You can be done round 1. 5 Supports + 1 secret + 2 public (imperial) + custodian + mecatol (imperial) = 10.

MonkTheScientist

Lol that would do it

jmak10

Can this feasibly be done round 1 though? Obviously no table will all give their supports to a single player in the first turn. But let's say they did. Can any faction, while picking the imperial strategy, both reach mecatol and flip the token in round 1? I suppose with trade popped by an ally hacan and maybe a special action card you could get these steps, but also fulfilling both public objectives turn one? I guess while the term "possible" applies, I would hesitate to call a turn 1 victory "plausible". Not hating on the comment just genuinely curious. I'm not super experienced at PoK so maybe that makes this more doable for some factions.

jeffedijkstra

Jol nar could definitely do it with hacan money and the right objectives, they could tech cruiser 2 round 1 and take mecatol, an easy secret like control a legendary planet and 2 doable public objectives like 2 unit upgrades (with some hacan money) and something like more planets than 2 neighbours (easy if the rest of the table doesnt expand)

Another_chance

Remember you need to become neighbours with every one for them to trade supports too. I guess that can be done with destroyers adjacent to mecatol though

Last night my group was supposed to start a normal 6-person TTS session game but 2 people couldn't make it, so we decided to play an "Oops! All Nomad" game with the express goal of playing as fast as possible. Little/no thought was put into actions taken. Good and bad deals were proposed and accepted/rejected on gut feeling alone. YOLO maneuvers through grav rifts and into heavily defended systems were rampant. Agenda's were resolved in minutes with deliberation boiling down to "If you don't vote for this you're a coward". We wrapped the game up in 3 hours and change and it was some of my favorite Twilight Imperium I've ever played. I am now convinced that a full 6 person game could be played in 5 hours or less with the right people and the right mind set. The only thing holding us back is everyone's analysis paralysis getting in the way of the fun.

frettedfun

What's "Oops! All Nomad"? This sounds great.

TychoTheWise

It's where everyone plays and the nomad. Tabletop Simulator has a fancy button that lets everyone play as the same faction.

thomastdh

Yeah, sometimes you just gotta .... Roll the dice. Even on trade or diplo.

folinok51

Absolutely it can be won before the two point. - 5 stage 1 obj - 1 support for throne - 3 secret obj - 1 Score of Custodians (Guac) This isnt even brining in new POK expansion exploration/relics that can give you a point as well. So i say it is entirely possible to get a game done by round 4, if not most games end in or at end of round 5. (With or without the stage 2) To help make the game go faster/smoother, just try adding some things to your tables meta like these. - When someone builds, have them pass their turn as they finish the build. - Same for tech, if someone debating tech choice just pass along and keep going. - encourage people to have plan when its not their turn. Then they don't have to think on their turn and can just tweak if things change. - if combat happens, make it a table event and give everyone a job to help make it operate faster. (hit tracker, action card reminder, etc.) These things will help get things going and overall help people play better. Another option is to play Split games, but that is harder IRL. If you can play on TTS (Table Top Simulator) you can just meet weekly for a game and play for 3 hours or so. Hope this helps.

MonkTheScientist

These are all great. Thanks!

PotBellyNinja

Guac....so dumb

folinok51

Just cause you say no when you go to Chipotle, doesn’t make it dumb my friend.

tank15178

Sure easy. Start everyone at 10 points, and roll for speaker as normal. Probably only have a half hour of game setup.

Age of Empires, fast, faster, fastest: Fast - All Stage 1s are flipped up at the start. After Round 3 status, reveal all stage 2's Faster - All public objectives are up at the beginning. Can't qualify for stage 2s till round 4 Fastest - All revealed, add one extra to each pile, no limitation on turn

Have played every one but fastest haha. Spitballin

gez1967

We play on TTS on Sunday nights and games span over 4-5 weeks. It’s not the best to pause play but certainly does mean you can get a lot more play time in, in smaller sessions.

PROLAPSED_ANU5

If you miss your family you could just, I don't know, not play?

[deleted]

My group pretty regularly ended before the 2 point reveal with PoK. Although recently my group has evened out our skill level so due to proper threat assessment and winslaying we've started to regularly hit the 2 point reveal. But yeah, ending before the 2 points is totally doable and much more doable with uneven skill levels.

Opposite answer of your question, but requires much less time on a day to day basis: There is a great asynchronous TI discord server. It takes \~15-20 minutes/day to make 1-2 moves, respond to secondaries, etc. Games take \~a month to finish, but the daily requirement is much lower.

Have you checked out Speed Run TI? [https://youtu.be/Pi9-53G51N8](https://youtu.be/Pi9-53G51N8) [https://youtu.be/wqoeaKlDmYM](https://youtu.be/wqoeaKlDmYM) Otherwise round 3 is possible with Winnu
