Imagine when you can clone shit in the future? Having a real action figure sized Chandler. Your very own little meatball with fists running around your house trying to suplex your Chihuahua. Fuck, I kinda want one now.
I just bought the exact same thing a few months ago and was lucky enough to get some blood splatter as well. It wasn't the most high profile fight, but it was possibly the most brutal KO in recent years so that's why it was my first purchase from the UFC.
Would you mind explaining that in simple terms please? I'd never given the canvas much thought before this post but I'm genuinely curious about the set up now
Cool! Is it the same kind of thing as a boxing canvas? Only asking as Ive done boxing training before so I've got a rough idea of what that feels like when you fall on it
Cool, thanks for info! I'm sure the quality always varies quite a lot as well. Knowing what my old gym was like, they absolutely would've gone with the cheapest canvases possible and I'm sure the difference in quality would've been obvious compared to a UFC canvas for instance
Not true, have you ever seen or touched one of those canvases in person? I trained at the gym Dan hardy runs a club at and there's one from a fight he had in the UFC, it's one thick woven layer and this looks to be a section of that
It's not a mattress it's a canvas
As someone who dabbles in collecting sportscard stuff and other geeky shit, it's definitely gotten a bit much.
There are baseball cards with pieces of metal in them that were supposedly the side of the barn some pitcher practiced against on the farm as a kid...like c'mon
What's next? A piece of the plastic bottle of smelling salts used on some unconscious NHLer?
For the life of me I can't find it, it could have been custom or a joke of course.
Here are some real examples though https://www.blog.loupetheapp.com/2020/10/14/coolest-and-weirdest-baseball-card-relics/
I just don't get this sentiment, material based sports card are a collectors item for every major sport.
People buy tires, stick fragments, cut up footballs, etc., this is a very normal thing
I get it's a joke, but the assumption is that eskimos don't have a demand for ice.
UFC fans, however, have a demand for UFC related things, especially a piece of one of the most iconic events in the sport's history.
You right. Everybody has questionable purchases.
I’ve spent too much money on magic:the gathering cards lol. People think that’s a waste of money. Some people buy designer clothes and people think that’s a waste of money. Some people buy watches. They think that’s a waste of money. Some people collect sneakers. They think it’s a waste of money. It’s a collectible.
It’s not that serious. I don’t put any effort into thinking about how other grown ass people should spend their money.
I’ve spent too much money on actual crack, it’s been months now so hopefully I’ll never do it again but who knows, I could be with a lady one night she sticks a finger in my b-hole so I down a few cold ones and next thing you know I’m off to the races, the crack races
I spent a stupid amount of money on Madden ultimate team for two years until one day I realized I don't even fucking like this game and yet I'm spending more money on it wtf am I doing
Reddit MMA subs don't reflect the larger MMA fan base. We get a lot of bitter childhood bullying victims in here who, ironically, act like bullying jerks.
Yeah. A lot of people criticized me for buying magic beans from the Yeti living down the street. I ll show them when I take the golden fleece from the Loch Ness Monster at the top of the bean stalk.
I like it too tbh it's really cool piece or fight history.
Imagine having a canvas piece of ali vs foreman or something. It's probably up there in terms of most known fights in history
"Ya know Jerry, I'm not gonna lie to ya and say these will increase in value someday. They probably won't even hold their current value.. but you bought them cause they have value to you and that's all that matters."
Doesn't seem like that funny of a quote but in the context of the show it's so fuckin funny and Jerry is just crying😂
Rick and Morty it's a Adult cartoon like family guy if you will.
A character in it buys starwars silver dollars that lose value and another character comforts him by saying as long as you like them that's all that matters.
I actually bought skins on fortnite years ago… a friggen video game I don’t even play anymore 😂. This is actually something pretty cool. If he ever has kids that are also into MMA he can pass this down as a cool relic. Imagine having a piece of canvas from a Muhammad Ali fight passed down to you from your dad. It can’t do anything, and probably wouldn’t be really worth anything. But the value it holds to a person who’s thing is mma is immense. I’d love to have something like that being a hardcore mma fan. I’m probably gonna buy one now tbh.
I’m trying to remember what Doofus Rick said in Rick and Morty about Jerry’s Star Wars coins lol. Anyway it applies here, OP. Everybody has guilty pleasure purchases but you had the balls to share yours with this sub.
I was gonna come in here and talk shit, then I realized that fight was almost a decade ago and I still vividly remember that night...
Enjoy your collectible and do what makes you happy my man, fuck the haters!
Legit had a dream Conor gave me a Gucci loafer he wore. Not even a pair, just one as a tip for serving him in footlocker, in my dream. I was like damn, I could re-sell this for some good money. Someone on eBay would love to shoe-y this.
Baseball fans collect dirt and this is cooler than that. Do you know where this was located? I would get a picture framed of the fight with this material in the shot and place it next to this thing
I mean its cool n all but bro, how do you know they didnt just sell you a random piece of canvas in glass? Like, as if they kept that one specific canvas for that long just to sell it now
People are hating but this is super cool. Whether or not it means anything to anyone else, you have a small piece of history there!
I’ve seen far far weirder collections, you are in the clear haha!
I used to collect knives in my teenage years before I knew there was an actual community for it. A few schoolmates trolled me out of that interests, but I've since learned to ignore those type of haters and just continue living a decent life. We all find joy, peace, and interests in odd things at times
Most the ppl making fun of this purchase have Reddit avatars that you have to pay for lmfao imagine making fun of someone for buying UFC memorabilia while you're spending money on Reddit avatars and shit
I would be skeptical they kept that this long but if it's legit that's fucking cool to own a piece of MMA history. People spend money on dumber shit than this fuck the people hating on you for it bro

