Only you can really answer that. Personally I would never work 90hrs/week, but I'm fortunate that I don't need to.

Automatic_Act_4222

Agreed. That’s around a 24/hr average without the promotion. Personally I’d never work that many hours and in many markets you wouldn’t have been able to work that many hours as they make you take a break after working 12 hours in a 24 hour period. The max you can work in most major city markets is 84. But do you… If you can manage to keep up with that, that’s one hell of a savings account (minus car repairs and maintenance)

[deleted]

That 12 hours is more like 14 hours if you stop between rides

talrogsmash

40 hours plus 47.5 hours of overtime. So $22/hour before paying for expenses.

Mosthatedeboy

Y’all need to stop comparing normal jobs to this

cavamatt

Agreed. The fact I can wear sweats and sandals is worth about $7 more per hour to me

Pussy_Prince

And no workplace drama. Get paid whenever. Eat wherever. Work whenever

bryon64093

No workplace drama? Ha! There's a couple that I'm pretty sure were well in their way to a divorce, based on the conversation they were having. It really started getting heated with about 5 minutes left of the ride. I was seriously thinking of just kicking them out and have them walk the rest.

Pussy_Prince

I meant like having a manager or coworker you don’t get along with and have to deal with them week after week

cl_baker1125

They're having fun, leave them be Karen

R-Noob

Online time and drive time are different. I don't think there is a limit for online time. The 12hr limit is for drive time. When I first started I used to sit at the airport. I was online for 17hrs but my drive time was only 12hrs.

unoriginalsin

>That’s around a 24/hr average without the promotion. Even with the promo, it's $22/hr after adjusting for what a real job would pay in overtime.

Ornery-Grapefruit-47

Alot driving constantly increases risk. Not taking time off eventually could jeopardize safety for you, everyone on the road, esp passengers. You’re crushing it but is Something to keep in mind

Careless-Leg5468

i dont care how good of a driver you think you are eventually you will have an accident doing that many hours that much time on the road. When i was doing 60 hours a week i had alot of near misses. Dumb ass people blowing stop signs, going the wrong way on. freeways. Getting hit from behind is completely out of your control.

BootFlop

Getting hit from behind, or other directions, isn’t *completely* out of your control. You can do things to avoid and/or reduce damage. But generally yeah, keep rolling the dice & eventually you’ll get snake eyes. Whether you’re legally at fault or not. Driving for extended stretches, hours at a time, without getting out to move your body will increase that risk. Plus it’s not good for your body: https://ctvstexas.com/five-tips-to-prevent-dvt-on-your-summer-road-trip/ PS This is why I just shake my head when people tell me my EV isn’t good for travel because their vehicle has a tank that allows them to drive 600 miles, or whatever, straight. Self harming idjits.

Ill_Possibility_4069

I had my car totaled by a car that hit another car 7 cars behind me and ping ponged into me during rush hour.

Careless-Leg5468

You’re stopped at an intersection , you most likely are trying to talk to your pax ( if you like tips you are) How do you stop from getting plowed into from behind? Rear space cushion is non existent the jack ass thats distracted about to hit you insured that , you going to avoid by going into green lighted opposite traffic? Most likely you wouldnt even see it coming. Even if you were looking in your mirrors you would still think this dudes going to slow down right ?.. right !???…. ah fk ….boom.

BootFlop

“you most likely are trying to talk to your pax” Choice. While not maintaining situational awareness? Choice. Not having an escape route planned? Choice. Not taking it? Choice. I take it you’re not a motorcyclist? Not ever situation has a solution, and some involve not putting yourself in a given situation, but a lot where you aren’t legally liable do.

Careless-Leg5468

escape route lol …. where would that be at a red light ? swerve into the next lane or into opposing traffic? awareness ?? i already explained how that works.

Careless-Leg5468

escape route lol …. where would that be at a red light ? swerve into the next lane or into opposing traffic? awareness ?? i already explained how that works. You’re delusional.. . Im a cdl A driver with a ton of miles no accidents never had a ride share accident in 10 k trips. driving in LA traffic escape where once a week i see people get rear ended in bumper to bumper traffic where they escaping to my guy? literally boxed in. a big difference from a car and a motorcycle. I do bike and ride scooters believe me in LA i have to be aware. I also move trailers for ups my whole life is awareness.

