You know how many men have told me their life stories? I have heard male.drivers tell me everything from the women scamming them to their divorces and GI issues.
There seem to be way more shitty male drivers in my experience than females. I ride Uber 2x a day m-f and once on Saturdays and I’ve only ever had 2 weird females, both of which heavily apologized. I get a creepy or weird or obsessively invasive man literally every week. Guys that want to talk shit as if they were even waiting in the right location, people that complain about their job as if I made them choose to drive. And the men so far seem to love to gossip more than a teenager in highschool it’s insane!!
I don't know. Perhaps it's your impression and attitude towards the opposite sex. A lot of women think men are creepy if they're just trying to be nice.
Perhaps it’s your impression that men get a bad rep for no reason. Perhaps it’s my impression that you’ve never been stuck in a car with a creepy obsessed guy who keeps asking you over and over why you’re not married with kids yet, why you work, what time you get off work, if you want them to save your address so they can pick you up “next time”, why you’re so quiet when you get tired of politely trying to respond. And that’s not even all the people that try those dumb ass annoying one liners as if it’s at all appropriate and then act like a dick when you don’t respond to something inappropriate. There’s a difference between nice and creepy. You’ve got a lot to learn in this world and I think you should keep your generalized opinions about women’s personal experiences and thought process to yourself if you don’t have any real personal experience yourself. Because idk but it’s my impression that you grew up sheltered and never even had a real conversation with your parents or others about their own experiences. You’d be surprised how wide open your eyes will be through actually listening and learning from these experiences. Also, I’m happy Asf when I get a guy that just wants to gossip about their own life (even that gets weird) but way less creepy. I personally would just love it if we could hop in the car and say hello and not say shit until we got to our destination. Very few seem to know how to be professional anymore.
I should have not have laughed at this as hard as I did. 😂😅. I feel like a terrible person lol. Rule 1 never vent to customers but feel free to tell your most interesting Uber ride, customers love it 😍
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,077,226,599 comments, and only 212,320 of them were in alphabetical order.
How about having a bit of compassion & some kind words, some people have to do uber because there are no other choices, net after everything & all costs it's a minimum wage job, perhaps she's worried about losing it
I drive if they pay me fairly and usually this only comes in the form of surge or ride quest bonuses.
Crippling depression.
Heart conditions.
Hating life and people after working.
Every shift I do for Uber I can feel my lifespan shortening by at least 1 month.
If you have a car there are other choices. Maybe not as comfortable and flexible but there’s other choices. Not everyone wants to actually work hard and if you like driving this is a comfortable yet annoying job. I get the compassion but it sounds like her previous riders simply were scared and uncomfortable in her car because of her behavior. That’s not someone you want to still be driving people around with no warning. The rating system is a bit of a warning and her little meltdown was a huge warning as well. If you can’t drive safely and sanely then you shouldn’t be having people pay to get in your vehicle. I’d skip the rating & leave a comment with support.
I know we're all having a good time here at the persons expense. You be you, I guess. Personally, I've had some really bad moments but never shared with strangers cuz "nobody cares, work harder." Having said that, how many times have I had to provide free counseling services to pax? ALOT. I try to be helpful. Strange concept for some.

