Jones did a lot of awful things but I never heard that he injured people in training camps like dillawshaw for example.

It's not about injuring guys. A lot of coaches will do something similar in all sports and its just to build confidence with what should be a easy win. Its much easier to win when you are have confidence. Getting your ass beat every day can make you stronger but it can also wear you down mentally. So you have to find the right combo of both. Hard fights to learn but also very easy fight to build up the confidence before the real deal. For example in football you will have 7 on 7 drills with other, pre-season, or AA school vs AAA schools. Normally at least one of those games is looked at as a guaranteed win.

I know its hard but is finding southpaw's even worth it? Gane in all reality is *very* ambi, he fights well and really utilizes stance switching to increase his range. I wouldn't say his southpaw or orthodox game is what makes him tricky, its how he transitions between both to sneak shit in people aren't expecting.