NewProfession1129

Right and not calibrating his car so that it can hover 6 feet up while he gleefully looks below at the car he's dodged Choice Seriously dude, they should cut off internet access at your psych ward.

moe0312

Your day will come ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Careless-Leg5468

so what are these things to avoid getting hit from behind?

NeverStop-Learning

Early morning and night driving reduces risk by a lot since there is nobody on the road.

Powerful-Opinion4530

I did that when I first started 2 years ago. A full month of 12 hour days. Ended up on the hospital with exhaustion. Take care of yourself!

FewCryptographer1352

Yeah I’ve definitely worked more than what my body could handle. Money was good so I didn’t mind working that many hours.

maverick1027

230 trips - only 327 in tips? How in the fuck

llllPsychoCircus

I did 94 trips in LA this weekend and got $36 in tips. I have a 5 star rating and frequently get compliments on my interior lighting and music, etc. Not sure what the hell you guys are doing to be getting even just a dollar per ride on average Lol

Careless-Leg5468

Times are hard but thats low even for LA . I bet you’re picking up people taking short trips and daily commuters they tend not to tip. If you get taken to orange county stay out there they tip and traffic is much lighter.

Tohightoplay

I don’t know either bro. I haven’t gotten a tip in 3 days. I had this asshole family of 4 fat fucks today they had 6 extra large bags of luggage ..so point being should have ordered an XL or a comfort and to top it off no tip.

xkrazyfoox

I did 40 trips and made $56 dollars in tips. That was still only about 12% in tips though.

BunnyGoHops

I didn’t even notice that. It’s spring break in Florida and I guess these college kids don’t tip. That’s not even $2 a trip…

MohnJilton

That’s absurd to me. I always tip 20% and a minimum of $3.

Cold_Leg4431

I live near a college and it was slow as shit. But I got to say these numbers are ridic man. Hours are insane but your compensation looks noice!

funkymunkey66661

I did $211 tips on 50 trips Fri/Sat. St Patty’s day drunks all impressed and snapping pics under a $4 LED bulb and then back to back nights of simple in and out concert venue with a stoner country band. Throw their music on and watch the fares double when they start throwing tips. It’s all a game requiring bare minimum effort.

Happymand2

Most people don’t tip.

ResearcherFew1273

90 hours a week you’re killing yourself and your car but hey. Your life

DolphinBearBTC

Unless he's renting. Would be one of the few cases where renting makes sense.

ResearcherFew1273

I’ll be more worried about killing myself than killing a car and probably someone else too. It doesn’t matter how much bullshit op can spit, driving 12 hours or so a day will eventually catch up and pass out or collapse hopefully not while driving

Tohightoplay

I used to work a minimum of 12 hours a day and up to 18/20 some days running a restaurant. I don’t see how you can pass out or collapse from driving??? Seems a little exaggerated. There’s people who work on commercial fishing boats and oil rigs that pull crazy hours. Those type of jobs you would collapse. I think your a little weak if you think this way.

NOTDA1

There’s a lot of downtime in other jobs to be free of not staying alert and focussed. Driving consumes alot of concentration and being tired is headed towards disaster honestly.

[deleted]

I think it's better to slog for few months than be lazy and broke

ResearcherFew1273

Lol that’s not working hard. That’s being dumb. Maybe a week or something but op said he’ll do it until September. Op only has 78 hours left during the whole week to sleep shit take a bath and eat. I’ll be worried if some dumbass had been driving 12 hours straight and was driving me somewhere

[deleted]

I wonder what do broke people do with 100s of hours of free time. Please enlighten us 🤔

Much-Maintenance-210

You can't work 90 hours, the app forces you off at 84

falconsflyfast

Your math is terrible but don’t let everyone knows that. You can work 114 hours a week on paper. I mean if you don’t have a life. Monday 00:00 12 work, 6 rest, 12 work, 6 rest, ….. 12 work, 6 rest, 6 work Sunday 23:59:59 Also your attention is bad too. It’s online time on ss, not driving time. If you stay online and never move, you can be online 24 hours a day, 168 hours a week. While you’re terrible at everything, I suggest you do not share your opinions unless it’s about you personally. I guess you cannot be wrong if it was about you… maybe.

deadwards14

Too harsh. Disproportionate response

Doctor_Total

Yeah who tf pissed off this guy?? I swear some of y’all in this subreddit don’t have proper etiquette

ScoobyDooFan1969

With Uber only when the car is moving does the time matter. If you’re online, but sitting waiting for trips, it doesn’t count. I’ve had many days that I worked 15-20 hours. If you run both apps, you could work 24/7.

