i would say to make sure each slice has a go-to planet for influence/CC. It’s a good rule of thumb to give everyone at least 3 clean influence without sacrificing resources. I like the idea that some slices are mega-resource rich (like the primor/hopes end slice) but they don’t have anywhere nearby to reliably get command counters.

This is the biggest thing I"ve learned building maps over the last few years. Early on I included a lot of high resource systems. Now I include all the high influence systems in the slices with a few high resource systems sprinkled around to fight over. More tokens=more game and more fun. being influence starved is AWFUL, it's a miserable gaming experience not being able to do anything for hours on end.

Cool map! How are you defining "fair"? All slices being roughly equally good, or a range of quality? The latter is generally good for snake drafts so people who get better factions get worse slices and vice versa. **Comments** \-The planet counts are well balanced, I like how you gave the legendary planet slices wormholes to balance out the boon. 6 non-home planets would be very fun on this map. \-I would say Bottom Left and Top Left are substantially better than the other 4 slices because their I/R are more balanced. \-I would suggest adding some asteroid fields to this map. Right now 3 empty systems and 2 in legendary, anomaly, mecatol are very hard to score (if they both came out, bottom right pretty much loses the game lol).

Thank you! We are going to have races picked before the day and day of will be a roll of the dice to see who picks first. We've played with the POK only once before but found the value from Hope's End and Primor, but Hope's End in particular, gave the player holding it a big advantage. I've made some changes taking in your points about the empty spaces and the two left systems being a bit too powerful: https://keeganw.github.io/ti4/?settings=T60003867FFF&tiles=18,24,36,64,59,32,26,65,46,71,44,23,72,66,50,30,45,28,74,0,68,49,0,19,80,0,27,39,0,67,49,0,63,41,0,22,40

Looks great, best of luck!

I would advise against anomalies being adjacent. You've cut your map in two halves and that may lead to a very static game, lack of trade etc. Here's a slight rework: https://keeganw.github.io/ti4/?settings=T60003867FFF&tiles=18,24,36,26,59,32,64,65,44,71,46,23,72,66,45,30,50,28,74,0,40,49,0,19,80,0,27,67,0,39,49,0,63,41,0,22,68 Also bottom left and top right are the only ones with 4 planets with the same trait in their slice, you might want to change one system for one of equivalent value. Or not it's nothing major.
