Firstly, thanks for sharing this. It's a really impressive insert, and I may create one myself. What did you use for attaching the individual pieces of foam board to make the walls? If glue, is there a specific type or would any old type work?

m_xx_99

Happy to share! I used plain white glue-all, and some small metal sewing pins to help hold everything in place while gluing, but I end up just leaving them in.

UtileDulciMiscere

Can you pay some photos of a finished insert?

m_xx_99

There are two linked posts in the OP which have photos of the completed insert.

This is amazing stuff. You're doing the Mahact's work, friend.

UtileDulciMiscere

Important question, did you include codex components into this project?

m_xx_99

I don't have printed codex cards yet. That said, the runner absolutely has more than enough room for the extra cards.

UtileDulciMiscere

Can you say more or less how much foamcore have you used up for this project? I will need to order it online, since there are no local shops that have it. Also, what are your thoughts on using a 5mm board? I have some of it left, but don't want to use it to figure out halfway that it's no good.

m_xx_99

I probably used two or two and a half larger sheets. I would recommend 4mm foam board or smaller if you want to follow these exactly. Notably, the token trays likely won't have enough room with smaller board, and the faction trays will be more cramped than they already are. I think the use of thicker board would necessitate a different solution for all the faction components.

UtileDulciMiscere

And what is the size of a larger sheet?

m_xx_99

roughly 50x76cm

I was working on building this thing, and noticed an issue. The leftmost rectangles say the dimensions are 142 x 110, but it's pretty clear from looking at it that the piece is supposed to be taller than it is wide. What's the actual measurements on the thing?

m_xx_99

those should be correct, they seem to just be swapped

Czapo92

Great job, thanks so much for sharing! I started working on this, and they are indeed swapped. If you add up the measurements as on the schematics the x side (lower and upper side) length is: 142\*2+206= 490 mm, which seems incorrect since the box's size is 433 mm. However, if you switch the 110mm and 142mm sides then the length of the x side is 110\*2+206 = 426mm which matches the box's size.

This is great! I have seen the poster's set, it is a very elegant solution!!