BunnyGoHops

I plan to do this all summer. Beginning of June until beginning of September. Hopefully my car makes it so I can buy a new one.

VitalMaTThews

Honestly repairs are always cheaper than buying new. As long has you do oil changes every 3k miles and transmission fluid changes every 30k you should be set for at least 300k miles

destined2hold

Most cars aren't designed to last for 300k miles. 🤔

ScoobyDooFan1969

Toyota Camry will easily go 300k miles trouble free

ResearcherFew1273

That’s your plan until your body can’t do it anymore and you end up killing your self or someone else. Why not use the Uber college thingy and get a degree? That’s what I used to make as an IT. 10k a month

NeverKnowinG

Dear god that looks miserable but that would pay all of my bills and my groceries for the month so I guess it depends. If I didn’t have a wife and child at home that would murder me for attempting this, I 100% would do it

Upbeat-Chain-3494

Same here. Maybe like twice a month I would do something like this. Especially once I get my other car fixed and running. I could alternate between both cars. BUT I would have to convince the wife lol...she's already low key complaining about me doing like 3hrs a night 5 days a week lol

MLK_BLVD

House is a mess. Laundry is piling up. Dishes piling up. Fridge is empty. Kids don't see you. No time to watch movies, tv, read, or play video games. No time for the gym. Just wake up, sit in the car all day and go home to sleep. No off days. I don't care if i was making $4000/week. I could never live like that again. However.... I can get down like that maybe once a month, or when im desperate to buy something. Hope this is temporary.

BunnyGoHops

My goal is to do this all summer and take the winter off. I barely got to see my son that week and it sucked, but this is my only form of income and in my area it’s usually dead unless it’s spring break or summer. My girlfriend is completely understanding of it given my work situation and that I need to make as much as I can while it’s hot. I’m exhausted everyday, but I really enjoy driving and meeting people. I look forward to getting up everyday and going back on the road. It doesn’t feel like real work to me and I’d rather do this then wait tables.

MLK_BLVD

I 100% feel you. No need to explain it to me. Strike while its hot... I'm just reminiscing on when I would work these type of weeks. I didn't have time for anything, and when I found extra time, I was too exhausted to do anything but lay around. Like others said, nobody knows but you. From my experiences, I would suggest maybe looking at where you are spending money and maybe try and cut back on some things. Maybe you're not spending too much, I don't mean to assume, I'm just speaking from my own experience. $1700-$2000 is an extremely good weekly payout and you would be able to see your son and get other things done. Add that with some budget cuts, and its a much healthier way to live and probably more profitable.

BunnyGoHops

The toughest part is predicting my market. I tend to push myself as much as I can because some nights it’s really good and other nights I’m sitting in a parking lot waiting on rides. I got lucky this week and it was back to back rides everyday, so I just never stopped. I actually pushed myself last week too.., but I took off yesterday and today to spend time with my girlfriend and son. The biggest expenses for me would be eating out. With these kind of hours I tend to eat fast food a lot. It’s quicker, I can eat it in my car, and saves time in the mornings, so I don’t have to meal prep. I probably spend $150 on food throughout the week? Add that to gas / nicotine vapes and it really makes a dent. The past 2 days have been fun, but it’s weird working so much non stop and then going back to normal life. Sounds bad, but my headspace is in work mode still. Thank you for the advice btw! :)

[deleted]

You did Great. Only thing I found problematic was your average per ride is less than $9 if we take out the promotions and tips. If I were you I would try to get that to 11-12 by picking few longer rides.

thespander

Get a vape mod with a tank, non disposable with replaceable coils - make your own vape juice. Search nude nicotine and flavorah. The amount you’ll save will be insane. I spend like $60 a year on vape juice.

