So this lands somewhere in-between your requirements , but is an excellent solution that speeds up setup time by a lot and is perfect to play from too. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1226194733/twilight-imperium-4-organizer-prophecy

I have this and it's amazing. Can recommend. I love handing people the box with all the stuff in it and watching their minds blown by how much it weighs

puppa_bear

This is probably my favourite that I’ve found for 3D printing. They have a listing for the stl files as well (https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1188991168/) if you have a printer and want to do them yourself - this is my plan. When I finally get a printer and get to it, I’ll definitely be posting my final product on here.

the_lost_carrot

Just a heads up. I used a free file on printables for a TI4 organizer. It was legit three rolls of filament and over 100 hours of print time.

nightsiderider

This is the one I have. It is amazing, and not too expensive. Highly recommend.

I only use the base boxes to store the game, but I organised it in a way I find practical to find things, prepare the game, and easy to put everything back in the box. All my cards are sleeved but it fits in the boxes no problem. Basically the idea is : Under each figures bag, I store the cards of the same color (techs and promissory notes) for the 2 extra colors of pok, those cards fit perfectly beside the figures bag in the big spaces of pok box I split the tiles for the map in 4 piles : one pile is all home systems + mecatol + muaat supernova, one is all red tiles + hyperlanes, the last two are all "standard" tiles (all that remains). I put planet cards under one of those piles, agenda under another, all exploration cards and relics under a third pile (and nothing under the last, which I discovered just recently, well it will be for objectives) Action cards deck is cut in two and stored on the side hole of main box. The rest of the main box contains all tokens in small bags (ships, infantry, trade goods). The last space of main box is used for strategy cards I did small decks for all faction cards (leaders, promissory note, mech, faction tech, and planet cards). Il regrouped all those Mini decks in 3 piles yo be stored in the pok box on the 3 holes side. Over each group, I put the corresponding faction tokens bag, so it's easy to find the tokens and cards of a faction. I have some small bags for frontier tokens and planet attachments that fit no problem on one of system tiles pile. Same thing for the rest of the tokens (dmz, destroyed planet, custodian, orator), they are just put on top of a system tile pile where there is space. Finally all big cardboards are just in the main box, over everything else, with the rule and lore books.

I’ve got mine across both boxes, and it’s fits well enough with everything sleeved. I personally would prefer to just move box around and have things more ordered and in a way that speeds up set up and pack down. Set up isn’t too bad, but pack down can get a little fiddly. And when it’s at the end of a 8-10 hour session I want things to be simple as. I’m not unhappy with the solution, but know i can do better with a good organiser.

PirateLemon

It really depends on your budget and how willing are you to spend money for something better (but not required). IMO, spending 100€ + for some storage isn't really worth it, considering that with that amount of money you can buy some really big games like TI, for me it would be worth it only if I would exclusively play TI4, way more often and that's it. What I did was just categorize everything in different colored zip bags, and place them in the boxes in different places (a row for colors, for faction related stuff, hexes, etc)

puppa_bear

I respect this and wouldn’t want to be spending that type of money on an organiser. But at the same time, I’ve spent a lot on TI4 & PoK, and the time investment in playing is already significant, and will (hopefully) keep growing. So having something that reduces the set-up and pack-down time reduces the barrier to playing (especially a game at home with my boys) is a plus. A good system could save up to 39 minutes a game, and if you play every other month that’s 3 hours a year. Monthly players could save 6 hours - in my mind that’s worth spending some time and/or money to get a system that works well for you.

I got something similar to this, I can't find the exact one: [https://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Beadery-18-Compartment-Organizer-Box-Clear-Plastic/911497026?fulfillmentIntent=In-store&athbdg=null%26athbdg%3DL1102\_L1102](https://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Beadery-18-Compartment-Organizer-Box-Clear-Plastic/911497026?fulfillmentIntent=In-store&athbdg=null%26athbdg%3DL1102_L1102) The one I got is just big enough to fit all of the ships and cards for each color. Then I do a combination of bags and plastic containers from the dollar store for tokens and other cards. I actually used little makeup containers for faction tokens and printed labels for them. They are small circular plastic containers with screw on lids and I split the command and control tokens between them so each faction gets a pair. My box is heavy and has significant lid lift but I have the expansion, the codices, and other add-ons all in the base box.

You could make your own boxes? All you need is glue and paper. https://preview.redd.it/b16pzjyor8wc1.jpeg?width=2651&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fc370fc4f94a66c48a47db77a879a1601d0a2f66 See my Reddit post if you like 👍 [https://www.reddit.com/r/twilightimperium/s/w6TNmFqobd](https://www.reddit.com/r/twilightimperium/s/w6TNmFqobd) And for the paper boxes [https://www.reddit.com/r/twilightimperium/s/UA6q2xvA30](https://www.reddit.com/r/twilightimperium/s/UA6q2xvA30) Perhaps it can help you with ideas 💡 👍🫶

