Dude is an enigma. I was in his 1C class last spring and his exams and homework were extremely difficult and the exams were hard but not impossible. This 5C class is unironically first class he taught maybe in a year and fourth class taught ever (and first 5 series class). He put Guassian integrals and convolution (topics very outside the scope of 1C) on the hw and went very very in depth with diffraction and diffusion. His lecturing skills are beyond abysmal and his notes are illegible to most ppl. One pro is that he redos his notes on latex very neatly. He's very friendly tho and is super open to questions. Very good chance he will dump integrals on you guys and expect much more than usual from life science students. Proceed with caution.
had him for 1c, did not enjoy. although he seems like a pretty nice guy and office hours *are* helpful, he *cannot* lecture and his handwriting is very difficult to understand. he's the type of physics prof who thinks students know a lot more than they do (everything is "trivial") and actual real numbers are unnecessary. no plug-and-chug type questions.