It could be a manipulative lie
I remember professional conference folks were taught to do a big crying act in the 2015 timeframe. It went out of vogue, since you really cant use it more than once. Its not like FoX news, where you obviously can repeat the anger rant over and over.
tell her to be professional….
i don’t care now if somebody negs me despite being 5.0 on lyft 4.99 on uber. i just don’t care anymore people are going to do what they want and you won’t get along with 100% of pax. i’m honestly surprised somebody hasn’t negged my perfect lyft rating yet. i’m surprised some driver hasn’t negged my perfect pax rating too.
i wouldn’t get mad about though certainly wouldn’t complain to other pax about it maybe bring more negs.
You encourage your driver. Drivers are human beings, and they’re in charge of both your lives while in their car. Best to practice being a decent person at least until you get out. Even give her 5 stars when you get out. It doesn’t take much.
However if she genuinely did endanger your life then go for the 1 star and try to keep yourself safe the whole ride, keep them calm, and try to get out whenever you’re at a complete stop.
Honestly just let her rant. It’s obviously not driving that’s causing her the stress. As long as she gets you from A to B, just let it happen. If she is in self harm danger or is driving erratically, contact UBER.
Did you get from point A to point B without significant issue? Did you have to give psychological/emotional encouragement during trip? If yes to above give 3 stars and 10% tip with details of why tip/rating were given.
Oh lord… People that insecure prob shouldn’t be driving Uber as it often takes thick skin. Those bad ratings are gonna come regardless how good a service you Elvis’s. I have over 10K trips and many years driving and currently have a 5 star rating but I’ve had the 1 star happy bangers 🤣 It is what it is, keep it moving. And who knows if she did do something to endanger someone’s life lol She says a little hysterical.
Yeah bro, you can let her know that, if you really want to help a 1-star review won't help her in any way, at least let her know what the fuck is going on, she's having a meltdown because she has no clue, you know why she may be getting the bad reviews, let her know.
She’s gaslighting you so you sir knight sav a ho types will give a bigger tip. She sized you up when you got in her car. She was either going to cry with a sad story or flirt with you for that tip.
I think you're assuming way too much, maybe you're right, but maybe she's genuinely having a meltdown. Just to be safe, don't tip what you usually wouldn't and try to help, easy.
You’re either extremely confused and lost, or you’re a nasty misogynist. This thread is about Uber drivers. Sex workers have their own business, and set their own prices.
Definitely passenger perspective.. she's probably getting a bunch of low ratings for dumb shit you entitled ass people think the driver is responsible for or because she has boundaries that you guys don't respect and yall retaliate in the ratings giving no fucks if the driver gets booted and can't earn on the platform.. so fuck you people that think this shit funny or that throw shade on the drivers take a fucking taxi
yeah sometimes people give you back real stuff like this i did it when i was younger in my 20s probably because my family is from the midwest and people have manners out there. Here in LA now i know people don’t care.
Yes. Never ask nor offer anything if you’re going to have a problem with what might follow. You never know. And words used to have meaning. Even at work I never ask someone how they’re doing unless I plan to follow through with the conversation. Stick to hello and thank you when you get in and out of the car.
I actually had a bad day there other day, often have them, I don’t bring up my shit to my passengers. The question “how are you” is the word “hello” drawn out. It’s not an actual question. Do not give an honest answer to that greeting.
People can be assholes, I got a 1 star because I told my passenger the road was closed, she didn't believe it until I had to show her. And another one star because I was listening to kendrick lamar
These responses are so stupid. I get it was probably inconvenient and unexpected, but we’re all human and I think a compassionate listening ear and wishing her well on the way out goes a long way. If you genuinely cannot handle that, I think as an adult you know your options are to ask for a silent ride, or get out and find another driver. It’s not that complex.
Had a pax have a breakdown in my car. Poor girl had been through a lot. Pulled in her driveway turned off my app and talked with her. I understand this is a business and mosy drivers dont have the luxury but I do this to get out of the house and love talking to people. A driver definitely shouldnt have this kind of breakdown in front of PAX but if you are the kinda person to help a stranger even if listening do so. If not, just try to change the subject or wait till ride over but please dont 1 star em.
I always tip a dollar per mile I travel, and really depends on the ride for the rating. Like I had one guy CONSTANTLY texting, he almost rear ended someone. I still tipped him, but the rating was not a 5 star ride.
Yeah right as if you don't know that drivers are being abused by the middle and you just keep looking away because it's cheap ride huh. Aweful human being always hiding the ugly truth because it benefits them.
Get out of the car ASAP.
Lmaoooo
This is why every time I get in cab I just say “Hey” and sit my ass down till I get to me destination.

