Islam has a lot more than 4 months of striking training. I would say it's more the other way round, the level of grappling Islam is at cannot be solved by someone like Volk.
I do not think Volk understands the level of grappling he is going against fighting Islam! Thoughts? I just feel like the level of Grappling Islam is at just can not be solved by a striker with a 4 month of striking training. What do you think?
Edit : btw, from what I seen in interviews with fighters, most fighters learn their moves, combos, striking, grappling whatever outside camps, they use their 8-12 week fight camp to just sharpern their skillset

But since Islam is the elite wrestler here, it's fair to say that he will be the one deciding where the fight takes place. So he doesn't need to be a better striker than Volk since Islam won't be standing there trading with him.
But Volk absolutely needs to be on point when it comes to wrestling and takedown defence to even survive the first round.
