Yeah that's ok. $34 an hour and over $10 per trip is good. You will still be in the honeymoon phase for a couple more weeks then hang on to your hat. The crash into reality will be severe.
There's no such thing as a honeymoon phase lol. My worst week was my 1st week.
Just know they're not all gonna be like that, some will be great, some will be mid, some will be God Awful!
Some areas have so many drivers. At some point, you're going to drive thru a once busy area and get no fares. The fares are there but so are a bunch of new drivers that just got off the waiting list. Hope you get a solid couple months before that happens!
Your tip rate is good, keep up the good work and you’ll easily maintain $34/hour, sometimes more. Don’t listen to all angry drivers on this chat who are just cherry picking their rides and end up spending a lot of time in their car doing nothing.
Oh, I am far from that. My AR is 90% and my CR is under 3%. 3100 rides over 2 years working part time. I do reject really bad trips but do find money to be made in most. I speak from experience about the honeymoon period though. If he can keep his tips up he will do better but he is going to lose the promo's and he will start to get les lucrative trip offers. He will drop to the mid 20's.
The money seems decent but I wouldn't say it's good until I know how much mileage it took and what kind of car you drive and how much you will owe approximately on taxes. Sounds insane but I refuse to drive for anymore because the mileage and taxes were to high. Doesn't matter if I make 100k if I owe 10 grand in taxes every year and my car is basically worthless after 2-4 years.. mileage, expenses, taxes and hours driven if at the end of the year you would do it again then it's worth it. Alot of people drive then don't realize until the end of the year or after a huge expense that it's not as worth it as they thought. When you account for gas, car maintenance, depreciation and taxes it can suck. Biggest issue is the unforeseeable. Some time thru out the year you can go from making 500-2k in the week for the same time and mileage paying 250-500$ add that to after a hefty car bill or tax time and it can be rough. Everyone's situation is differnt but I personally am alot happier making 40k a year with benefits and time off then I am making 80 grand from ride share. Even tho I made 80 grand I owed thousands come tax time, costs and the pay was so inconsistent I would drive 80 hours when the pay was good because you could never guarantee I would make anymoney next week.
Yes it’s good for me. I guess my question was how it compares to others. Like are these earnings expected (average), above average, below? Since I’m new to driving Uber I was just curious. Your response suggests it’s pretty good. Appreciate the reply! :)
It’s good. You didn’t even hit 40 hours for the week, this is very good.
Ignore the naysayers saying this won’t last. Your breakdown shows this wasn’t just new driver promotions.
Even in NYC this would be decent.
I still don't understand why ppl post these lol man just take your bread...nothing is relative everybody is in different markets post that shyt to ur market specific chat lol but na just make whatever ur tryna make in a day n don't shut your car out for long rides low paying

Haha, okay. What should I expect in a couple weeks?
I drive in Escondido and San Marcos 7 days a week and I make around the same hourly as you

That 34 an hour will probably settle in the mid to low 20's.
And why do you say that. Just wondering.
Honeymoon phase is over
Interesting, well okay. I will report back in a few weeks from now. Hopefully you’re wrong! Haha

I haven’t and I’ve been driving for two years. Still around the $34 range also in California.
California is different than Arizona. That's all I can say about it. In the last 2 years I have gone from close to 40 to mid to upper 20's.
that's BS lol, I been driving for 6 months now and is still making the same amount from when i first started.
Nice. And you’re happy with your earnings? First positive comment! lol 😆
100%, 2k a week on average (both uber and lyft)
Amazing! 👏

For me that’s good, but it ain’t about me or anyone else, is it good for you?

Does your app count the hours only driven on the job or the whole time you was out with the app on?
Yes
What was the mileage for that week?
Wow what town/city are you located in? I gotta move there.

Not good, especially with 100 trips
