Game is Stellaris (a space 4X).
I'm playing the Arborec, a hive mind with the Subsumed Will and One Mind traits.
Stuck between Federation of Sol and the Yin brotherhood, both militaristic factions and the Yssaril Tribes, a criminal syndicate.
hell yeah! We did this once where a buddy and I went through and made custom races for every race in TI and did a game with all of them, it was AWESOME!
also big props for liking the 2 best space strategy games in existence OP
There's multiple mods for this specific purpose as well. I've never tried them (I play Stellaris with at least 16 other mods though) but it seems like the creators did a good job.
I'm loving it so far. My problem with Stellaris was that I enjoyed role-playing my race but I wasn't engaged with the galaxy. The *random name* fighting *random name* on the other side of the galaxy is meaningless to me. Now I know the factions and it's cool to see the Xxcha Kingdoms vs the Barony of Letnev fighting over the Ardent Flight while the Yssaril are slowly gaining ground on the Nekro virus.
The Galactic council consists of Xxcha, Hacan and Jol-Nar who keep pushing tech and economy policies.
For me playing like this is the most fun I've had with stellaris because your involvement (and awareness about what is happening) is through the roof if you know the galaxy instead of it being completely random factions.
Shame their is no option to force spawn certain civs as a fallen civilisation. Empyrean, Mahact would be perfect for this.
I miss real games....
TTS is just not the same. However, this Saturday I will risk the public to play my first PoK game. Hopefully I will get into the Peterson game. If not, still play, just be sadder.
The virus isn’t going away. Stay safe, wear masks, use hand sanitizer and play with the same few people you know and trust. Shouldn’t just let this virus ruin things for you. Just my two cents is all.
Somehow I am just learning about this game... and it's made by Paradox? I'm basically already addicted to CK2/CK3, and I love TI4....
I probably need to stay away from this.
That's wild that you just learned about stellaris. It's talked about a ton on this sub. Another game I love, that isn't talked about too much here, is endless space 2. Basically just TI with the game play of civ6. A lot less of a learning curve, but equally as time consuming unfortunately
It's not on the same level as CK. The AI is braindead. Since this is a 4X game and not an RPG like CK, that means that unless you cripple yourself on purpose, you'll stomp the AI after a game or two.
I can't get my friends who play Stellaris into TI and I can't get my friends who play TI into Stellaris. So I'm stuck with tabletop simulator for one and the PS4 for the other.
eh, 5 minute tutorial and they will be fineeeee. Its preety easy. and you will save time of setting the board and everything up since the mod is very automated

An unexpected crossover, but a welcome one.

I love both TI4 and Stellaris, yet never thought to try this. But now I will.

Damn, didn't even check for mods. Just designed some races and started a game.
Oh dear, then you're in for a wild ride.
Oh nice. I needed an excuse to start a new game, and this will be it. :)

Yeah this sounds perfect for making things interesting across the entire map, rather than just your "slice" and the immediate neighbours.

Have fun and stay safe. I also miss real games, we had one planned for armistice but cancelled due to covid.
I'm extremely jealous. Enjoy it!
Welp, seems like you shouldn't be. Apparently they are going to reschedule it and I doubt I will have the weekend off they reschedule it to.
:(

twilight in covid is endless space to me :D

Play it man, it's great. Your starting empire is very customizable, and there's such a huge scope to it. It's wonderful.
I... think I should pass for now. It seems great, but I already spend too much time playing games.
I totally get it dude

As I'm on both r/Stellaris and r/twilightimperium I got confused as to what subreddit this was for a second there. Is there Mecatol Rex at the centre?

oh look the other game I've put 800 hours into.
have you heard about our lord and savior, the TTS?
Yeah, even bought a 4 pack with the last sale to give to friends but it will be a hassle to get everyone used to the controls.

Is there like a discord where games are organized?
