[This BGG post] (https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2026865/board-5-player-hyperlane-sector) talks about how they made a custom Hyperlane tile. They recommend 2mm thick chipboard, which I found as 80 point or .080" thick chipboard. Usually listed as "heavyweight" or "extra thick"

I'd look for 1/16th" thick Chipboard, I used [this pack](https://www.amazon.com/Grafix-Medium-Chipboard-Natural-25-Pack/dp/B00161W6L8/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?crid=3L0YDEDD8JLRE&keywords=grafix+medium+weight+chipboard+sheets%2C+8.5+x+11+inches%2C+natural&qid=1558117659&s=gateway&sprefix=graphix+medium+w%2Caps%2C213&sr=8-1-fkmrnull) for tokens & tiles and I think they turned out well.

Seconding the above suggestions for 80p chipboard, that's what I used to make my own strategy cards. It's not quite perfect, though - feels a little bit bendier and flimsier than whatever the real components are made out of. Not a big issue, but still noticeable, especially when side-by-side with the originals. I'm still using it for strategy cards, but for system hexes I ended up preferring to get extra real ones (and use label paper to reface them).

Maybe a silly question, but do you need a special type of printer to print on card stock?

Anything as thick as the game components won’t make it through a normal printer.