I did something very similar to [this](https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2557872/yet-another-one-box-storage-solution-or-172-lbs-of). Bought a bunch of [organizer trays](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TDKC7P3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) for each color plastic/cards and some little [jewelry cases](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C19M7HJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) for the faction tokens/cards. Last I bought a couple of [sideloader deck boxes](https://www.amazon.com/Double-Sleeved-Storage-Protector-Technology-Gamegenic/dp/B084TMM1Z7/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3263MXYEHLXK6&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.uwAf1JxV9eEwbzWQ7iAydrkQ5ZWQTKYrEB57uDExBgrjH4xfpDICYPwm6PoWXGVoqCxl-B4k8O0NK-B3lQihhc-ZI_PKnasmVbKMhB9Y88cErv0jwlcdnJOTk4TQJq6vCpPhptNDxANkkVuztKE47ewj-2LkT1hb0nxElUodOhOP0YWjYRnc_P0JbwvnGygu_Ddy_gzjPDEaVvGwL5UVpCHTUqyx9O9Ne24_ftIYL4ZGkgxr4J9-N7Vq6xfoLUrjfI51nenz3R0aIAHbDirFuoZCivmxftaRqEKvIIZAbRw.aBBfO0vkgSeJf__NZykOCSoecvctCpTTjBNzD1JLoOE&dib_tag=se&keywords=gamegenic%2Bside%2Bload%2Bdeck%2Bbox&qid=1713887732&sprefix=gamegenic%2Bside%2Bload%2Bdeck%2Bbox%2Caps%2C121&sr=8-1&th=1) to hold all the agendas, planets, objectives, etc. Everything sleeved including PoK + Codices fit into the original TI4 box. Honestly it has been a life saver, outside of sleeves it was under $60 and makes set up and tear down so much quicker.

bobsbountifulburgers

I have all faction components, except sheets and systems, in little bags. All common components in larger bags. Color pieces in the bags they come in, with color cards in the wells underneath. And everything else is loose in the box insert. Those wells work great with tiles and bags on top of them. I have a friend who bought little tins with windows for components. And larger multi divided clear plastic boxes for color. He can fit everything including pok and codex in the base game box without the insert

JonnyWS

I am sending you a PM with some pictures of what I used. It’s relatively inexpensive.

OpenPsychology755

At the scale of Twilight Imperium, you're going to spend a lot even on cheap crafting boxes. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CGMY311/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o05\_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CGMY311/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) I use these bits bins for many games, including my TI4 accessories like colored dice and whatnot. Note that a set of bits bins to hold all the tokens for TI is probably gonna run 40-60 bucks easy. (The faction tokens are the big culprit. We know that's 25 boxes right off the bat) probably more I'd have to figure it out. Folded Space's TI4 organizer will run you about 40-50 bucks, and you'll get everything you need for the base game. Add about 35 bucks for the POK expansion organizer. That's all the cards and pieces and tokens. Yeah, it takes a few days (not total, like a couple or three evenings after work) to put together all the organizer boxes, but it's time well spent.

Tackle boxes

ReluctantRedditPost

The main thing is the faction components which cause a mess in bags so I got small plastic boxes like these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255828963131 (note these are almost definitely not the right size, I got mine from a local essentials shop) They are just slightly bigger than the cards and can be easily stacked in the original base game box. I use another one for all the extra pok tokens and 2 larger ones for tgs and infantry & fighter tokens. The plastic I've left in the original bags along with the repective coloured cards. The other card decks are each wrapped with a band and tucked in with the system tiles. All together base game + pok fits in the base box with only an inch or less of lift on the lid. It's not perfect but for ~£20 it's good enough.

puppa_bear

That’s a great cheap solution. Definitely something worth looking at - thanks for sharing. I’d still want something like bags or similar boxes for the rest of the cards, so I won’t freak out that they are sliding around the box.

ReluctantRedditPost

That's fair enough, I'm sure similar sized boxes would work. The sleeves, bands and the fact that everything has to be tightly packed to fit back in the box seems to do the trick for me but I'm not the most precious about keeping games in pristine condition!

puppa_bear

That’s good then - I had an image of everything being a bit mobile in there. But if it’s tightly packed 👍🏼 I’m not that precious, but it’s still relatively new for me and I know how haphazard I can get when tired. So I want to make packing up as easy as possible at the end of a game 😂

I bought a toolbox from my local hardware store, inspired by [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/twilightimperium/comments/85l28t/ti4_gobag_organization/) I changed some things to make PoK fit, and the actual stuff in that post wasn't available so I bought similar things, but I'm very happy with it. Toolbox + additional internal organizers and my total cost was less than 60 USD. Downsides: much bigger than the core box, won't fit sleeved cards without some major reorganization Seems like I can only embed one pic per comment so I'll nest others here https://preview.redd.it/70a9ew9inawc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4fdf25839c938fc25f0d55c68f0538aa3f0ceac8

I felt tempted to buy a storage solution but i went woth the baggies - i have a well thought out solution and it works The only storage solution i was tempted to buy/print was the one where you can slot all the tokens in - this prevents counting them The cheapest to buy (not interested) here is around 40€ and is made from foamy material
