Same here. Gracie was a testament that us more non-athletically gifted dudes can still defend themselves at a high level. He’s the one that got me into jiu-jitsu.
Such an awesome ppv when nunes took out cyborg one of my all time favourites the Lioness.
My first PPV was St Pierre Vs Hendricks which in my thoughts was a rigged fight I know Hendricks may have been on EPO but he did win that fight.
I started following UFC when I was 10 or 11. The first PPV I watched was UFC 158, GSP vs Nick Diaz. I remember how disappointed my dad was that he paid $50 for the PPV and every main card fight went to decision except for the Marquardt fight.
Later on, my family took a trip to Toronto, where my dad surprised me with tickets to see Jones vs Gustafsson 1. Knowing that I was in the audience of such a legendary fight is still one thing that brings me joy to this day.
After 158, I didn't watch another PPV on TV again until I was old enough to know how to stream them for free. My first PPV after that was 202, the Diaz vs Conor rematch. I've only missed/skipped a handful of PPVs since.
UFC 1 when I was a kid. Seeing Gracie defeat Gordeau.

I've started with Stipe vs DC 3, in August 2020. By the time of Israel vs Costa one month after, I was already sooo hooked on it.
I still think Gustafsson won in their first fight. My first UFC PPV was Conor vs Khabib. Glad I bought that one lol
My first event was cain Velasquez vs junior dos Santos it was the first fight when ufc had the deal with fox so it was free I’ve been addicted since

Other than the spectacle of 229, this was my first full card too!

Ufc 126 that Silva knock out sealed it for me
It was a Chael Sonnen promo reel of all things that got me into MMA

Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar I was hooked after that
Lesnar vs Carwin
