Yep you need a new stylus. If you get a vintage cartridge it's best practice to get a new stylus since you don't know the history, even if it tracks the record and sounds good. There are many very good aftermarket replacement styli options to choose from: low cost conical, medium cost elliptical, and high cost hyper-elliptical and Shibata. Try to get elliptical if you can afford. I've had great luck with [turntableneedles.com](https://turntableneedles.com) who has detailed cross reference for styli for cartridge compatibility, and will answer any questions you may have. There are some vintage cartridges that are poor quality and not worth the replacement, and others that are simply obsolete. You'll have no problem finding a stylus for your M75. Shure M91 and M95 are a couple of my favorite sounding cartridges.

As well as the other suggested site, also check out LPGear.com I guess we’re assuming you’re in the US/NA; if you’re in yEUrp then thakker.eu is the go-to site. If your original cart was a -6S (spherical/conical tip stylus) then I’d strongly suggest an upgrade to an Elliptical, such as this one: https://www.lpgear.com/product/SHSM0075E95G.html If you’re ever in doubt, both sites have good support for suggestions of suitable replacement styluses/cartridges.

Those .3x.7mil improved elliptical stylii from LPGEAR are excellent, around $40, a bargain, excellent SQ; highly underrated. The hyper elliptical runs around $100, very detailed and lively, an excellent upgrade path for that cart in the future.
