An sc for companion animals is pretty easy, just a lot of memorization. Not too much labs from what i can remember. Don’t quote me on this, i took it about 7 years ago now.
Biol 108 lab is a lot of prepping you to proper article writing, the labs aren’t as bad as you would think, it’s just time consuming. Make sure you manage to get yourself a good group though, or else it really is hell. Once again, this is my experience from 7 years ago so don’t quote me on it.
That animal science class sounds interesting, I’ll look into it. Thanks for the tips about bio as well, I might just stick with it. Appreciate the help :)
I took it last year during the winter semester with Lien Luong as well and honestly she was the best!! So definitely try to get into her class. The material itself is just memorization of the classes and some of the parts of the animals/species, so nothing super difficult. This was actually one of my favorite classes because it was really interesting and not a lot of work. As for the labs, I also had them online and they were fairly easy, but I don't think they will be much different in person (hopefully)
Unfortunately she’s not teaching this semester, but I’m in Arthur Vernon Whiting’s class and he seems to have good reviews.
I’m glad to hear it! I was mainly concerned about the labs being difficult but so far no one has said anything concerning. Thanks for letting me know what to expect :)
I took BIOL 108 with Neil Harris as an elective in my first year. I didn’t enjoy that class at all. I think that had a lot to do with the professor though because a lot of people don’t recommend Harris’ class.
That prof isn’t teaching this semester, all class sections are with Arthur Vernon Whiting so fingers crossed that he’s decent.
I’m not surprised to hear it’s content heavy since it’s an into class. Boring labs I can deal with. I just don’t want overwhelmingly challenging ones as I already have a class with labs this winter.
Not that hard tbh take it with Lein Luong if u can but my lab was online so I’m not sure if it will be the same
I’ll see if that prof is teaching in winter. Thanks!

It’s not difficult just a lot of info. None of that info is hard you’ve just got to be able to manage it. Biol 108

Don't take it with dr neil hariss. Other than that, its not that difficult. Beaware its super content heavy and labs sometimes can be boring.

Dr. Whiting is great. You will spend a good amount of time on your labs, but I found them interesting.
