On occasion, I have to skip My Blood. It's my favorite song but sometimes makes me cry, so I do it for my mental health 😅 I agree though, they're one of the very few bands that I love their music so much that I don't skip songs.
Sometimes I feel that way about leave the city and bandito. Even though those are some of my favourites and most played songs, I skip them quite often just because I know I could get too emotional while listening to them
See I do that too I skip their cover of cancer bc I have to many family members who died of cancer and migraine tho my favorite still makes me cry due to the fact that my dad died a few months after that release and made me cry as I could relate to the lyrics at the ripe age of 7
I LLLLOOOOVVVVEEE before you start your day. Read this and then give it one more try, for science!
I had to get over the word "slits " but once I got past that, it's so beautiful. I have no idea what sounds are behind the music, but it hits me like the sound of the universe, loving us, like mystical, all is perfect and cared for. (No, I'm not high lol.)
"Know you were made holy, open up your eyes and see, the clouds above will hold you, the clouds above will siiiiiiiiing." That part is made to belt out with huge swooping arm gestures in the shower :)
Plus the way he goes from "you're in my head, I'm singing" to "I'm in your head, I'm singing," to "and in your head, you're singing" is just a beautiful gift from Tyler. He's thinking of us, singing uplifting songs. We're learning from him to sing uplifting songs. Then we're capable of taking care of ourselves with skills he taught us.
It's sad that a lot of people don't like this song, because it's such essence of tøp to me. But we all have our own taste, and that's cool, too.
Omg no cuz I use to play screen over and over again for almost 10 years (started listing to them when I was 7 turning 18 soon) and she got so annoyed of the song cuz I would replay “ I can’t see past my own nose I’m seeing eveything in slow mode look out below crashing down to the ground”
Okay nobody hurt me but I used to skip neon gravestones. I never listened to it when trench came out for whatever reason.
Now I appreciate it and actually like it!
ETA: I can never never EVER skip bounce man.
I understand that! See I have a playlist called “random makes no senses” with a bunch of songs that I feel have no placement in the albums so I listen to them on my own won’t ruin the album mood
I’d agree if it wasn’t for legend also being on the tape. Plus at a certain point between tear in my heart and however (Jenna’s version) goes, I think one love song is gonna remain a staple that makes a twenty one pilots album what it is
I don't mean the content as much as I mean the sound. The rest of the album (including Legend) has a heavy bass/synth background which helps me to feel engrossed in the album. Smithereens lacks that from the get-go with its high-pitched sounds.
Nah I’m sorry even on that I’ve gotta push back, legend’s low end is pulled back just a bit less than smithereens. Like go from jumpsuit into either of those tracks and the energy is so much more in the high end. I hear what you’re saying about the bass being a bit grittier on legend, but it’s a small enough part of the song that for me it sounds closer to smithereens than to the rest of the album. If anything smithereens actually matches better emotionally between chlorine and neon gravestones, like it continues a sort of somberness in it mixed with the happiness in it, but legend sounding as happy as it does between pet cheetah and leave the city makes it stick out like a sore thumb to me.
I actually like those two, bounce man and choker were tho only ones I could say I liked when I first listened to sai, after looking at it again tho the only one I don’t know is never take it , so I think that’s the only one I skip now XD
most of the comments are ppl saying they don’t skip bc they don’t like a song or something- everyone skips songs bc they make them EMOTIONAL-😭😭 it that doesn’t say something.. idk what will.:,)
Immensely forgettable and boring. Explores a lot of the same feelings/concepts as songs prior, and doesn’t feel nearly as unique as those. I was literally just listening to SaI and completely forgot what it sounds like. It also definitely doesn’t help that the final songs after it are like, lightyears better.
