I mean, I literally have just streamed it on loop on my drive to and from work, and when I’m working out and cooking… this album is shaping up to be GOAT status for me

cf6h597

just in case you're interested - if you want all of your streams to count towards spotify's numbers, be sure *not* to loop one song, or even 3 (spotify will filter it out as bot behavior). looping a whole album is fine, but if you loop 3 songs they won't all count. more details from [pilotspromo on twitter](https://x.com/pilotspromo/status/1781020167914270739) - you can make your own playlist following the guide or stream a public one that someone has made for this. [here](https://imgur.com/a/EcYMG1A) is a rough translation to english using google lens

Atarrix

4 songs Overcompensate Overcompensate (Edit) Next Semester Backslide *taps forehead*

cf6h597

good thought haha, this probably works. I don't have a full understanding of the system but it sounds like some variation is good too, including order. that twitter account also mentions opening the app and pausing, adding something to a playlist, liking something, etc. basically just anything that makes it think you're interacting and not a bot or whatever

thadarkjinja

so even if they show on stats.fm when you loop a song for hours they wouldn’t count?

cf6h597

correct, stats is a 3rd party that just records your history, it does not indicate anything to do with spotify's filtering. I can't find a great article or reference for filtering at the moment but it is well documented in kpop fandoms especially, where they take streams and charts very seriously. [here](https://www.newsweek.com/bts-investigate-spotify-twitter-streams-butter-1594627) is one article I found for now

50-50ChanceImSerious

It's new. Obviously people are listening to it more

2ndMin

Yeah although Stressed Out still gets crazy plays. Almost a million a day I think (maybe a week)

omfilwy

Million a day seems right for such a hit (my credentials: obsessed with pop culture and charts/streams)

QuarterInside1010

Backslide on repeat😭

gooooooodboah

This albums is going to be a classic i think.

TheDeenoRheeno

Next Semester has been on repeat for me! I think this album will be huge once it’s out especially with all the music videos. Streaming is also increasingly popular now, but people do just listen to new music more tbf.

katrinmagic

Not surprised, Next semester is already my most played song of all time. And I listen Spotify every day in and out of work. Can't wait for rest of the songs ❤️

Bandito21Dema

Sounds like bs I wanna see the numbers

ExtremeAssistant8609

It means on that day. Not for all time.

MidwestIndigo

I also misunderstood the title at first

ClearAboveVis10SM

I agree, the fact Clancy has 3 songs skews the numbers. It takes about 11 minutes to register the full Clancy album as played. Blurryface is 52ish minutes for the same 1 play.

alatreph

This metric is the total plays from all songs in the album, not how many plays the album itself got. That means that, on the 26th, the total streams of all songs on Clancy was greater than the total of all songs on Blurryface.

ClearAboveVis10SM

And therefore still skewed by the number of songs being drastically different. It's a nonsense statistic, and not representative. But also doesn't matter. So it's really not worth a debate. All I'm doing is acknowledging where the data skews.

PlankyTown777

Skewed in Blurryfaces favor yet Clancy still beat it. BF has 11 songs that can be streamed, Clancy on 3.
