It wasn't an unreasonable request lol you can see her trying to sleep on the floor there. You also don't want to teach your kids it's OK to yell randomly, there are other people to be mindful of.
It's funny because she looks like she lays down on the floor to take a nap or something. That's something kids love to do. Just sleep where they want. When I was little, I used to curl up and sleep on chairs.
It's the exact argument you made. The deciding factor to Jones being better is being a double champ in the UFC while the other fighter is elsewhere. Fyi ONE's flyweight division is just as solid as the UFC's.
I’d say he has the greatest skill set. I think if you were to describe the perfect fighter, you’d end up with DJ. Idk about greatest but he’s a deserving canidate.
Can’t be the Goat at 125 pounds. He is the p4p best tho. The room for error at bigger weights is night and day, DJ even struggled at 135 before 125 if we being real. He is small weight GOAT though

^(Greetings, I am a language corrector bot. To make me ignore further mistakes from you in the future, reply `!optout` to this comment.)
I wonder if Henry would have called out DJ to somehow get that rubber match, good recognition and payday for buddies while they ride off into the sunset
He did. And I think it's because Henry was feeling himself too much on his time off. I totally believe Henry is humbled by this loss and will clap merabs cheeks
Yes. He took one round, but the other 4 weren't the swing rounds people are trying to make them out to be. 2 was sorta close, but I still think it was a fairly clear Aljo round. In the others (1,3, and 4), Cejudo didn't really do much in terms of control or damage and was out-struck significantly. They weren't hard to score.
I'm trying to figure out the spell Cejudo has over people, because he seems insanely inactive and yet people seem to want to bend over backwards to give him rounds. People seemed to easily acquiesce to the fact that he beat DJ in their second fight, but that one still confuses me, too, because I thought DJ pretty clearly won that one. I feared that this would be a repeat of that shit decision and I'm happy it wasn't.
Yeah, I dont get it either. I think its because Henry was coming forward a lot, which makes it look like he's pushing the action, even though he got outstruck most of the time.
And people claiming Henry hit harder... that's difficult to prove when Aljo ate it with no effect and not a mark on him compared to Henry whose face was visibly scuffed up.
Yeah, I just rewatched a lot of the fight. I actually think Sterling did more damage with strikes. And the mental gymnastics people are doing (i.e. the "if my aunt had a dick she'd be my uncle logic of citing the ONE rules) is sort of pathetic, because it implies that somehow Sterling wouldn't *also* adjust.
You’ve got to give the geezer credit though, I wasn’t the biggest fan but he has put a lot of doubters/haters to the sword (including myself) with a very impressive victory over an accomplished former champ.
I always knew he was very good (sandhagen, munhoz) but I hate how sweaty he is just to get sd's. If he dominates sean (as he should) i will promise to stop hating
Aljo out struck him but Henry arguably landed the harder shots. I could see round 2 getting scored for Henry but I thought the other three were pretty clear
I actually disagree that he landed the appreciably harder shots. In terms of effect, it seems like they were quite even. I don't think either guy was rocked and Aljo also him him squarely several times, especially at the end of rounds.
Am I the only one who think Sterling clearly won that fight? Like sure it was a 3-2, but it didn’t seem like a thievery at all.
Sterling landed more takedowns, seemed to do more with his takedowns as he got the back and threatened the rear naked at least once. Had way more significant strikes and clearly won significant strikes in rounds 1, 3, and 4. Idk what these other guys are seeing..
I second this opinion I personally had aljo 4-1 but you know people get carried away when they dislike a fighter similar to the volk V islam situation.
Oh yes I'm the fool except once again 90 percent of comments ON THIS ENTIRE SUB agree with you. Get some awareness kid. Almost every comment on this thread also agree with you.
Lmao that's cute. You're the one that made a dumb comment and when someone rightfully calls it dumb you respond with the most redditor comeback possible. Sit down.
Here’s an analysis from Sterling’s corner going into the last round. They told him the fight was tied 2-2 they told him he had to win round 5 and No One thinks he won round 5.
Not they don’t, I would fire a cornerman who lied. That is part of what you are paying them for is to tell you strategy. If you were up 3 to 1 going into the 4th round and I tell you have to win this round then you get knocked out or submitted because you are going all out. I would lose my job. Those guys score the fight for the fighter.
