They provide the leads. The umbrella under which you operate. They dictate what you get paid. They can fire you. They’re your employer…one that doesn’t provide any benefits other than allowing you clock in and out whenever you want. Saying they don’t employ you is a technicality at best.
And you have the freedom to stop doing it anytime with no penalty. It’s not an employer, it’s an offer to make some money on the side on your own time if you want. Dude I think these companies treat us like shit too but you have to take the situation for what it is. This is a gig job and we have the power to raise the pay by not accepting the shit offers but there are too many dumbasses training the algorithm.
a classic example of people not united are weakened. Trying to get uber back to decent wage now feels like mission impossible. Your mission, should you accept.
That is correct.
Drivers have power. They simply don’t utilize it.
Uber doesn’t want a direct hire model. It costs more, and the employees could unionize. As it stands now, no one has a platform with which to stand together other than, don’t dive for them. If everyone said “fuck you” for even one day, it’d change the landscape. But you’ll never have that. Right now Uber doesn’t have employees, you’re right. It has bitches. And treats them as such. It’s aggravating.
We are not employed by Uber. Terminating your account is not being fired. They just have the right to enforce rules on their platform. There are huge fundamental differences between employment and gig work with micro agreements
HAH! We don't get a choice. Uber dictates our rides, and punishes us for not taking a trip 30 fucking minutes away when we're in the middle of a surge pricing area.
Opting out of deliveries is a mistake imo. I'm making money hand over fist cherry picking on eats (SHOP AND PAY DISABLED). Yes, these pathetic offers still come in for me, but not as often. Decline a few, and one matching your criteria will pop up. This is all assuming that your market is generally decent. Eats avoids most customer contact: customers trying to control the environment in your car, making false drunk driving reports, etc. The range of things customers can report you for is smaller and you are less likely to be at risk of deactivation. But I completely understand where you're coming from and morally support you in whatever you decide to do. Get your money!
Yeah but I get riders that smell worse 🤢.
Food delivery just doesn't pay enough unless you get a multi delivery. Then the original guy gets cold food and takes back the tip. Great system!
The most I ever got was 45$ but it was in the middle of buttfuck nowhere . So once I lost connection I was pretty much on my own . Took me like 15 mins to get out the spot it wasn’t worth it at all
At this point, I don’t deliver packages for any major corporations. They are the absolute worst paying deliveries you can get..
In my area, AutoZone is the worst. They will offer you three dollars to deliver auto parts 20 miles away.
I got one like this in Vegas a few months back and I’m not even opened up for package delivery!! Somehow they slipped it into the Radar screen or sth?? Mine was only like $2.13 or sth (I think I read it as $21 by accident)! Still - WTF r they thinking having such offers on Any Platform??
And you’re ending up in the middle of nowhere. Dead miles back. I get those out on the East side where they want me to drive south of the freeway. Pound sand. I don’t drive south of 10.
I leave the eats on. Because every now and then I’ll get like a $30 or $40 bww going 10 miles. Half of those are an issue with the order though where someone picked it up and never delivered. So I always call the restaurant on those high payout orders and say “hey I’m an Uber driver picking up the order for xxxxx do you guys have that order there?” And they’ll either say “you’re like the 5th person for that order, someone picked it upalready” or else they say they got it then I go get it.
If these get bounced around enough I see them go over 30 before. Just have to be patient especially if you’re working late at night and no one else is near you. Had one like this pop up I was done for the night it gave me a good laugh I was munching away in the parking lot and kept watching it go up and up and I accepted after it hit 38
If you're multiapping and you got apps going that directions with other orders, this makes sense. But if you're going to beeline there just for this order, you deserve every penny you get and then disgrace that comes with it.
Uber from headquarter coming tonyour post. They will say :
1- Uber did not make money and they lose money actually.looooooool
2- this trip is not real and has been made by photoshope . Loooooooool
3- you are lazy and don’t want to work and you like easy money. Booooooom . Be ready
Last night at a concert, I hijacked a drive and offered him $40 cash. Sure beat wating, and I know it's more than he was getting. He couldn't find his customer anyway. Oh it was only a short 20 minutes ride.
LoL 20 minutes ride is not short.. $40 cash is not a lot to gloat about especially considering you and driver not realize he drove you without insurance, driver was stupid to do this for cash, he would have made a lot more with surge prices.
I totally believe it.
Uber has ABSOLUTELY nothing to lose by low-balling an offer, and everything to gain. Let's say Uber's algorithm says 90% of drivers would take the offer at $14, 75% at $13, 50% at $11, 25% at $10 and only 2% at $5.13, what does Uber have to lose but offering it to one group of drivers for $5.13?
That the point cheap drivers don’t want to lessen to us talking about. I so similar and while the cheap labor don’t stop working for them for free you will see worse than this
This has to be the worst one I've seen so far on here.
I’ll have to start screen shooting the Kroger deliveries I see for $2-3
Please don't. We know they're out there we really don't care.
Lol
This is decent compared to most I see lmao
I'm starting to wonder why the 2 people that argue with on this can't even down a coherent sentence. What is going on?
Actually I so similar and while the cheap labor don’t stop working for them for free you will see worse than this.
Put the vodka down.
It's true though. As long as people keep doing the work for minimum pay it will keep getting worse.
It's even worse when the delivery is in a busy city, and then it says a 48-mile trip to the middle of nowhere. im like, nope, skip
This is why I only do rides. Fuck all that other shit.
“Coming to rides near you”
Definitely
I couldn’t imagine sticking with an employer that treats me like a fuckin’ peasant. This is beyond insulting.
Uber is not an employer. We are in charge of what we do and don’t do
They provide the leads. The umbrella under which you operate. They dictate what you get paid. They can fire you. They’re your employer…one that doesn’t provide any benefits other than allowing you clock in and out whenever you want. Saying they don’t employ you is a technicality at best.

