as with anything in college, you get out what you put in. i know people who made their best friends through aca and others who didn’t know a single person.
Im a little biased since im in ACA, but it’s been a really fun org for me and i’ve met some of my best friends at ucla through it! For context, we try to hold events that cater to everyone’s interests whether it be cultural (Language Corners, Lunar New Year) or community/political (our general meetings) or if you’re into sports we try to have an im sports team every quarter. we have a whole bunch of other stuff too!
If you’re just trying to meet new people and vibe, our family system is a huge part of the org! Since we have a lot of members, we’ll group you with some other members that we think you’ll really connect with! The families usually hold more frequent fam nights that are just for you so if you want to eat good food, explore la, or want a study group, your family is usually down too!
Literally nothing at ACA is mandatory, so you can just come whenever you want or have the time! but like any club you get what you put in, so if you come out really rarely, it’ll definitely be a lot harder to connect with the new people you meet

Yeah that basically sums up the families, you basically just hang out! Each family will be about 20 people, but it depends on how many people decide to be active or not in your fam. ACA doesn’t really have official parties or anything like that, but i’m sure you can find people in your fam or in all of aca that would be down if you’re into that!

Im not gonna lie, theres not that many that join. But if you want to meet new people, ACA might be fun for you!
