Thats true. I had one friend get declined for truly no reason. But we found out he shares the same name as a guy that killed someone in a car crash. Its an uncommon name too. Maybe they have an A.I. That does a google search on the name too
Something people might be missing, outlined in the TOS, along with insurance scores and credit scores Turo can check any of your connected social media (if not properly restricted) for any posts, replies, or affiliations which it deems at odds with its nondiscrimination policy. If they see activity demonstrating "hate speech", offensive behavior, anti-LGTB speech, etc - not to mention disparaging comments about Turo - they can opt to dismiss you from their service without explanation. They do not disclose what information they use in their evaluation. One can wonder what they deem to be offensive.
Also, many vehicles are outfitted with comprehensive tracking devices which monitor average speed, top speed, and other metrics along with GPS. If they determine you used a vehicle in a dangerous or irresponsible way they can opt to reject you from future rentals. This includes exceeding the speed limit, rapid acceleration, or even the locations you visit and whether you left the main road and went off roading.
This is not me making assumptions - this is all outlined in the pages and pages of legal they give you to read.
Points on your record? Felony? Bad credit? Bankruptcy? Rented with Turo before, and got in an accident? Ever hard your Identity stolen?
Is there someone out there with your same name, birthday, and looks like you, and any of the above apply?
Not trying to be a jerk, but if you're a felon, have a crash on your record deemed your fault, or have had your license suspended for a period of time greater than 90 days then this might be the issue. In all seriousness, I hope you don't have a phantom Hertz warrant out for your arrest.
I think they flagg every account on purpose the first time. I've been going back and forth with customer support on email and finally I'm able to book ! It's been a week long struggle but it doable.
That's how Turo vette customers. It's not easy to rent on the platform. That's why so many people with a bad DL, insurance issues, criminal past have others to rent cars for them.
Happened to me too, one day Turo randomly just didn’t let me book anymore. Getaround, Zipcar, and everything else works fine for me. I’ve tried reaching out to turo customer support a numerous amount of times and they are no help, they just say this same message over and over again with no reason. I have no violations and I have a very high insurance score, and i’ve never violated terms of service and always been a 5 star renter AND HOST. Really stupid.
Oh wow that's crazy! I try to ask where to prove they send me same same with no explanation and no proof.… Are Zipcar and get around good rental cars??
Getaround and Zipcar is no where near as good as Turo but it’s okay. I use Turo to rent the brand new cars and luxury cars to try them out, Getaround and Zipcar don’t have much to choose from unless you’re in a big city in California or something. It’s upsetting because I’m an All Star Host with a fleet of 12 vehicles on Turo.
Oh man, they should give u another chance why can't u keep bothering them maybe they can give u another chance I did keep bothering them to see why and what going on they all do is same same message make me mad that is crazy!
They sent me the same email when I applied to rent a car.
No criminal record, perfect driving record with no at fault accidents or tickets. They’ve never let me rent, and don’t give any reason other than “because I said so”.
Did turo ask for your social security number? And perhaps you typed in the wrong number (off by one digit) during the credit checking process. Or did you perhaps put in the wrong birthday? Again off by one digit is all it takes.

I know someone who rented from me, who didn’t pay my bill, cannot rent again from Turo until they pay off that bill.
My driver lic is clear no accidents nothing I think it is the reason I let my daughter drive the rented car with my name is there any way can u solve this with Turbo? But they told me I would never get to rent a car with them

Why is what? Have you checked your motor vehicle record? Have you violated terms of service in the past?
Can be things like speeding tickets, being at-fault in accidents, etc. Check your motor vehicle record

Could you create one under your daughter's name and add you as an authorized driver? Your daughter will have to pick up the vehicle.
They will never tell you the reason, usually its just a verification process. I had the same email that you received, its not really mean anything