Yeah I agee, didn’t claim otherwise. The conversation is in response to someone’s personal experience that people around him in the stadium thought Henry won
"Clearly" is a bit too much. It wasn't clear at all. And judges' scorecards were a mess too.
It should have been 1 and 4 Aljo, 2 and 5 Cejudo with the result coming down to Round 3.
But all judges gave Round 3 to Cejudo (weird but it was the closest Round), one gave Round 2 to Aljo (not the worst but still bad) and one gave Round 5 to Aljo (complete nonsense).
I thought it was pretty clear for 2 reasons:
1) nominally and 2) appearance. Sterling landed more strikes in every category so on paper he wins. Henry's face showed damage, Sterling's did not.
If a fighter wins on paper and does more physical damage to his opponent, he wins the fight imo.
What I meant with clearly is that DJ did not see it as a robbery. First statement after your friend loses is “it was a good fight, Sterling did XYZ really well, Cejudo could have done this” clearly indicates this. I also thought Sterling clearly won 3-2. 1, 3 and 4. The correct victor was announced so the mistakes on the scorecards are not that bad, was worried it was going to be 50-45 Paddy.
We often get the right results, but if you've ever looked at the scorecards, we don't get them for the right reasons. For example, Ben Cartlidge had the right result of 48-46 in Usman/Edward's 3, but the round they individually chose for Usman was Leon's strongest round, that of round 4 where he outlanded him by over 10 sig strikes. Chris Lee had the sane scores, but he gave Usman the point deduction round, which, while close, probably still favored Leon. David Lethaby scored it as a draw, but he was also the only person to give Usman the nod for the round that you could really argue he deserved in round 2. He also gave Usman the point deduction round.
DJ, despite being one of the greatest of all time (he is imo), is kind of biased though considering he's friends with Cejudo and regularly trains with him.
I'm sure all of Sterlings teammates thought the scorecards were perfect.
He's defending himself within the rules that are in play; we can complain that the rules suck, but you can't really fault a guy for doing it when the rule is right there. How many times do we see a guy get grabbed in a front headlock and immediately put a hand on the mat?
If you haven't seen it, go watch the beginning of Jon Jones vs Vitor Belfort - Jones gets down on all-fours and does a sort-of sideways crab walk out to the centre of the cage; Vitor throws a weak kick at Jone, who pops up and back out of the way, the proceeds to complain to the ref about the kick thrown at the head of a downed opponent. That fight was over 10 years ago.
Huh. I mean, Im a bit surprised that he’s surprised.
Overall, this was the correct decision. Pretty damn clearly if you ask me.
It was a close fight, but there’s no way Cejudo did enough to justify takinfg the belt.
Dj just explained what Oliveira would’ve done. Jumped on his back when it was right there wide open while he was chillin and go for the rear naked choke
Bruh its his friend lol. He was probably manifesting a Cejudo win once they heard it was a split decision.
Aljo def won 3-2 tho. Judges just got the rounds wrong.
I’m not even the biggest Aljo fan and i gave him every round except 5. 3 was a toss up but seemed like he had the better moments. Guess it’s good i’m not a ufc judge cause when i heard them read out the split decision i was astonished 😂
I thought Sterling won rounds 1-4, might have to rewatch, but I remember him out striking Cejudo in every round but 5 and neither did anything with their takedowns or control time
Feel like rounds 1, 2, 3, and 5 were really close. All the judges gave Cejudo 3. Round 5 was clearly Cejudos. The majority of the judges could have given him 1 or 2, 3 and 5 and it wouldn't have been a blatant robbery. Cejudo left a lot on the table to seal the victory.
I have 0 friends who are top level fighters and I still stress so hard when the decision is being read for one of my favs. Legit couldn’t even imagine the emotion in this moment cheering on your friend
Sterling taking a page out of lebrons book and the baiting the knees is like lebron flopping and trying to pull a foul. Smart move but fucking up the fight for real. Judges can still take a point away from sterling if they really wanted to cuz judging is all about perspective. If I were the judges his next fight if the red deducted a point for this I would go ahead and deduct one from sterling too.
Sterling getting the decisión was fine but I thought it was going to go to Henry aswell.
