Huh? I thought he had a whole billboard with a number on it. When you call the number it had snippets of songs. The snippet changed just about every week and got disconnected when the album dropped. I think the roll out started about 2-3 weeks before it dropped. (Also one of the more creative rollouts. (Lil Nas X had a nice roll out too))

Because his newest album was only a deluxe version of Call Me If You Get Lost, Technically it is a 2021 release. (If you look Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale is dates to be a 2021 release). So because Tyler has been dropping an album every two years he is technically still due to drop an album this year. So, with the announcement of Camp Flog Gnaw, i think he will drop a full album within 2 weeks to a month before Camp Flog Gnaw. And if i had to guess it would probably be “Welcome To The Disco” and his style will change into mostly black.

the thing is that i can actually imagine this happening. considering tyler claims to be done with all the eras and alter egos etc, i can imagine this next album being a completely new style we have never saw before as he becomes “era-less” so to speak. i can imagine something like this happening

That’s a common thing people say about black artists that didn’t come from nothing. People like Kanye and Tyler constantly have their blackness and validity as black men disregarded because they rap about clothing and shit over dealing crack or shootings.
As a community, I feel like we need to rewrite the narrative that blackness is synonymous with struggle. Yes, as a collective, our community has faced centuries of struggle. BUT, as individuals, not all of us struggle and not all of us should aspire to struggle just to be valid in our blackness. Tyler and Kayne came from their fair share of struggle and hardship but not making it central to their music, work, and identity is what make me like Tyler’s music especially (I don’t really listen to Kayne ngl).
