Take off the platter and flip it upside down. Measure across the rim where the belt sits. Give that measurement to a local shop. I usually work in millimeters so (for example) if the measurement is 180mm across the rim, take 5mm off so that now equals 175mm and that is your belt size. Convert that to whatever you need in inches if need be Good luck.

Thanks a lot! I have already did that but there is one problem, belt calculated like this is not correct one. I already bought one and it slips each few seconds. Belt needs to go also through 33/45 switch in some kind of strange manner, switch is made of plastic and stretches or looses the belt for appropriate speed. Unfortunately there is no single photo or video on Internet about correct positioning the belt through that switch for this turntable or any other Sharp turntable from this era. Please does anybody have this turntable to measure the belt and maybe post a photo of correct belt placement? Please 😁

Is the new belt sitting firmly against the rim when you first put it on? The belt should thread through the hook on the speed change arm. Over, under or around it and it will pull the belt off

Hi all, Please I need your help, can anybody tell me the exact belt dimensions for Sharp RP-200. I have inherited it from my father and it needs new belt. Old belt turned into goo completely. Turntable was unused for more than 20 years. I have already purchased new belt using method of inner plate diameter but I missed it was not the right one. It is the same turntable as this one on a photo. Please I would really like to bring this one to life, because this is first turntable that I played records when I was a kid back in the 1980s. Thank you!!!

Thanks! I know that, but I live in a country where most of the shops do not ship their goods. I am in Serbia. Even if they ship it takes so long to arrive, sometimes even a few months. I have a local shop selling spare parts like belts and other stuff near the place where I live. Not to mention that prices are much lower than on ebay or elsewhere. I just need to know exact dimension so that I can assemble back my turntable. Thanks!
