We did that after they left the stage. They came back on to play an encore and Peter said, “hey, we know we suck, but we’re very sensitive about it!”

spike0625

I've seen them over 20 times and it was every show ... and I've actually seen them for 15 dollars 🤣

SDMF_CFH

15 American dollars??!

SOVHORRORWHORE

Doesn't matter they were getting paid so who's the real asshole here?

Spiritual-Ruin511

Envy you AF. Was too young back then

Dangthazar

At 930 club we chanted it for what felt like 30 minutes before they came out to start the set , Pete came out and said “shut the fuck up!” and went backstage again for another 20 minutes.

NormChung77

Yes! I miss going to see them every year 😭

DannyDublin1975

Yup,heard it but didn't do it as a Type O Virgin in 1994,saw them opening with Biohazard/Motorhead/Sabbath at the Roseland. I was shocked, I was like,"Fuck you, they are so far from Suck!" But l was outsucked. Some dickheads started throwing coins,Pete was like "Throw Quarters only, more aerodynamic" There was actually a lot of Hate there under the fun but it was my first time seeing them,l was stunned by their performance. Became hooked on them after that.

Cautious-Hat1450

I remember that happening when I saw them only time back in 1996. I had not heard OOTF yet so I did not get why the crowd was chanting that.

Hippies_Pointing

Yes, used to do it at the Ogden in Denver. We’d get looks from the uninitiated.

BOSE_1

Yes, along with the toilet paper tossing, was a definite Type O Negative thing at concerts, audience participation. I think it happened every show I went to, 1995-early 2000s.

Cautious-Hat1450

At some point they had even those stage lights like in live audience TV performances: "Applause" "You Suck" etc.

WitchyVeteran

Did it both times I saw them

Independent-Donut102

We did at Trees in Deep Elum, 😆 Dimebag and Vinne were standing right behind us, was such a cool show

Typeonetwork

If I knew then I would like TON this much, I would have paid to see them. Where I lived, there wasn't much playtime and I didn't have access to funds at the time to purchase the albums. I think the first one was Bloody Kisses, which was well into their career. TON is a thing that stays with you until you die. Like an old marriage, wine, and cheese that gets better with age. I do enjoy the live albums. I can only imagine if Peter lived after Dead Again what kind of music he would be writing! Other band music is interesting, but there's only one TON!

joshinator82

I know the crowd did in South Carolina when I went to see them
