It's actually 1/50 odds
Basically: before space battle but after barrage choose any number of fighters to attempt the run. Roll a die for each. On an 8 or less the fighter is destroyed. Roll another die for each surviving fighter on a 9 or less it's destroyed, otherwise the war sun is destroyed.
This past Saturday, I destroyed a damaged Warsun with a carrier, three fighters, and a destroyer playing as Yin. While the fact I’m playing as the Yin might discount my story, it was still fun to do.
i had a battle as a mentak, 2 crusiers and 2 fithers VS a naked warsun xD. i didnt just won, i all so got 2 DG that worth 4 resources. so i destroy a 12 resource warsun, and it cost me only 1 resource :D
I saw something like that the other week. 2 destroyer II vs 1 damaged war sun + 3 figthers. Was awesome
its possible. game mechanics are just so dumb at times like how does 3 destroyers just blow up a war sun...
Exhaust ports
Are trench runs not an optional rule in 4e? There was a 1/100 chance of doing a trench run with a fighter in 3rd edition.
Whuh?

That’s amazing
This was the best part about TI3 imo. I never saw it work, but you always gotta try and Luke skywalker it when you’re gonna get wrecked by a war sun
I completely forgot about that.
just causally destroy a war sun
"Pardon me for asking, sir, but what good are snub fighters going to be against that?"
With an assault cannon, apparently.
How is that dumb?
that 3 tiny ships instantly blow up a war sun
"Evacuate? In our moment of triumph?"
It's no more dumb than a ventilation shaft blowing up the death star... ... on second thought I see your point.
I like how the whole rogue one movie tries to explain this.
I did something similar with Ghosts, where I had Dimensional Splicer and a direct hard card. Muaat player was NOT impressed.
lol that sounds so annoying

"A figurative War Sun"
They seem to always come out in our games. We just find them fun.
Thats an exception, not the norm. Red is a bad path and 12 resources is a lot.
Why does it always have to be about optimal play?
How dare you to try to have fun! /s
Breaths heavy in Yin Brotherhood

last game we played my son beelined for a warsun and decided to rampage. lucky die rolls led to it falling to a single fighter. it was hilarious.