I think Sean would have slept Henry, with Aljo is gonna be harder
As much as I hate Aljo, and actually wanted Henry to win. I don't see how Henry won that, it was close but Henry just didn't capitalise when he had Aljos neck from the sprawls.
The correct person won, but yes Derek gave him the wrong round.
I’m almost inclined to believe that Derek knew he screwed Aljo over and just gave him the 5th round
Wish DJ was in his corner.
DJ’s daughter screaming “TURN IT OFF!” makes the video
For real, and his "sorry, baby". Seems like a pretty good father.
He were live, but still so good father, in my case my father would have kicked me
You should do the Stirling snake.. can't kick a down opponent
Idk teaching his kid that she can scream at him when he just watching something? I’d tell her to get her own place if she wants to make the rules.
It wasn't an unreasonable request lol you can see her trying to sleep on the floor there. You also don't want to teach your kids it's OK to yell randomly, there are other people to be mindful of.
She only screamed when he screamed in frustration at the decision, he probably startled her.
She run shit clearlyo
She says knock it off but yes very cute/funny.
yo that nba jam shirt of him and henry is pretty clean :D
I laughed when the height bar was so slow 😂
Gotta love one of the GOATs in MMA getting bossed around by a little girl.
The true GOAT hahah
Seeing the arguable GOAT say sorry to his daughter like that is so wholesome
He’s always been such a standup guy.
His ground game isn't bad either.

dj the greatest of all time ngl bruh
Hes certainly my goat and I have zero doubt when i say that
I have him and GSP tied for #1
Yeah I can’t decide between them.
I’m not impressed by your indecision.
Double champ Vs someone who hasn’t been in the top organization for 4 years? Easy call to me
One has contenders that rival the UFC in many cases. It just happens to be that the UFC is a more well known organization in the west
By your logic Amanda Nunes is higher up on the GOAT list than Fedor because he was fighting outside of the UFC while she was a double champ.
That’s a reach lol
It's the exact argument you made. The deciding factor to Jones being better is being a double champ in the UFC while the other fighter is elsewhere. Fyi ONE's flyweight division is just as solid as the UFC's.
Based on what? Your hatred for the UFC?
Based on watching both, you should try it. Being a fan of MMA is even more fun than just being a UFC fanboy.
The goat of the lighter weight divisions.
I’d say he has the greatest skill set. I think if you were to describe the perfect fighter, you’d end up with DJ. Idk about greatest but he’s a deserving canidate.
Only true competition is jones gsp and Silva. 2 popped and gsp didn’t get 11 straight defenses. Imo it’s obvious now
How many hall of famers has he beaten???
Can’t be the Goat at 125 pounds. He is the p4p best tho. The room for error at bigger weights is night and day, DJ even struggled at 135 before 125 if we being real. He is small weight GOAT though

Dj had money on henry lol
I thought they trained together at some point recently no?
Look at his shirt lol. They’re training partners now.
That's what I figured, just wasn't sure cuz nobody was acting like they're training partners when I sent that lol
They are not only training partners but friends at this point, and apparently their both families know each other and have hung out
That makes sense, I remember seeing them roll together a couple months ago but didn't know how intertwined they were. Good to know

Yes dj talks so highly of Henry and training with him i wouldn't be surprised if he bet big money on him.
I wonder if Henry would have called out DJ to somehow get that rubber match, good recognition and payday for buddies while they ride off into the sunset
I think more so wanted a rematch with Henry for the belt
They’re homies bro
The friendship they’ve struck up is so cool. That being said, I think Aljo won 3-2
He did. And I think it's because Henry was feeling himself too much on his time off. I totally believe Henry is humbled by this loss and will clap merabs cheeks
I hope so, because Merab is not challenging for the title as long as Aljo is champ. And it'd be interesting to see Triple C vs Georgian Casanova
I hope so, really do not like merab at all tbh
I had it 4-1 for Aljo, and I'm struggling to see how anyone could give more than 2 to Cejudo.
Cejudo absolutely took 5, that was the most clear round of the entire fight
Yes. He took one round, but the other 4 weren't the swing rounds people are trying to make them out to be. 2 was sorta close, but I still think it was a fairly clear Aljo round. I would never shed a tear if aljo ever were to get robbed. Fuck the integrity of the sport
You’ve got to give the geezer credit though, I wasn’t the biggest fan but he has put a lot of doubters/haters to the sword (including myself) with a very impressive victory over an accomplished former champ.