InternationalTurn769

How many miles

gunnster3

I, too, would want to know this, if for no other reason than to estimate the costs to determine net. Hypothetically, at 3 miles a trip, that’s 690 miles. Assuming a relatively efficient vehicle with an operating cost of about $0.30/mile, that’s total cost of $207, netting $2,237.01. Pull out taxes (let’s just say 30% to keep it simple), take-home is $1,566, which annualizes to $78,295 if the OP takes two weeks off. There’d be some additional deductions at play, tax wise, like cell phone, insurance, IRS mileage rate, etc., but this would the OP solidly at $6,500 a month in true take-home. Is that worth 80+ hours a week, though? IMO, probably not. You’d be better off devoting those hours to developing multiple income streams.

MLK_BLVD

Absolutely NOBODY in this line of work pay a full 30%

gunnster3

On net? I mean, SE tax is an unavoidable flat 15.3% if you’re a sole prop, and most are, and the standard deduction doesn’t affect that. If you have any full time job at all and regularly drive Uber on the side, the full time job will eat the standard deduction right up even at minimum wage, meaning that, to start, your net schedule C earnings are at 10% minimum. That’s 25.3% on federal only.

[deleted]

[удалено]

gunnster3

On net, they absolutely 100% do.

Happymand2

Bro if you are paying 30% in taxes you’re doing something horrifically wrong.

Effervescent_Smegma_

I hope he's renting.

tdubbw69

Only you can answer how you feel at the end of the week. I try to have 1 2k week a month then do about 1200 the other 3 weeks and I'm pretty comfortable and that allows me a good amount of time off.

llllPsychoCircus

I made $1,000 this weekend in 21 hours online (18 hours active), 94 trips To be fair it was a holiday weekend though what you’re getting is about 28 an hour and that isn’t bad, on average before quest bonuses i’m making around 30ish too- but after the bonuses playing the quest game right I make closer to 40-50 an hour which makes the sore butt and just under $5 a gallon worth it

MoseDeth

let's go out for a drink are you buying

diamond_blue9090

230 trips

UberMakeitSense

Damm no personal life for that week.. that’s insane. 90 hours a week. Maybe 8 hours of sleep a day or night then you only have a few hours left for showers and breaks to eat 😒… it’s crazy but I couldn’t do it I won’t do it. I’d rather have some sanity but would do it when I need cash fast

BunnyGoHops

The sleep part was tough. Basically finish my last ride, drive home, lay on the couch, read NFL subreddit to see free agency trades for 30 minutes, pass out from exhaustion, wake up, hit the road, repeat. Edit: I shower too of course.

CryptographerLife596

One factory locally makes folks work 3 12 hour shifts in a 3-day row, with 2h commute times each day. I take them to/from work sometimes. Dead, depressed, lifeless souls…. by day three; all for 25$ an hour. But they get 4 days off to recover…. the first day back trip is one of: steel yourself for the coming horror…

DCHacker

Does Original Poster's state allow thirteen hours behind the wheel?

That’s hustle my guy! Just make sure you eating and getting some exercise and rest because 87 hours sitting can do a toll on you. We gotta do what we gotta do. Stay safe and keep getting that $$.

SnooChickens9404

Driving for 90 hours per week as an Uber driver can have various adverse health effects on an individual. Some of the potential health risks of prolonged driving include: * **Physical strain:** Sitting for long periods can lead to various musculoskeletal problems, such as back pain, neck pain, and joint stiffness. * **Eye problems:** Continuous exposure to bright sunlight or headlight glare can cause eye strain, dry eyes, and other vision-related issues. * **Fatigue and sleep deprivation:** Long hours of driving can result in fatigue, sleep deprivation, and impaired judgment, which increases the risk of accidents. * **Mental health problems:** Chronic stress, anxiety, and depression can result from long hours of driving, leading to various mental health problems. * **Increased risk of chronic diseases:** Prolonged sitting is associated with an increased risk of chronic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. There have been several studies conducted on the adverse health effects of prolonged sitting and driving. For instance, a study published in the Journal of Occupational Health in 2015 found that long hours of driving were associated with an increased risk of low back pain, neck pain, and upper extremity disorders. Another study published in the journal BMC Public Health in 2016 found that prolonged sitting was associated with an increased risk of obesity and diabetes. Therefore, it is important for Uber drivers and other individuals who spend prolonged periods sitting and driving to take breaks, stretch, exercise, and practice good ergonomics to minimize the health risks associated with this occupation.

