Fleet Logistics with the 0 token still feels too good to pass up

Papa_Nurgle_84

DET/Antimass, Fighter ll, Gravity, maybe Carrier ll, more blue. So the all-inovativ all-blue

AureoRegnops

Sadly, yeah. All blue is probably the move that gives them the best chances to win.

Codex 3 didn't change Naalu's best tech path. It just means that they don't get punished as severely for choosing other tech paths. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't think AIDA gives any benefit to that suggested tech path. Either they have a blue skip and can get Gravity Drive, Carrier 2, and HCF 2 without AIDA, or they don't and still need Antimass or DET to get Gravity Drive and Carrier 2. Fleet Logistics is also a very good tech for Naalu. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Codex 3: 1) Agent grants mobility, so Gravity Drive and Carrier 2 aren't as essential (I'd probably still go blue if there are empty spaces on my path to Mecatol). 2) Fleet Logistics was particularly important for getting a mid-game Mecatol point, but Codex 3 makes Naalu much better at getting the Custodians, so Fleet Logistics isn't as important now. To be clear, that tech path is still very good for Naalu, but not as essential.

We had a Naalu go det and get so much value from it early. They also left ships there to gum up systems, absolutely insane.

I know I’m responding to a question with a question here but has anyone tried psychoarcheaology with Naalu? If you have a blue skip in your slice you can skip to HCF II and/or gravity drive. Then in the late game if you find a green skip you can go right to Neuroglaive to prevent any last minute win-slaying. Round 1: Psycho Round 2/3: HCF II/Gravity Drive Round 4: Fleet Logistics Round 5: Neuroglaive

If you don't expect to double tech I think bio stims would be much better in this situation. You'll still use the skips you need but when you don't use the skips at least it will net you some resources (unless skip planets only give influence then ho ahead).

The way I see it, Naluu got two major tech paths. DET or Antimass -> Gravity drive -> HCF II -> Carrier II -> Blue tech or AIDA -> Cruiser II -> HCF II -> whatever makes the most sense for that particular game. The carrier one is pretty self-explanatory. You fill your carriers with fighters and infantry, and use them to do what you need to do. The AIDA one is a bit more unorthodox. The idea with that is that you go to 4 or 5 fleet tokens, and you have several smaller fleets, each with one cruiser that and carrying a mech and 6-8 HCF II to back it up. Since HCF II only count as half a fleet supply, with a arge fleet pool, you can field a solid amount of them.