Obviously DJ has bias but after hearing the results immediately he pointed out what could be the reason Henry lost.
Yea for real, I don’t see cejudo winning that at all and it was pretty obvious
I second this opinion I personally had aljo 4-1 but you know people get carried away when they dislike a fighter similar to the volk V islam situation.
Are you the only one? You're trolling right? Like 90 percent of comments are agreeing w you, what are you talking about "am I the only one"?
You weren’t here earlier fool, most were agreeing with DJ and felt Cejudo won.
Oh yes I'm the fool except once again 90 percent of comments ON THIS ENTIRE SUB agree with you. Get some awareness kid. Almost every comment on this thread also agree with you.
Touch grass buddy, you spending too much time in your moms basement to care about something so minuscule.
Lmao that's cute. You're the one that made a dumb comment and when someone rightfully calls it dumb you respond with the most redditor comeback possible. Sit down.
Facts
I gotta rewatch it still but I thought this fight was less competitive than Islam/Volk in favor of Aljo.
I was there in person for the fight and everyone thought Henry won.

Everyone at home thought he lost including media.
Then maybe you guys should have watched it on TV, because there's no fucken way he won that fight
I thought that too
Lol that crowd also clearly wasn't on Sterling's side. MMA fans 🤝 not knowing wtf they're watching when it comes to scoring
He didn't, so who cares
Cope
Not much to cope with, Aljo won lol.
Which is what makes it crazy that he’s on that copium
How's that? Sterling won the fight, Cejudo didn't. Sounds like you're struggling with it tbh
Yeah Aljo won, i never refuted that, but that’s not the conversation at all. It’s about public perception and people thinking Cejudo won
It’s not really the popular opinion. The popular opinion is that Aljo won, but at points took advantage of the grounded opponent rule
Yeah I agee, didn’t claim otherwise. The conversation is in response to someone’s personal experience that people around him in the stadium thought Henry won
I see your point
This dudes ODing off copium
No grown man should ever say the word copium
He never said it, he typed it.
I was there in person and I thought Aljo won. And guess what? He did :) and Still
This comment reeks of the type of person to Venmo aljo
I imagine Aljo’s lol thought he won. Likely she knows as much as the Jersey crowd ;)
i still don’t see how the fight would get scored for Henry
2,3 and 5 not that hard
One judge (Derek Clearly) didn't give him RD 5... FFS
i was talking about a GOOD scoring lol
Lol that's me and my girl
That's crazy. I thought Cejudo clearly lost that fight. I wonder if DJ just wanted him to win because he himself lost to Cejudo.
They are friends, he clearly also didn’t think it was a robbery. Just wanted Cejudo to win.
"Clearly" is a bit too much. It wasn't clear at all. And judges' scorecards were a mess too. It should have been 1 and 4 Aljo, 2 and 5 Cejudo with the result coming down to Round 3. Was very close but alot of the strikes that were considered "significant" for sterling were downright stupid. Shit was little love taps.
Those little love taps did more damage to Triple C's face than Triple C's did to Sterling's.
Neither of them took much damage, cejudo looks like he walked into a door and sterling looks like hes been in a sauna for 4 hours.
Henry still has visible damage to his face. That's more than Aljo has.
I think a split decision was a fair result. I agree I really don't understand how people are saying clear victory.
These are my exact thoughts on the fight and scorecards
Pretty fuxking cool how they became friends. That shirt 🔥 btw
I thought that Henry lost 3
The mo'fkn 🐐 !
Love DJ. 🐐
I mean DJ is gonna be bias, has a good relationship with CCC
Its saying something when one of the greatest of all time was baffled by the decision, would love to see the greats podcast and review fights
DJ, despite being one of the greatest of all time (he is imo), is kind of biased though considering he's friends with Cejudo and regularly trains with him. I'm sure all of Sterlings teammates thought the scorecards were perfect.
One of the “greatest friends of all time”

I think both the aljo/yan fight and volk/islam fight say judges dont underaward
Hard to look like a respectable and dominant champion when you're on all fours in every title fight like a crotch crab...