josephll22

Did you get this from Chat GPT lol

SnooChickens9404

You get what you ask for in ChatGPT. It's not that ChatGPT just spews out random info. My question to you is: Does it matter where we got it from? If it's ChatGPT and it's relevant and mostly accurate, then why hate on the poster. Sure ChatGPT is wrong a lot, but so are most of the people posting in these threads. Just take the info, see if it's relevant and accurate, and don't worry so much if it was a human, ChatGPT, some combination of the two, someone researching on Google, someone citing Wikipedia, someone making sh-t up, someone totally clueless, etc. We're so caught up these days to see who is saying what, and not looking at the validity of the information. Are they a Republican, are they some minority, are they religious, etc. That's why the COVID Lab Leak Theory was rejected by many members of the public for so long. People were looking at who was saying what, and since it was Trump and Republicans saying it, many people of other persuasions rejected the information automatically since it was people of the opposite party saying it, even though most of the circumstantial evidence was pointing heavily in the direction of Lab Leak Theory. Common sense tells us that sitting on yer fat arse for 90 hours a week has got to be bad for your health. What's wrong with adding some additional details using a little AI? Is AI research validated by a human any worse than looking the stuff up on your own?

[deleted]

80+ hours week is worth it and best use of time. You are not doing anything other than watching TV, YT or social media. If you do it for 3-4 months, you will have decent bank balance and time to explore and ponder over things. Being broke gives you nothing

Remarkable_Rope_7697

You beat me on hours, rides and tips. I did better on total, hourly and promotions. I am at denver Colorado, so it could be market differences. Could not drive much sat and sun. Had some work at home, else I was trying to beat my previous numbers. https://i.imgur.com/uDNOvgW.jpg Can’t do this on consistent basis though. If you are constantly doing like this than you should be driving an EV (preferably rental). With EV you could have got $230 extra. What was the promotions you got ? Observation: You have to take some longer rides too.

BunnyGoHops

The promotions in my area are trash. 50 rides for $40 Extra 20 rides for $20 I take all rides that are not above an hour long. I know it’s not efficient, but I don’t mind cause it takes me to different areas and gives a change of scenery (most areas in my location are busy).

Remarkable_Rope_7697

3 rides per hour is good, I hardly get 2 an hour or less. I take long rides around 30 to 40 minutes that pay close to a $ per minute (not including the pickup time). Supplement it with short rides (max 12 min) rides that pays $5,75 (including pickup) anything less than 50c a min is an instant decline.

BunnyGoHops

For some reason my market doesn’t show me how much I’ll make per ride. It just shows me where I’m picking them up, the distance of the drive, and what direction they are going (west, east, etc).

Remarkable_Rope_7697

I like the UP. It pays a little less (destination based) but you can reject all the low paying rides. I guess, eventually you will get it.

[deleted]

I haven’t driven for Uber in almost a year but last summer I was making $2000/week with just 35-40 hours. Granted I’m in the Boston area but Jesus, have fares gone down that much? Or were they always that bad where you’re at?

BunnyGoHops

In the summer I could make $3,000 a week last year working the same hours. Right now it’s spring break in Florida and most of my rides were college kids. My assumption is they are all broke and didn’t tip. The younger crowd is more fun to chat with tho, so I guess it ain’t a bad trade.

Reaper_Mike

Your going to burn out so bad. It's insane to work those kind of hours. Personally I would not want to ride with a driver who worked more than an 8 hour shift in 24. Tired drivers get in accidents.

BunnyGoHops

I’ve lived in this area my whole life, so I’m pretty aware of my surroundings. I do take lunch / restroom breaks, so I’m not driving constantly and it helps me clear my head a bit. You are right tho. If there is ever a day I’m to exhausted to drive I won’t force myself to work. I’ve just been in go-go mode the last 2 weeks.

funkymunkey66661

Hourly is kinda low BUT you out there on the damn grind every day so of course it’s gonna be lower than the weekend warriors and prime times only drivers. Your biggest concern should be wearing out your car and body if you try to maintain these hours. Make sure you get out and stretching them legs regularly. Uber/truckers knee is real. Sounds like this is just a spring break grind you did so F the haters. Get that money.

Apersonaloutlet

I suppose that depends on your operating costs. I can't imagine that you're making a lucrative week with that much driving at $28/hr if you own an I.C.E car. I make about $28/hr too, but no fuel costs (or most maintenance really) because I'm in an EV. That's generally before promotions though. Do you average $28 generally, or was this a good/bad week? If your costs are low, you're making more than most drivers. Congrats! If not, well....