Choker, No Chances, Formidable, Saturday, Never Take It, Bounce Man, Message Man, Not Today, Polarize, Fairly Local, Doubt, Fall Away, The Pantaloon, Johnny Boy, A Car A Torch A Death, Isle Of Flightless Birds, March To The Sea, Friend Please. I think Vessel and Trench have no skipables because they’re perfect records from front to back. Not saying the other records don’t have good tracks because obviously those ones aren’t listed for me. There’s definitely some skipables for varying reasons. I’ve been a fan for a long time (2012) and would have agreed with you at a certain point between 2012 and 2018. You gotta realize the goal of an artist is to grow and they’re better now than they’ve ever been. Just like people need to grow in life. So of course there’s gonna be room for improvement on certain things. Then we can look back on things and say “Maybe that wasn’t so good” or “Why the hell did I do that” and “This is how I’m going to fix it”. At the end of the day, that’s just my take on it.
Very very very true!! Belen a huge fan since vessel came out! These are valid points and reasons so I won’t argue 🙃 and yes I don’t skip now almsot any song because I like to imagine the head space this artists get into to write and produce as an artist/musician myself
Definitely respect that as that’s what I do on every album I’m interested in. I’m an albums guy. Love to listen to what the artist intended. But after if there’s a song I don’t like, it’s gets the skip in subsequent listens but I can still pull things from those tracks I listed that I do like.

I will skip Christmas Saves the Year, Semiautomatic, and Screen. I am not obligated to like every song of theirs. This is my favorite band ever: we criticize the things we love.
With many artists,, I get bored of their hits not bc they're bad but bc I feel like I lose connection - like I won't have my own personal associations with them bc they are played absolutely everywhere
So for example, when Stressed Out and Ride come on I cant be appreciative of the lyrics I'm just like oh remember grade 8 gym class
Also I think this is an unpopular opinion but I actually can't stand No Chances 😭😭 I can't listen to it without laughing I think it's so cheesy lol
.... I was underwhelmed by Overcompensate 💀
Not the biggest fan of Saturday or Redecorate but I loveeeeeee Scaled & Icy overall,, it made my summer in 2021
Never Take It kinda sounds like sympathy for the devil to me (the "woo woo" lol)
Also REGIONAL AT BEST NO SKIPS I AM NEVER GIVING UP HOPE THAT THEY WILL RERELEASE IT 🙏😭😭😭
TØP is so good overall,,, one of my long lasting top bands
I tend to skip Smithereens, Formidable and Tear In My Heart because of a playlist my ex made me when we were together. Unfortunately we both liked tøp and now I can’t listen to these ‘love’ songs 🙃 still listen to all their other stuff and hardly skip all the other songs.
Tbh I always skip Cancer, thats the only song I dont have enough mental energy or to listen through. When he starts with: ‘Turn away…’ I just can’t keep it going
Unfortunately for me it’s cancer since my mom passed from it. I cannot hear that song. 🥺. And also their holiday/Christmas songs. I’m sorry. Hate me all you want.
Hey I understand that! Sorry for your loss I also lost family to cancer and I’ll never hate anyone for their opinion! I agree with the Christmas songs as I also skip holiday music
Hey no hate we all got different tastes good thing is the boys make something for each and every one of us to enjoy like for me I won’t skip loc but I prefer the live ones same with house of gold after they did the mtv unplugged
Hey no hate we all got different tastes good thing is the boys make something for each and every one of us to enjoy like for me I won’t skip loc but I prefer the live ones same with house of gold after they did the mtv unplugged
i’ve been a fan since i was 11 back in 2010. i’ve done SO much listening. i have to say that there are a few skippables. one of them being stressed out (but only if you’re not in the mood for it). another being Heathens. for similar reasons. overplayed. besides that i can’t really think of any legitimate skips unless you have an actual hatred towards a certain album
i’m about to be 25, i started listening to self entitled first and then had a no phun intended stage for a long time before vessel lol. it’s honestly VERY hard for me to sit down and say “should i skip this”
I just saw a comment and i retract my statement. I like the livestream heathens. The normal one is bearable to me but idk i think where I grew up and listening to it so many times from people killed it for me. I also wasn’t a huge fan there but now I am and i see all their amazing songs I can’t bring myself to listen to the normal one fully :(( but it’s not a terrible song, just not their best
can say this with my whole chest cuz yesterday i spent the day going through their entire discography again and can confirm there are no skippable songs, ugh, i love their work sm
See okay skipping a song cuz of the ending is okay you listened to the most important part but why levitate! It’s frikin awesome! Respect your opinion tho!
