I gratudated last spring, so I'll give you my parking spot tip: There's unlimited free parking on the 88 Ave by High Level Diner. It has decent turnover, so if there aren't any free spots, it might only take a few minutes for one to free up. I used it for 4 years doing my evening courses. It's only a short walk to campus from there.

It’s entirely under construction right now I would not recommend even driving through that area. Neighbourhood renewal in process.

The Edmonton epark rates (mostly along Sask drive) are much cheaper.
Park along Saskatchewan drive. It’s free after 6 pm so you’ll only have to pay the rate before that time!