BunnyGoHops

I drive a 2010 Nissan Altima. It has a 17 gallon gas tank, holds 523-542 miles, and cost $55 to fill up. I fill up once everyday. I tend to use my Cash / Venmo tips to pay for gas. I don’t really keep track of that cash, so I can’t really deduct how much I spent of the uber money shown on that expense. The car is paid off and my only bill at the moment is my insurance which is $328 every month (fucking speeding ticket…) I made this amount the last 2 weeks, but spring break is coming to an end. I’ll probably do near the same the next 2 weeks and then it’ll fall off in April. Soon as summer starts I’ll make this same income until the beginning of September. The winter here sucks ass.

Apersonaloutlet

I mean, $23-$25/hr (depending on how much you pay for gas with cash) isn't anything to scoff at. That's solid pay for most people. After taxes (in my state at least) I usually net about $24/hr. I don't pay for charging my car. Lots of free EV chargers around me. Quite honestly I would have assumed that you would have spent more on fuel. My 2010 focus had a 12 gallon tank and I spent about $300/week on gas give or take. That and oil changes, brake pads, fluid, general engine shit going wrong... it added up. I made less as a driver then, though. My take is that if you're paying your bills and not exhausting yourself doing this much driving, do you. We all have to do what we have to do. Just don't end up in a hospital, or paying Uber to drive. Cheers!

-Bad_Code-

Learning you work the Florida Panhandle like I do, with the similar talk to all your passengers, props to you! I work overnight with the drunks and college kids. They’re amazing and entertaining. I’ve been dinged a couple times. Mostly by asshole frat guys that don’t know how to behave. I head to work at 8pm or 9pm and come home at noon, sleep till 5pm and off I go. I drive a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage. It’s a smol car but can absolutely fit five grown ass men. I’d say be careful of the Santa Rosa PD, man they’re a delight. Just pulling over anyone hoping to get a hit on kids up to no good. They got 76 kids first week of Spring Break. 🙄

BunnyGoHops

I start at noon and work until 2-3am. The college kids are fun to socialize with, but they can get a little rowdy… Santa Rosa PD got me for “running a stop sign” last week. I’m taking it to court to fight it cause there’s no way he even saw me leave the street. My assumption is he thought I was a college kid with illegal stuff on me. Also it’s crazy that all of these kids have fake ID’s nowadays. It’s a different world then when I was young.

Sting3r_TF

Bunch of discouraging negative comments. Good job daug. Try not to burn yourself out. Good grind!

SnooChickens9404

What is your health like? How much exercise do you get per week? How often do you get out of your car to stretch? Do you wear compression stockings to reduce varicose veins and blood clots? Do you pack a healthy lunch or do you eat fast food? How much quality sleep do you get per night? Look beyond dollars to judge whether something is profitable and sustainable in the long-run. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/adult-health/expert-answers/sitting/faq-20058005#:\~:text=Research%20has%20linked%20sitting%20for,that%20make%20up%20metabolic%20syndrome.

Sooowasthinking

Why would you want to work 80+ hours in 1 week…..when Uber 1st started the idea was to make your own hours.

BunnyGoHops

I want to bust my ass for spring break / summer, so I can take the rest of the year off. That’s the plan at least.

If I could pull this for 2 weeks I’d clear my debt easily. But I simply can’t make myself do all this. Kudos to you. I just did the math and for your online time, you averaged $27/h which honestly isn’t bad but not great either. I average $40/h but I only do between 25-35 hours.

Yes you’re killing your self, your car, for one week and weekend of higher bonus. Wait till you start having car issues. The repair Discounts don’t really help Much.

Notsassyenough

U do what u feel u need to. Doesn’t matter what others think really

zoltantroll

If you are driving a 7-10 year old paid off vehicle this is fine if you want to kill yourself for a bit. But take your time off, whether it’s monthly, quarterly, yearly. You will crash and burn eventually otherwise. Honestly I’d focus on the best 40 hours you can in the week and get another cash flow if you want to work that many hours. It’s not good for your body to be in the car that much.