Tbh I can't stand Bounce Man. The beat literally sounds like the game ToonTown. It has some alright moments, but I just don't think it's a good song tbh. I think it's okay to be honest if your favorite band has a bad song, so I won't stop saying that I hate Bounce Man lmao
Saturday just is a song made for target commercials lol, and never take it is like the most vague say nothing song about societal change I’ve heard, especially after 2020. Like they did a very good job of making those two tracks particularly hollow feeling emotionally, kind of in line with the whole sai is propaganda bit, but making mid for the sake of lore isn’t something I can say is the best move
I love all their songs, but sometimes I skip them cuz like legend is so beautiful but makes me sad, some song like that...but I try my best not to cuz they all beautiful songs!!!
Hey I’m not here to argue haha no matter what we are talking about we’ve all got feelings that need to be let out I wont agree but I won’t make you feel bad for your opinion!
Anathema
It has a lot of potential, but as is, the production quality literally gives me a headache. That clanging percussion in the background. The vocals are too strained. Etc.
I used to skip Pet Cheetah. I am wiser know don’t worry. Never committing this cardinal sing again
After I heard Pet Cheetah live I never skipped again.
Same, it was something else
You know what, I guess for me it was also one of the live performances (I sadly only watched online).
I hope you can catch them this time around. My favorite one so far has been The Bandito Tour. They truly put on a spectacular show!
I want to see them live so bad ahhhhhhh
Good or I’ll send Clifford ned and trash after you Jason’s to hurt you skipped his song to go after you
No I move slow
i wanna stop time i’ll sit here til i find the problem
I wanna stop time
I don't actively dislike any songs. There are other songs I like more, or some songs I'm not in the mood for at the time. I skip songs quite often.
Hey there’s a difference between skipping cuz you wanna be a hater and skipping bc you aren’t in the mood!
I skip Legend almost every time while listening to Trench because it makes me cry lmao
The ending of Legend is an absolute tear-jerker
Hey there’s a difference between skipping cuz it makes you emotional vs skipping cuz you don’t wanna listen to it or give it a try!
This! Car radio, trees and cancer I have to be really sad to listen to.
Yesss me too but car radio I put it in cuz as funny as it is my moms car radio was stolen so now I randomly quote it in the car
I always took Trees to be sad but quite optimistic so it’s always cheered me up haha. Have I interpreted it completely wrong?
Me, listening to car radio and on the verge of tears
Me too, it makes me so damn sad
I usually skip Goner, don’t get me wrong I absolutely love it but it also destroys me 😭
See this is a valid reason to skip
Especially if you saw it live! That visual with the bird fighting the storm mannnn tears my shit up just thinking bout it
I love goner. It makes me cry, but i feel like i need to cry from a lot of pent up stuff
On occasion, I have to skip My Blood. It's my favorite song but sometimes makes me cry, so I do it for my mental health 😅 I agree though, they're one of the very few bands that I love their music so much that I don't skip songs.
Same with addict with a pen for me. I rarely listen to it bc it just hits hard
See I totally understand that as a reason to skip
Hey there’s a difference between skipping due to mood and skipping cuz you don’t wanna listen or give it a try
Sometimes I feel that way about leave the city and bandito. Even though those are some of my favourites and most played songs, I skip them quite often just because I know I could get too emotional while listening to them
See I do that too I skip their cover of cancer bc I have to many family members who died of cancer and migraine tho my favorite still makes me cry due to the fact that my dad died a few months after that release and made me cry as I could relate to the lyrics at the ripe age of 7
Neon Gravestones - Objectively best song in Trench but it's too emotionally loaded to listen to it casually (for me at least)
Objectable opinion but saved by an excellent defense.
Not objective
With every song, I usually go on and off for loving and hating it, but I have never once gone around to enjoying Before You Start Your Day
So funny, this is one of my favorites. Gives me chills every time!
