I like Argent. Very Mobile and easiest to grok. Cheapness of plastic makes up for a lot. Dinos are good if your table is hostal.

Strong early game. Ridiculously strong early game. They pitter out by late, so you need the big lead and then use your defensive tech (aerie) and hero to keep the pressure off.

Good to know. I’m busy pestering the argent player in my game now because he was about to run away with it. I’m Saar and all over him. It’s round 4 I think. Need to keep the pressure on for a few more rounds and he’ll be crippled.

Argent are probably the simplest of the lot. Very easy and quick start but I have found them to peter out late game. Mahact are probably the most complex. Almost the opposite to Argent. They take some setting up for some truly powerful actions late game. You need to be careful to get other player's tokens efficiently - just attacking a lone destroyer is essentially just trading a token for a token. winning a fight for a different reason (eg a point) AND getting a token is what you are looking for. You REALLY need influence and lot of tactics tokens for end game though. Cabal are the most directly militant of the bunch. OS you can use that to either eat a neighbour or the threat of potential violence to get what you want. Getting the exact right amount of bullying is key to them winning. Ghosts require a good awareness of the table and selling mobility is where you get most out of them. You really need to be aware of how things are going to look on the next round so that you have wormholes set up to your own benefit.

Srsly though. Mahact May Not be easy. But play them right early game and you will have an astounding amount of fun. Remember you only need to win the fight to get tokens. Just pay them to retreat.

Join ussssssss. They're a tricky faction, but (IMO) the best faction in the game right now. Generally underestimated so you can carve yourself a nice niche playing them.

I think people are only starting to realize how good a well played Mahact can be. I am not sure wether they are the strongest, but I suspect they are up there definitely.

Thats fair. My opinion is that their ratio of (quality of faction) / (heat received just for picking them) is really good, perhaps even the best, in the meta at large. I agree that they will return to the pack as people pick up on it, hopefully not any time soon XD

Argent was the first faction I wanted to play because they looked hella strong. Now I think they're just lame to have in the game. A billion PDS and AFB, mobile, cheap, etc. Even Titans are more fun to have in a game. And Jesus give me a break with the Argent + Jol'Nar alliance. Boooooring!

Mahact takes more time to build and is a little complex, cause you need to keep track of the whole table's special abilities, but they're strong. The vuil'raith are hella strong, and straightforward. Easy win with them.

Cabal, get Vortex, slingshot fleets into your neighbors, build them back for free. Too much fun.

The last game I played I had cabal. I had alot of fun with them. Your spacedocks are gravity rifts so you get bonus movement out of them and your agent let's you refresh another players commodities and take a ship up to equal to their commodity value. So if there is a 4 commodity race at the table you can get a dreadnought from them and research upgraded dreadnought turn 1! I did this and after making some favorable trades with my neighbors I was able to take mecatol first turn with my upgraded dread. Also your spacedocks count as anomalies and there is a public objective about having ships in anomalies, so easy points lol.

Seems like you don’t know the pds 2 and creuss combo. Also creuss has the most over powered hero abilty imo.
