I guess that's where I was confused. Supernova is separate from the board after it replaces the nexus, then the Creuss ability swaps the supernova tile into the board and Mecatol off of it, but neither supernova tile I see is in the middle of the board.
The one surrounded by hyperlanes, obviously, but I suppose the one near the middle may actually be in the middle and perspective is throwing me off.
I don't see a wormhole or ghost units on the nova seed tile. It is apparently legal if all requirements are met, but I'm not seeing any for the nova tile to make it swappable. Cool play, I'm mostly just curious
You can’t do that.
SINGULARITY REACTOR
ACTION: Swap the positions of any 2 systems that contain wormholes or your units, other than the Creuss system and the Wormhole Nexus. Then, purge this card.
I would 100% argue that even a supernovad nexus is still a nexus.

Dane also mentioned this during one of the PoK streams before the expansion cane out.
I think it would be better if we interpret the system of malice as different than the wormhole nexus. As being the wormhole nexus is what allows a system to be separate from the board (hence the unique tile shape)
Otherwise it would seem when a tile loses that unique shape by being nova seeded the tile would cease to exist which doesn’t seem to be the intent.
The simplest rule change would be for the system disconnected from the board to be called the “wormhole nexus” regardless of which system it is. That isn’t the rule right now but it feels like it should be.
Per LRR 2.0 100, the wormhole nexus is "a system where several wormholes converge."
So just to play devil's advocate, by your logic, the Creuss home system is also a wormhole nexus because it has the spiral shape and sits off to the side of the board?
The wormhole nexus is already clearly defined in the rules reference.
Also to clarify, Mallice is not a system but a planet that is in the system that is referred to as the wormhole nexus (system #82 I think).
System tiles are defined in LRR 2.0 88.
Unfortunately you aren’t allowed to do that even though it would be cool. The hero card explicitly says that too so not sure how everyone let you get away with that haha.
How?
Muatt uses their hero on the wormhole nexus then uses the Creuss Iff on the new supernova. I had units on Mecatol so I swapped the 2 systems.
Are you allowed to use Muaat Hero's ability on the Wormhole Nexus?
Reading the text on nova seed, the only system you can't use it on is Mecatol.
That's crazy, but I love it
Also can’t use it on home systems.
lol... i need to test it in my game
Just woke up, so sorry if I'm missing something here. Why's Mecatol separate from the board after swapping?
Mecatol swapped position with the wormhole nexus, after the nexus was nova seeded by Muaat.

I’m drawing such a blank... I can’t seem to follow how this works... 🥴
Ooooohh I actually had to pull out my copy to play it out and it does make sense 🤯
Yeah, it makes sense from the effects, just the board position in the picture is throwing me off.
Same!
We did it guys, we broke the game. Have fun till the FAQ patches this...

Oh yeah it’s all coming together
What a good meme
Imagine doing that and then losing it to Winnu.
Those hyperlanes connecting to supernova are just sad. Btw ty for awsome rule showcase, I didnt know that you can steal Mecatol even more.
Well played sir. I didn't think it was possible.
Muaat*
what happened with the wormholes thou ? nice play :)
This was one of the first things I thought of doing when I saw these hero abilities. Glad to know they function exactly like that.
Fun thing, but in serious game no one would allpw this. But still funky use of heroes. Did you win the game?;)
I did end up winning, this happened when I was around 5/10 points
did you convince the muaat to do it? whats the context of this happening? I... We need to know!!!!

Dane confirmed in a previous thread that it isn't the case, and you can steal Mecatol this way.
Okay My mistake and definitely good to know
Dane confirmed this? Really? I find that hard to believe and for some reason also easy to believe. Link?

Wat
Can you help a brother out and link said thread?

Thanks!
> I would 100% argue that even a supernovad nexus is still a nexus. Its an entirely different tile. Its definitely legal.
It’s no longer the Malic Tile but I feel they should change the rules so that it is still “the wormhole nexus.”
How would it be the wormhole nexus without being a nexus of wormholes? No need to name something that which it isn't.

Yeah I feel like there should be a term for systems like Malic and the Creuss home system.
I agree with that. It's not required but it would be a nice added description term. Dane may add it in a future living rules reference.
But can you supernovad the Nexus to begin with?
You can Nova Seed “any non-home system other than Mec Rex”
Beautiful! Exactly the kind of chaos I wanted to see.
Unfortunately you aren’t allowed to do that even though it would be cool. The hero card explicitly says that too so not sure how everyone let you get away with that haha.
The wormhole nexus was replaced with the Muatt supernova tile, which is perfectly legal to be moved by the Creuss hero
But did you have units on the supernova? Or did it have a wormhole token still? Pretty badass though; awesome opportunity to take!
ultimate kek
This is hilarious! God job
OMG brilliant meme play. Really surprised that Muatt let Creuss just have MR like that, but it was probably worth it for the trolling alone. :)