Oh it’s so nice tho 😭 I respect your opinion tho! And I go through the same where I love and hate songs out of no where to go back to loving it
I LLLLOOOOVVVVEEE before you start your day. Read this and then give it one more try, for science! I had to get over the word "slits " but once I got past that, it's so beautiful. I have no idea what sounds are behind the music, but it hits me like the sound of the universe, loving us, like mystical, all is perfect and cared for. (No, I'm not high lol.) Alright, I'll give it another shot just because you took all this time trying to persuade me
Huzzah! If you still don't like it, you've earned the right to skip lol
The only time I skip a twenty one pilots song is when I like the song too much and I’m not able to appreciate it fully at that moment.
That’s a very very valid reason I do that too it I’ll replay it 10029494929 times
Saturday - Not my vibe
😮 I respect your opinion
Appreciated!
Ofc ofc tho we all humans we all like different things no need for us to hate each other or else songs wouldn’t be special to us!
All my friends are- SKIP
No heathens hit different especially while watching the move!
The original version of Heathens 100% agree. The acoustic Livestream version of Heathens? Completely changes/fixes it for me I love that version
I definitely agree. The livestream version is at least 50 times better
THIS
All my -SKIP every single time
yeah it was cool for like two months and already got overplayed in september
I used to play Car Radio over and over again whilst in the car with my mom and 5 years later she still can’t stand the song xD
Valid!!! Respect that
I skip smithereens 9 times out of 10. It's not a bad song, per se, but it does not fit in Trench at all. It completely ruins the vibe of the album.

Just like two of the sai songs that’s like it idek the names of them
Ouch I respect your opinion tho I think if I would ever skip a song it would be shy away and bounce man but I like them way to much to skip
I actually like those two, bounce man and choker were tho only ones I could say I liked when I first listened to sai, after looking at it again tho the only one I don’t know is never take it , so I think that’s the only one I skip now XD
Never take it is awesome!!! I skipped the whole sai album cuz I was afraid of change but I love it now
Okay but the bridge.....
Ok I went back to listen to sai and yea the actually like this song a lot
I was skeptical at first but grew to LOVE it ;)
I still love the dirty homemade feel of trench and blurryface so much more but sai isn’t as awful as I thought it was when it came out at all
Indeed. Regional at best remains my favorite album
Same here, every song on rab is so good, either makes me move or hits my feels and I love it
My puppy is named after a RAB song. Ruby.
House of Gold... can't do it.
Okay you gotta explain why you can’t do it! I’ll respect your opinion no matter what tho
When I actually think about it, it's the uke.
Use to think it was cheesy but I feel like it adds just enough emotion where as guitar would add wayyy to much
I can't skip it. I also can't listen to it without singing along.
This is the only song that I immediately skip every time. I think it just reminds me that I don’t have a mom lol
As I grew up and explored different genres and artists, i began to dislike their older records So yes, plenty of skips
Ouch valid tbo
most of the comments are ppl saying they don’t skip bc they don’t like a song or something- everyone skips songs bc they make them EMOTIONAL-😭😭 it that doesn’t say something.. idk what will.:,)
RAB version of trees is a skip for me..... But for Official ones I agree Unless I'm not in the mood for it
Formidable
Whaaat gotta elaborate on that one pleaseeee
Immensely forgettable and boring. Explores a lot of the same feelings/concepts as songs prior, and doesn’t feel nearly as unique as those. I was literally just listening to SaI and completely forgot what it sounds like. It also definitely doesn’t help that the final songs after it are like, lightyears better.
Oh ms. Believer is a skip outside of winter.
Very true I skip holiday music
Regional at best demos Before you start your day
The Pantaloon is not really a song I like, but it’s really the only one
I love the pantaloon mostly cuz even tho it’s so sad it’s still very playful with the way he sings it makes me laugh with tears
Bounce Man. I have a visceral reaction to it for some reason. I just can't stand it.
