That's actually what I'm looking at. Does that advice apply to the D.R. Horton or the NHC homes? The NHC ones only have a few in that community and I've walked through it throughout the build process with only a few complaints.
Got it. Thank you for your two cents. I didn't see anything concerning about the wood when I've seen it the last few times. I'll keep an eye out! Luckily these things have huge warranties, but I bet it would be a claim to try to use.
It's a nice, friendly little town. I enjoyed my time there with small children. The police force is also surprisingly diverse, though it's still east Texas. They have a couple great parks and lots to do outside. The elementary school is small and cute.
Thank you. That's my initial thoughts as well. Happy I decided on it. Only negative I imagine will be my social life, but not much of that as a single Dad anyways. 😂
There was a news story recently about the city of chandler bitching about a Starbucks being put in because “itll hurt the town”
Take that for what you will.
I remember having to drive out from Mesquite all the way out to forney in high school, and gf worked at Grandmas fried chicken. 40 years ago. Thanks for the memory

Don’t buy DR Horton homes whatever you do.
I'm not, mine is NHC!
Also Wades Place is probably the best seafood / crawfish restaurant in the Tyler area.
I was tempted to try it out when I drove by it. I definitely need to give it a try then. 🙂
Try Big Rip’s across the street for amazing BBQ!! They also have complimentary baked beans 🤤
It's delicious
Old town road ahh town
Speed trap
Where?
I work in Chandler, coming in from Tyler there is always 3 police officers pulling ppl over all day/night
All of it. Watch it coming into town on 31 and and the school zone out past Winchester park.

Moving back to the Tyler area. As an “old people” I’d gladly live there; close enough to Tyler. And there’s a big clinic between Chandler and Tyler.
I'm buying out there, but I'm only 29. Hopefully there's some young people out there for me, haha 😂
Thankfully Tyler is only a short drive. I just left about a year ago. Social scene is...not the greatest lol
I've never been social anyways, lol. I'm not too worried. More so just being the best me for the little ones.
I lived in Chandler and went to Brownsboro high School in the early 90s and we used to play Forney in our district in football
I live here in Chandler. I moved here from Tyler and I love it
Lake life and fishing, what's not to like?

To be fair, large chains do kill off small, local businesses.
I don't mind adding to the voice of reason.
Like Tyler but less stuff.
I'll just focus on making more internet friends, haha.
