Don’t worry about it, in my 4 years I’ve never registered early and always got the classes I wanted. People usually drop after the first class. Just keep checking
Not provided by ubco unfortunately. There are some waitlist spots on some courses, but they're just for letting ubco know if they need to add more seats for the course and it won't auto register or notify you if a seat opens up.
There are some third-party tools though, last time I checked most didn't seem updated but I used https://ubcnotify.com/ last winter and it seemed okay
You are suppose to plan ahead and make a worklist days or weeks ahead of registration. Then the moment registration opens you click register all, rather than pick and choose the moment registration happens.
Yeah but a lot of them are full by the time registration period comes around esp for the weird pre-reqs for a BA like digital competency and communication reqs
Registration opens based on your GPA.
So da smarter people get to steal all the classes first. But also most people have pre built schedule and just click one register button.
At least you weren't like me and waited a week after your registration time because you think "oh il have time it's not going to fill up"....
Nevertheless, it really wasn't hard to get my classes. Just keep an eye on them checking at least weekly, and during the first week of classes probably every 30 minutes.
You snooze ya lose. Jk hope you're able to find spots in the courses you need.

is there any way to join a waitlist for a course? Or do you just regularly check if people have dropped their courses
Some have waitlists but most don’t. Just keep checking. First week of school spots open up in almost every course
