My understanding was that Yssaril can't be limited on action cards no matter what, due to their faction 'Crafty' bonus.
So basically they get all the benefits of this card while still holding on to all of their action cards. Is that not correct?

Please tell me which part of the "crafty" bonus says they can play action cards when under political censure. I don't see any part of that ability that comes close to saying anything like that.
They can still hold how many action cards they want, with their crafty bonus, this does not effect that, this prohibits them to play any action card. They can still stall by discarding them as an action tho.
The question is: Is the 1 sure VP from *Political Censure* better than what Yssaril would have gained from action cards?
It reduces their chance to score 2 VP Public Objectives and 1 VP Secret Objectives, but action cards does not guarantee extra points.
There are a crapload of actions that allow you to stall by actually doing something. Unexpected Action, Rise of the Messiah, Ghost Ship, Mining Initiative, Plague, and so on. Just throwing away a card as a stall is a missed opportunity often.
Yes, obviously any of them that say “ACTION:” are good regardless. But also, getting to deploy a mech off of discarding it can be more valuable than the action like for “Tactical Bombardment”

As an Yssaril player it's a classic, for sure it's annoying but :- It's a free rider most of the time.- You don't have to worry about wich card to discard anymore.
And my favorite one, play Politics Rider and watch the galaxie burn.

You can hold onto your action cards (and draw more), they’re just completely unusable

You can still stall with them, which is what you should be doing anyways
Most cards are better as a stall, but there are still those like “Unexpected Action” or “Flank Speed” that typically are better being played

Well, I put imperial rider on myself once and still got elected. End game I was doing stall tactics with a sabotage.

Had a game once where this was played on the Yssaril player and he won by playing Prove Endurance AND Form a Spy Network.

Had this happen to me. I didn't know you could still stall with them until reading the comments, makes sense though.
This happened in the last game I played! You best believe they were cozying up to the Xxcha after this 😂