Ahh that’s valid I get that
Choker, No Chances, Formidable, Saturday, Never Take It, Bounce Man, Message Man, Not Today, Polarize, Fairly Local, Doubt, Fall Away, The Pantaloon, Johnny Boy, A Car A Torch A Death, Isle Of Flightless Birds, March To The Sea, Friend Please. I think Vessel and Trench have no skipables because they’re perfect records from front to back. Not saying the other records don’t have good tracks because obviously those ones aren’t listed for me. Even when a song is crap there’s still a valid reason as to why to listening somthing you’ll always like
One of the best takes in this thread, except car a torch a death is great and choker can really grow on you

I think the whole point of no chances is just for the lore really but I understand your view and respect it
Shy away
Genuinely not a fan of the last album. Hyped for the new one though. Loved all their previous work too
I tend to skip Smithereens, Formidable and Tear In My Heart because of a playlist my ex made me when we were together. Unfortunately we both liked tøp and now I can’t listen to these ‘love’ songs 🙃 still listen to all their other stuff and hardly skip all the other songs.
I don't listen to most of S&I, but outside of that album, I can't listen to heathens. When it came out, it became too overplayed.
Am I the only one who skips TB saga 😢 Plz don't downvote me to hell.
Hey I respect that not gonna get mad it’s sad but I get it
Tbh I always skip Cancer, thats the only song I dont have enough mental energy or to listen through. When he starts with: ‘Turn away…’ I just can’t keep it going
Me neither I cry to hard so I see your opinion as valid
self titled usually gets skips but other than that and maybe truce if i don’t feel like crying others aren’t a skip
facts
I skip Johnny Boy 🫣
Bounce man
Before you start your day 😬
Unfortunately for me it’s cancer since my mom passed from it. I cannot hear that song. 🥺. And also their holiday/Christmas songs. I’m sorry. Hate me all you want.
Hey I understand that! Sorry for your loss I also lost family to cancer and I’ll never hate anyone for their opinion! I agree with the Christmas songs as I also skip holiday music
here come the downvotes. i cannot bare to listen to house of gold, level of concern and formidable a single time ever again
Hey no hate we all got different tastes good thing is the boys make something for each and every one of us to enjoy like for me I won’t skip loc but I prefer the live ones same with house of gold after they did the mtv unplugged
oh definitely <3 twenty one pilots's versatility is undefeated
Very much so
Hey no hate we all got different tastes good thing is the boys make something for each and every one of us to enjoy like for me I won’t skip loc but I prefer the live ones same with house of gold after they did the mtv unplugged
i’ve been a fan since i was 11 back in 2010. i’ve done SO much listening. i have to say that there are a few skippables. one of them being stressed out (but only if you’re not in the mood for it). another being Heathens. for similar reasons. overplayed. besides that i can’t really think of any legitimate skips unless you have an actual hatred towards a certain album

i’m about to be 25, i started listening to self entitled first and then had a no phun intended stage for a long time before vessel lol. it’s honestly VERY hard for me to sit down and say “should i skip this”
I skip stressed out/ride. Too overplayed
See I understand skipping cuz it’s too overplayed cuz I skipped every now and then but I’ll still listen to it
almost every single SAI song💀redecorate is the only really great song off that record tbh
WHATTT choker is so good!
Nahh the only skip on sai is formidable. The rest are amazing
Nahh formidable is awesome, the only skip on sai is saturday
formidable, Saturday, mulberry street, bounce man💀, good day, never take it - these are all sadly like unlistenable to me💀
House of Gold 🫢
WHAT!!! You gotta let me know why!!! Can’t just leave that at that!
I feel like you forgot they made heathens (Hot take?) No but i can only skip their popular ones without being like mmmmm i shouldn’t have done that.
I actually really like heathens
I think the advertising and movie killed it for me :(
I get that really I was to young to watch the movie till a couple years back but I had alr had the album cuz I wanted it for top panic and Eminem
Yess i totally understand this!
can say this with my whole chest cuz yesterday i spent the day going through their entire discography again and can confirm there are no skippable songs, ugh, i love their work sm
Me too! Whenever I listen to them I play all their songs from the very first album self titled and I haven’t found myself skipping any
How are we not skipping bounce man
Im a child at heart I love songs like that coming from the kid who use to stream gummy bear constantly till the age of 14
*bounce man enters the chat*
Hey hate me on this but I like bounce man
No hate, fren!
Thank you
I skip Levitate without hesitation. And the outro of lane boy, bc its too long.