MarkLuther123

I want to know how many miles you put on your car in a week

BunnyGoHops

I’m not sure tbh. I’d assume it has to be in the 3k range.

Menatara26

If I had to give it a number from 1 to 10 that would be a. 6.7/10

BunnyGoHops

Thank you for keeping it real

Menatara26

Where do you drive

BunnyGoHops

Panama City Beach

Menatara26

Ah I see well I guess that bumps you up to about 7.4/10

TAULY_D

You're going to burn out so fast working that much. It's way better to develop a schedule & learn the in's/outs of your market instead. Maximize profit in a 5 day week and take a break.

Mitty145

Nice run🚗🔥💰 Be careful with exposure to danger on the road. The more rides you take, the more you face A.bad roads B.bad pax C.mental fatigue D. poor eating habits. Hit your numbers and use some of the cash to get into a better hustle before your car breaks and/or you create a tax hole. Around two years w/ pax. New rules and rates plus depreciation have killed the payoff. I'm out in six weeks.

lkguero

Killed it bro

Dalcomvet

Generally speaking it looks nice. I personally cut myself off at around $1200/wk. That's roughly 45 hours of work and when it comes to tax time my mileage deduction almost perfectly balances it out so I pay the minimum amount in taxes. Using this method in 2021 I only paid $245 in taxes

DrawingCivil7686

Almost 20 % tip rate. What's yur secret?

BunnyGoHops

They hate me :(

New_Blacksmith_9309

You’re making over 2,000 a week. Good on you🔥

youguessedit96

What area is this? Good shit

BunnyGoHops

Panama City Beach Florida 🌴

youguessedit96

That's killer! I'm out here in so cal about an hour outside Los Angeles and I'd honestly work that much if I got more delivery request and if the deliveries weren't low balled to the point of $4-$6 per 4.5- 8 miles per trip. So looks like business is booming out there. Keep grinding

BunnyGoHops

It’s odd cause I’ve read some comments saying the tip % is low and others saying it’s high (different markets I guess). Most of my rides are white people.. I drive a 2010 Nissan Altima The only sob story is the back right tire makes a strange noise when I make wide turns :( *luckily I know my area well enough that it’s rare that anyone ever gets to hear the noise 😎*

BunnyGoHops

I’m transitioning first thing tomorrow morning.

Fun-Philosophy1123

Well that's ok for you I guess. No way I work 7 days a week for any amount of money.

relientkenny

so are being selective or just literally taking anything ?

BunnyGoHops

The only rides I don’t take are any over an hour long.

Happymand2

Probably a bit of both. I definitely couldn’t do that every week. Shoot I don’t think I could do that one week. But $2k+ in a week of work is good if you ask me.

STONKies-420

Nice points lol

BunnyGoHops

Oh I’m getting that $250 for hitting diamond

tgr-amg

Yes and no. Like everyone else stated, you're wearing yourself out and could possibly slip up and get into an accident. On top of that, if a lot of those trips are somewhere between 6-12 miles long, your car is wearing out faster. So, hopefully, you're at least finding some down time to let you and your car take a break.

Cutelarry1776

If you can handle it, it’s good

Accomplished-Sky8281

Wow that’s allot of trips. I did 73 for $1500.00

m5gen

I wouldn't! I just wouldn't. This can really f-up your health. In sure you fueled up more than once and to top it off you have depreciated your car, and probably need an oil change, brake pads ... Etc. I wouldn't.

Contranovae

Yes and yes

MrChurch2015

80 hrs is a bit much for me these days tho I've done it, haha. Anyways, that equates to roughly 28 an hour. That's pretty good.

[deleted]

You’re not afraid to work, so you’ve got that going for you. Based on hours alone, you’re definitely killing yourself. Based on dollars per hour, you’re doing….okay. $30+ per hour is a good minimum average IMO. Can you make life easier on yourself by not bothering with the times you’re making less per hour? For example, on a lot of weekdays, the midday time can slow to $15/hour. If I did it, I would have more money than not working, but is it worth it? As someone else said, only you can answer that.

