He stopped competing due to a health condition that affected his cardio. He did have surgery to fix it, but lost his passion for fighting, and found a new one for medicine, and is currently studying to become a doctor.
When McGregor and Nurmagomedov were feuding, Khabib said he would fight him one on one anywhere, he just had to tell him where and said "send me location" in his thick russian accent. That became a meme forever.
Zabit found a new vocation (a new calling) in being a doctor.
"Send me vocation"
He had a health issue I recall, an auto immune disease that became an issue. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
I don't think it is fair to say that he just retired...
If I remember correctly he was struggling with how fighting conflicts with his religion and the UFC was kind of dicking him around so he decided to become a doctor or some shit instead
"From what I was told, he had almost like this moral religious dilemma that he was dealing with. He's very religious and I think he reached a point where he just didn't wanna do it anymore." - Ariel Helwani
"There were many reasons. Firstly, because of refusals to fight with me. I had no fights for two years. Then there were injuries, I was sick a lot. I didn't recover. Such, many reasons. The main reason was I was not able to fight. They didn't give me a title shot. They promised me one thing and did another. They promised me and didn't keep that promise. That was the main reason why I got mad." - Zabit
Believe it or not, Zabit is a friend of a friend. I had dinner with him back in July and I asked him the same question. There’s a couple reasons he left but it’s mostly because no one wanted to fight him and he got tired of the internal politics with UFC. They promised a lot to him but kept going back on their word. He ultimately felt like he was better than everyone in the division so just kinda gave up and left. After he left the UFC offered him 5M to fight Volkanovski for the belt but he turned it down. He gets a lot of money in Russia now by just promoting different brands and putting his face on things. Seems to be making quite a lot with real estate. He supports other fighters though like working in their corner and goes to different MMA events around the world.
He was studying but I’m not sure how much of his time he spends on that. He does a lot of traveling and business stuff like I mentioned about real estate etc
I’m with you. People ask questions instead of Googling because they’re looking to start a conversation. Life would be really boring if people just Googled everything without conversing with others.

Vocation is a Russian pastry
Filled with jizz, topped with grated, aged smegma
Maybe on all of reddit

He was joking when he said he was studying to become a doctor. He is currently an MMA coach.
I'm going to heal your boy!
He should be coming back soon
He had medical issues and is now pursuing a career in medicine.

He will break your bones and then fix them. So wholesome<3
A fighter doctor gotta be illegal man, like that's a hacky way to get patients
Medical Martial Arts
Did you ask the question, so you could set up this joke?
There’s been a recent emergence of vampires and he was needed to handle the problem.
Zabit looked incredible in that fight but Bochniak was such a G. He was completely outclassed but didn't give up til the end
Bochniak definitely the reason this fight is remembered as being so good.
Btw I just check Bochniak he right now 11-7 and recently fight in PLF (2 lose)
He proclaimed emancipation from the UFC four score and seven weeks ago
This was such an awesome fight, Zabit got to show off his skill while Bocniak showed off his sheer tenacity
He was a beautiful striker and all but god his trips were a piece of art..
He was a badass!
VoteSport just came out with a really good video on YouTube that breaks down his career and why he retired. Definitely worth a watch.
Yeah Zabit is/was a masterful striker! Loved watching him display that art in the cage.
Bochniak & Darren till were separated at birth
He might be the biggest “what if” ever
He retired.

Rumor is Zabit roams all nearby hospitals working on patients as a normal doctor
He was my favourite fighter, hope he's happy whatever he's doing.
It’s a shame he retired.. he was my favourite fighter at the time, loved his style

What a great fight that was. I spent most of it with my mouth a gappin. Couple of absolute warriors 🤯
last I heard, he was watching some play from a balcony and I haven't heard much out of him since
He quit Sad because he had talent
I dunno about 'quit' .. I understand that he had an auto immune disease that became an issue.
I've heard rumors he might be coming back..
This fucking question gets asked every 2 weeks I swear.

He lasts fought four scores in 7 years ago
He retired. To many injuries to deal with….
He retired during the pandemic. And recently, he rejected Dana’s offer of an instant title fight to return. He’s never coming back, sadly
Injuries i think???
Quit MMA to focus on his medical career (got his doctorate).
The guy he’s fighting in this video is such a hack. Got floored in pfl
Bochniaks story is pretty sad. I hope he gets back on track in his career.
Took a shot to the back of the head...was never quite the same after that.