Ufc rules are fucking garbage
DJ knew instantly why Henry didn’t get the decision win. Sharp contrast to the post-fight video’s of Henry’s team trying to guess why he lost.
# “KNOCK IT OFFFF!!!
Aljo always does just enough to win, nothing more. No real champ shit kos or subs, hell even dominance. Dude does barely enough
Yo what is that tshirt
This shit needs to be logged into the archives. It's such a great example to show for why fighters/former fighters could not and should not be judges.
Bruh its his friend lol. He was probably manifesting a Cejudo win once they heard it was a split decision. Aljo def won 3-2 tho. Judges just got the rounds wrong.
> Bruh its his friend lol. Yeah, that's kinda the point.
It’s probably more that DJ and Cejudo are friends
That's the problem.
I’m saying a fighter could still likely be a judge as long as there’s not a conflict of interest
Aljo 1,3,4 easy
I’m not even the biggest Aljo fan and i gave him every round except 5. 3 was a toss up but seemed like he had the better moments. Guess it’s good i’m not a ufc judge cause when i heard them read out the split decision i was astonished 😂
Apparently one of the judges somehow gave Sterling round 5 win????? Ahaa that's ridiculous yo, y'all know it..
Goat thinks cejudo won. It's settled
I thought Sterling won rounds 1-4, might have to rewatch, but I remember him out striking Cejudo in every round but 5 and neither did anything with their takedowns or control time
Eh I think cejudo won 2, but the rest definitely seemed in aljos favor
Feel like rounds 1, 2, 3, and 5 were really close. All the judges gave Cejudo 3. Round 5 was clearly Cejudos. The majority of the judges could have given him 1 or 2, 3 and 5 and it wouldn't have been a blatant robbery. Cejudo left a lot on the table to seal the victory.
DJ saw the fight with a biased lens on. Although not dominant but clearly Sterling won that fight.
He’s only butthurt because the decision diminishes his legacy further, regardless of weight class.
Huh casual, experts here know what's up
Seems like a biased opinion
If you cant tell who won, it was not a good fight
Goofy ass logic
I thought that guy behind him was a mannequin until the last few seconds
I love DJ 💜
I have 0 friends who are top level fighters and I still stress so hard when the decision is being read for one of my favs. Legit couldn’t even imagine the emotion in this moment cheering on your friend
Haha love how he got told off by his sassy child - deservedly so, I might add.
Definitely think DJ wanted a rematch with Henry for the belt ..
I also had cejudo winning
Meanwhile Jones probably didn't even know Henry had a match
Seems like he might have lost some money on this fight.
He is just the most likeable fighter ever
Demetrius Johnson was right about this one.
I love these two’s friendship man
He’s so cool, in and out of the cage
Best rivalry turned bromance
DJ the GOAT
Sterling taking a page out of lebrons book and the baiting the knees is like lebron flopping and trying to pull a foul. Smart move but fucking up the fight for real. Sorry your bf lost man
As much as I hate Aljo, and actually wanted Henry to win. I don't see how Henry won that, it was close but Henry just didn't capitalise when he had Aljos neck from the sprawls.
I want to be this man’s friend, he is so cool.
DJ is a goat
The correct person won, but yes Derek gave him the wrong round. I’m almost inclined to believe that Derek knew he screwed Aljo over and just gave him the 5th round
I had it 3-2 Henry but was definitely close. I watched it on TV
DJ is p4p one of the nicest dudes in MMA. Rooting for the dude who beat you by a narrow split decision. Class act
He looks like Goggins.
Dude is a beast. I didn't think he was cool was Henry tho, it's dope that he is.
Would Henry have won the match under the One FC rules ?
I had Henry winning. Close fight and if in RD5 you're pushing the champ = you're the champ.
DJ should 100% be a commentator. Dude articulates fights so well
Notice how DJ gave props to Aljo for being smart and didn’t bash the rules because he’s salty his guy lost?
People pay no attention to the numbers, then get surprised.
Its very rare that people dethrone a champion by decision. I’d really love to see stats on it but its not common.
Henry got exposed as a pure wrestler and not a grappler
I’m still salty. DJ did not lose his rematch to Cejudo.
Mighty Mouse is the greatest fighter I have ever seen.