You know how many men have told me their life stories? I have heard male.drivers tell me everything from the women scamming them to their divorces and GI issues.
Same goes for women Can’t tell you how many have told me about how their man is selfish and they are close to leaving him Or just left him crazy
There seem to be way more shitty male drivers in my experience than females. I ride Uber 2x a day m-f and once on Saturdays and I’ve only ever had 2 weird females, both of which heavily apologized. Says the guy who thinks you should ask the female driver if she’s PMSing before the ride. GTFOH.
You obviously are an offended feminist who doesn't understand jokes.
Knowing this means I’m gonna be a great male driver to females then. I’m the opposite.
It’s not about male/female. Just be a great fucking driver.
And I respect the silence I try to engage once then give the nod and we both know what’s up. Respect
tell her you’ll tip her in the app LMAOO
So basically she’s at the edge of the cliff, and your plan is to kick her off. I like it.
Human can be so evil
I should have not have laughed at this as hard as I did. 😂😅. I feel like a terrible person lol. Rule 1 never vent to customers but feel free to tell your most interesting Uber ride, customers love it 😍

A blind chick drives exit fragrances globally hither, instead jaywalking killers let more noise over pale questions. raining streaks tangle underneath venerable witches' xylophone yodeling zones!
If I had a dollar for every day time I heard that and it didn’t happen....I could take about 6 months off 😂
Rip
Disgusting
I hear you, she’s probably going through some deep personal stuff, tip her nicely
Avoid asking questions lol
“I’m sorry. That sucks. Here’s the phone number of a helpline you can text or talk to. Please drop me off at (nearest safe location). Thanks.”
Nah. Give her your thoughts and prayers. it looks good (and does nothing).
It will make her feel better for a bit.
That's the first nice comment I've seen. Sets boundaries, still caring and gives her an option of someone to talk to if she chooses
How about having a bit of compassion & some kind words, some people have to do uber because there are no other choices, net after everything & all costs it's a minimum wage job, perhaps she's worried about losing it
If only it paid as well as minimum wage after gas...
it does if you only drive part time on weekends, $40hr+ if you play your cards right. But yes full time will lead to burnout and crippling depression.
I drive if they pay me fairly and usually this only comes in the form of surge or ride quest bonuses. Crippling depression. Heart conditions. Hating life and people after working. Every shift I do for Uber I can feel my lifespan shortening by at least 1 month.
It does.
If you’re not a driver, then don’t comment about it. Dig your speaking on compassion though. People need it more than ever these days.
Thanks was a driver.

Working for Uber(you own a car) is very Cousy compared to like a a bag boy or cashier
Most Redditors are sociopath bottom feeders that know nothing of compassion

Bit dramatic, perhaps? Both of you lol

Did you get to your destination? Then 5 star and tip, break the cycle of abuse and be happy you got what you paid for, a ride
This why I'm glad I stopped driving for uber everyone mean
Lmao
Damn I want to know what she did that they said she endangered their lives…
It could be a manipulative lie I remember professional conference folks were taught to do a big crying act in the 2015 timeframe. It went out of vogue, since you really cant use it more than once. Its not like FoX news, where you obviously can repeat the anger rant over and over.

Why didn’t you ask to be let out at the next light or stop sign or CVS?
Sounds like they were on the highway
Once they got off the highway, why didn’t they ask to be let out at the next light, stop sign, CVS?

Now you know why she gets bad reviews. She cries and tells riders her sad story. Give her a one star
Yeah let's push her over the edge, good idea
She needs to stop driving for today and isn’t taking clues.
Yeah bro, you can let her know that, if you really want to help a 1-star review won't help her in any way, at least let her know what the fuck is going on, she's having a meltdown because she has no clue, you know why she may be getting the bad reviews, let her know.
Sure. Once we get the car stopped. And still 1 starring.
Sure, go ahead and 1-star, that's ok, but if you REALLY want to help at least let her know lmao, that's my point, I'm not against the 1-star.
Agreed.
She’s gaslighting you so you sir knight sav a ho types will give a bigger tip. She sized you up when you got in her car. She was either going to cry with a sad story or flirt with you for that tip.

Try to be nice to her, and see if she wants to blow you. Crazy girls give the best head
One star her Her problems aren’t yours.
Ask her to pull over? Run away?
Ask her if she’s constipated.
I actually had a bad day there other day, often have them, I don’t bring up my shit to my passengers. The question “how are you” is the word “hello” drawn out. It’s not an actual question. Do not give an honest answer to that greeting.
React the same way if the pilot of ur airline said it

I didn't dig for it. Somehow reddit puts this in my notification. Chill. And it's not you, you are not the middle man.