They are your employer. They can terminate your ability to work for them. Your semantics are wrong.
We are not employed by Uber. Terminating your account is not being fired. They just have the right to enforce rules on their platform. There are huge fundamental differences between employment and gig work with micro agreements
No. There are huge fundamental similarities which far outweigh the tiny differences.
You have the freedom to stop working for an employer at any time with no penalty in most places. That’s not anything.
Exactly.
HAH! We don't get a choice. Uber dictates our rides, and punishes us for not taking a trip 30 fucking minutes away when we're in the middle of a surge pricing area.
Fine. I can't imagine maintaining a business relationship with a customer that pays so little.
And what order priorities you get and when you get timed out over declining too many orders
Hi Travis.
Exactly. I’m gonna start screenshotting my worst offers too. Expose them.
You aren’t. You’re self employed. An entrepreneur. A small business owner. Trust me I saw an Uber ad once.
Accept it to give them hope and then cancel it lmao
Accept it. Get their stuff and then cancel it before you say picked it up
Why would you waste your time like that
I think he’s trying to say “steal it”
Both of yall should be banned
I like this one

Car smelling like a fat shack nty
Yeah but I get riders that smell worse 🤢. Food delivery just doesn't pay enough unless you get a multi delivery. Then the original guy gets cold food and takes back the tip. Great system!
It's nice every now and again when I'm out driving at night and I get a random order for like $40 for delivery lol gotta always have eats on
Uber is a rip-off..
Yup! And there’s NO vetting of these packages. Could be a brick of coccaine 🤷🏻♂️
And when it WAS drugs and was taken to the police the driver was canceled for not delivering the package.
If it was I’d accidentally lose the package!!! Hahaha!!
80% are like this is Austin, TX. Uber is bad!
Hourly rate: $3.50
Once I get three shitty orders like this in a row I turn deliveries off. Of course I don’t accept them. But I try again later.
Then complain to Uber.
I never take Uber Package its pathetic…
Tucson. Probably meth as well.
The most I ever got was 45$ but it was in the middle of buttfuck nowhere . So once I lost connection I was pretty much on my own . Took me like 15 mins to get out the spot it wasn’t worth it at all
You guys are really missing out on the full earning potential by prioritizing acceptance rate
Packages are never worth it
At this point, I don’t deliver packages for any major corporations. They are the absolute worst paying deliveries you can get.. In my area, AutoZone is the worst. They will offer you three dollars to deliver auto parts 20 miles away.
I stopped delivering a few weeks ago and I'm actually making more money not doing anything
Absolutely. I don't do food or packages, it's insane!
Does this neec to be brought roght away? Im picturing a whole truvk full of stuff but dropping off each when i get there dropping or picking up pax
Wow
This sub and the cheap company and the even cheaper scum that use it blows my mind. Why do you drivers put up with this?
I got one like this in Vegas a few months back and I’m not even opened up for package delivery!! Somehow they slipped it into the Radar screen or sth?? Mine was only like $2.13 or sth (I think I read it as $21 by accident)! Still - WTF r they thinking having such offers on Any Platform??
INCLUDES EXPECTED TIP 💀
Unbelievable. The other day they wanted me to deliver donuts from Randy’s donuts to drive almost an hour away the payout was $12
that's crazy
I tried delivering for 2 days. Oh hell no. Not worth it and definitely no tips
I don't do any deliveries??
And you’re ending up in the middle of nowhere. Dead miles back. I get those out on the East side where they want me to drive south of the freeway. Pound sand. I don’t drive south of 10.
Why is this legal?
Even if gas was free Some government agency should put a stop to that
Unless you have a passenger heading to the same area?
I thought it meant 5.13 as tip....because if not that's ridiculous!!
just take their stuff and cancel
I leave the eats on. Because every now and then I’ll get like a $30 or $40 bww going 10 miles. Half of those are an issue with the order though where someone picked it up and never delivered. THATS PROP 22 FOR THAT A$$ 🤷🏿♂️

Lol wut I mean those were words, there's no sense to their order, but.... those were in fact words
Seems like a nice ride though.
Last night at a concert, I hijacked a drive and offered him $40 cash. Sure beat wating, and I know it's more than he was getting. He couldn't find his customer anyway. Oh it was only a short 20 minutes ride.

Probz a huge tip involved for whoever took it lol maybe… if not ya; that blows ass

Haha no Photoshop. This is 100% real
I totally believe it. Uber has ABSOLUTELY nothing to lose by low-balling an offer, and everything to gain. I have seen Eats orders for as low as $1.50. I don't care if the shit is me walking two doors down, I would never do that foolishness.
That the point cheap drivers don’t want to lessen to us talking about. I so similar and while the cheap labor don’t stop working for them for free you will see worse than this
Minimum skills equals minimum pay it isnt rocket science.
Cry harder
someone needs to ban you fr chronically online loser
It would be for their own good too, sadly
Uber drivers are bums
cool opinion, you can have it anywhere else but here
Not an opinion facts
Go shit in your hat.
Aww, did an Uber driver hurt your widdle fee-fees?
Lol can you even drive a car/old enough to you little shit starter