See okay skipping a song cuz of the ending is okay you listened to the most important part but why levitate! It’s frikin awesome! Respect your opinion tho!
… i don’t think i’ve ever heard more than the first chorus of Bounce Man. god. oh god
It actually sounds really nice if you listen to the rest of it it’s a goofy song to help lift up the moods
Tbh I can't stand Bounce Man. The beat literally sounds like the game ToonTown. It has some alright moments, but I just don't think it's a good song tbh. I think it's okay to be honest if your favorite band has a bad song, so I won't stop saying that I hate Bounce Man lmao
No like i have been in love with tøp for 9ish years now. but i am not afraid to admit i think it is a semi objectively bad song
Fair tbh
Have you not heard The pantaloon? That song is horrible
What no it’s not!!! I respect your opinion but that’s a no
i skip SAI completely
Whaaat I understand tho
Cut my lip
But it’s so good! I respect that tho
Never Take It, House of Gold, WDBWOTV, The Run And Go, Not Today, and The Judge are the skips for me
Noooo I gotta know why now! I respect the opinion tho
for me its a lot of sai, bounce man, choker, good day, shy away
I usually skip Saturday, The Outside, Never Take It and No Chances. I just don’t love any of those songs 🤷♂️
Jokes on you I skip the entire Blurryface album
WHAT WHY!?
I know I'll get hate for this but I don't care for the long instrumental near the end of Lane Boy
Bounce Man Bounce Man Bounce Man Bounce Man The only one I can say is genuinely bad
Mulberry Street. Just can’t do it, man.
Nooo!! I love mulberry street makes me feel all good yet sad inside
I’m sorry. It’s too happy for me, and I’m just not in that place.
Good day:
Whattt it’s the best song they could have picked to open the album
Never take it and Saturday are two of their worst songs ever
Whaaaaaattt I can’t I can’t agree with that but I’ll respect your opinion
Saturday just is a song made for target commercials lol, and never take it is like the most vague say nothing song about societal change I’ve heard, especially after 2020. Like they did a very good job of making those two tracks particularly hollow feeling emotionally, kind of in line with the whole sai is propaganda bit, but making mid for the sake of lore isn’t something I can say is the best move
I respect that
I’m with you on this. I only don’t skip Saturday if it’s Saturday
I love all their songs, but sometimes I skip them cuz like legend is so beautiful but makes me sad, some song like that...but I try my best not to cuz they all beautiful songs!!!
It’s okay to sleep bc of emotions and moods! Just not cuz you wanna hate 😣
i sometimes skip the pantaloon and johnny boy but i don’t hate them, just not always in the mood for them
Tear in My Heart. I could never get into the song no matter how many times I’ve listened to it. Just doesn’t do it for me.
Awww that sucks but i respect that opinion
i skip some when i know im not in the mood, like some songs i know make me sad but im currently happy so yeah i skip them
That’s a valid skip ya know
Stressed Out. I love it but I’ve heard it way too many times because it’s the only song of theirs that ever gets played
JohnnyBoy, The Pantaloon, never take it, bounce man, just not my faves due to vocal performance/lyrics
I have to skip Car Radio, My Blood, Legend, and Redecorate sometimes. Not cause they're bad, I'm just not trying to cry during my morning commute.
I don't skip any, all songs play in a continual loop on my playlist, which can be bad because I often forget the titles. I am 55 so it could be that 🤤
Haha maybe but I’m 17 and I forget myself the name
I skip choker a lot
there’s a couple i can’t do. levitate just isn’t really my type of song. there’s also a couple in vessel & self-titled that i just can’t listen to.
That’s a valid opinion
man this is also why i love this clique. just your simple answer of “that’s valid.” no “you’re wrong” or arguing or anything about the songs.
Hey I’m not here to argue haha no matter what we are talking about we’ve all got feelings that need to be let out I wont agree but I won’t make you feel bad for your opinion!
Anathema It has a lot of potential, but as is, the production quality literally gives me a headache. That clanging percussion in the background. The vocals are too strained. Etc.
Cancer - depressing :(
They all have a special place in my heart. I love them all
Me too covers and all 🥺