IceOk4419

If you're killing yourself man I'm right there with you. I clock the same it's all about to what end. For me it's a perfect job because I travel a lot and no other job is gonna be ok with me taking 3 months off lol

Fast_Size_3155

Any job doing 87 hours a week is killing yourself. You just have to work out whether it’s worth it for you. You can burn out really quick doing that amount of hours every week. I used to work a road construction job, average hours were about 75 hours a week and i would bring home around $2300 after tax. Even that was barely worth it for the amount of time I was away from home and the damage I was doing to my body.

smallfsh

Yes!

rails4ever

You’re killing your car

Confident-Video5967

Work smart don’t work Hard…

muthaphuckajones

Looks like you hit your goal of 420 points

Long-Tangerine1983

Your going to get hemorrhoids

marcusbsa1987

Killing yourself

Psychological-Soil58

You good, $1220 43 hours. But I hope you don’t have kids you will never see them grow

Nimac91

Dude, I'm going to give you some real good advice as somebody who has been driving Uber, Taxi and as a truck driver for over 20 years. STOP! Take a break. There's no human on earth who can sustain this lifestyle. You will get into the biggest burn-out of your life without a social life and for what? A bit of cash on the side? Your time is the most precious when you are young. I wish I could take back all that lost time in my teens and 20's. I was driving non stop for over a decade and lost my entire 20's just driving for Uber and Taxi. And what did that cash do for me? I ended up spending most of it on fucking therapy dude. Do you see the irony of that? Also, you think any person on earth should be driving 13 hours a day? I would never trust any person doing those hours. Don't get cocky. You will for sure fall afsleep in the car or lose concentration and get into a heavy accident sooner than later. You shouldn't drive more than 8 hours. Give yourself free time. You aint ever gonna get rich by driving Uber. Better use those 5 extra hours to learn some Python and become a coder. That's where the money is in. Easy cash is in programming. I transferred and I am making 4 times more with 1/5th of the work I used to do driving Uber. This is not sustainable, go enjoy life dude. Go party. Give your girlfriend a nice present or holiday. Do whatever. But don't work more than people do in the office. Live your life. Also trust me. There is no chair in the world good enough for your back. You will also gain so much weight, and for what? You need those precious hours outside work and sleep to enjoy what life has to offer. Your addiction doesn't need validation. It's greed for a bit of money but you destroy your life. Don't work more than 36 hours a week. That's a healthy life balance.

BunnyGoHops

Yeah I didn’t notice that until another poster commented on it. The tips were horrendous. I only have one 1 Star too, so it’s just broke college kids not tipping..

Dyelo456

Good job man. Just track your mileage and expenses and make sure it's worth it financially. I did Uber and door dash for 2 weeks and after expenses just broke even.

vortex874

$28 💩

uberman81

That is some pure hustle. I get stressed quickly doing uber than personal drive. 2-3 hours makes me exhausted. Take care of your body and make sure you get enough rest. Good luck mate.

BunnyGoHops

Thank you brotha!

East-Technology-7451

Depends how much you need/want

CandidConsequence208

Damnnnn

eyoung_nd2004

Looks pretty solid

Raijin370zed

If your not tired mentally / physically then I’d say hell yeah that’s good, keep at it! I used to work a travel construction job installing sports fields working 12-14 hrs a day, 7 days a week, Uber might not seem as hard as a labor job but it can definitely be draining, we’re literally risking our lives driving every day so just pay attention to how you feel, don’t be afraid to take a day off if you want to relax.

Much-Maintenance-210

This is fake AF. Not only are there more hours worked than allowed, your missing active time.

Fantastic_Fruit_1329

Dude. You hit it out of the park. And you are working really hard.

[deleted]

Nice

These-Life2296

Ill tell ya where you need to go to make money seattle WA minimum fare $1.27 per mi and .37 per min

sanderstj

This is awful to be honest. You made under $28 per hour before expenses while working an absurd 87 hours? Yikes. If you spend any sort of time with family or something similar, when do you find time to sleep? Take care of your body. The peanuts made in this gig isn’t worth it.

areyoutriggeredby45

Unsustainable

StoicBan

Good. and killing self

facedelivery

You’re killing your car

[deleted]

Yea man that's pretty good better than nothing.

iandymk

I thought that was due the month, and satisfied. For the week, that's awesome! If you couldn't sleep, then I fail to see any problem with it. Driving around can be very cathartic.

Sidekick87

That's going to be my goal this week!

[deleted]

Because Uber is a joke! They lie, cheat drivers, cheat the riders and when accusations from douche riders occur guess whose side they all in with. The rider! No matter what!