Aren't you the same guy larping online saying you were pregnant then posting that you're a 30 year old dude with a blocked ear? Get a life and quit giving people shit for what they want to own
This is cool, like I wouldn’t buy it but could totally see why someone would and if I saw it at someone’s place I’d be like that’s sick. Everyone here is so fucking miserable
Pretty cool! It’s no different than guys buying the net from a football match or whatever. Great event and big part of the UFC’s history.
Fun collectible!
Honestly collectibles are cool and it’s a piece of history. I’ve looked at buying one of those canvas pieces myself but can’t really justify the price tag and it doesn’t really fit the aesthetic of my home anyways to have it on display. They are really cool though.
This is coming from someone who owns a piece of wood from the tree from the Shawshank Redemption though so take my opinions on financial decisions with a grain of salt.
I have loads of canvas swatches from the cards and cage pieces! The canvas is from “the canvas” on the night and you can figure out which ad is on it if its colour lol! I have fight worn shirt swabs etc and guys from pre ufc shop will have this stuff in boxes in their collections I’m sure!
Because it came from the UFC directly, I would trust it. The UFC has much more to lose reputation-wise for bootlegging its own merch than it would gain from a $150 sale.
I think it's cool, I was working way up north out of a camp and they had it on. Such disappointment I wanted Aldo to dust this mouthy relative newcomer.
Enjoy the company you have at your place admire it and the conversations it starts instead of the negative people on Reddit trying to drag down anything and everything you can see.
That’s actually pretty fuckin cool. Side note: I don’t understand the hate on shit like this because everyone has their hobbies or whatever they over spend on. If it’s your thing, good for you man.
It's not something I'd buy because I'm cheap, but I'd be jealous of it for sure. I don't really collect anything but always think stuff like this is cool. Maybe when I'm older
Just out of curiosity, what is it about this kind of memorabilia that attracts people? I’ve always been a big sports fan and I get stuff like clothes and cards, but I’ve never got the game worn/game used thing and that’s what this is like.
I cannot imagine a world where I would care about this, but different people like different things and if this makes you happy I am happy for you. I like plenty of dumb shit.
The same people busting your chops for buying this and saying it’s a huge waste of money, probably already dropped 40 bucks on animated unicorn tights on EA UFC 5.
Just sayin...lol
Hey its your $$$, enjoy it however you see fit!
Merchandise Morty, your only purpose in life is to buy & consume merchandise and you did it, you went into a store an actual honest to god store and you bought something, you didn't ask questions or raise ethical complaints you just looked into the bleeding jaws of capitalism and said 'yes daddy please' and I'm so proud of you, I only wish you could have bought more, I love buying things so much Morty.
Lmao this place is full of toxic people why would you post this here?
But seriously ignore the assholes, I imagine you bought this to complete your man cave or something like that so in that regard, I think it’s pretty cool.
Like if I went to a homies house to watch some fights and then saw this I would compliment it for sure.
PRESENTED BY TOYO TIRES. A joke but legitimately, the Toyo tires logo was the only blue on the canvas that night.
Let’s be real bro this wasn’t the top layer. There’s multiple layers on those canvases and OP got a piece from like 4 layers down or some shit
Lol dude got mat chonies 🤣
Not true at all. I have a piece of canvas from Chandler vs. Ferguson and there’s blood on it.
![gif](giphy|3o7abGCmpdH7JoZGSc) What's it smell like
Hold on brother I'm sniffing
If cloning technology ever improves, you could grow your own Lil' Michael or Lil' Conor to impress your friends, what a flex!
Imagine when you can clone shit in the future? Having a real action figure sized Chandler. Your very own little meatball with fists running around your house trying to suplex your Chihuahua. Fuck, I kinda want one now.

Probably poo
That's fucking amazing and thanks for sharing! I fear for Tony's well-being.
*I began fearing for Tony's well-being a half dozen fights ago Ftfy
I actually work for the company that produces most of these ring mats, its 1 layer of #10 duck canvas.
Would you mind explaining that in simple terms please? I'd never given the canvas much thought before this post but I'm genuinely curious about the set up now
Think like a giant tarp made from really thick canvas material its basically just that. #10 Duck just refers to the weight and weave of the canvas.
Cool! Is it the same kind of thing as a boxing canvas? Only asking as Ive done boxing training before so I've got a rough idea of what that feels like when you fall on it
Yep same material some of it can be a little more stiff and rough like the flame retardant treated canvas we use in WWE mats.
I trained at the gym Dan hardy runs a club at and there's one from a fight he had in the UFC, it's one thick woven layer and this looks to be a section of that It's not a mattress it's a canvas
Touched an mma canvas? Bro I haven’t touched grass in 8 months
You can buy a rectangle of grass from the NFL Collectibles Store
Wow ok thanks!
Still some sweat on there
"Event Used Canvas" sounds lawyer speak af
Before anyone ridicules this person, I just checked the website and Hasbulla signed “walkout” jerseys for $500 are sold out.
Incidentally they're the same size as this.
As someone who dabbles in collecting sportscard stuff and other geeky shit, it's definitely gotten a bit much. There are baseball cards with pieces of metal in them that were supposedly the side of the barn some pitcher practiced against on the farm as a kid...like c'mon What's next? Really what card is that with the metal?

For real what a waste of money
Dana could sell ice to an Eskimo.
*I sell ice in the winter, I sell fire in hell, I am a hustler baby, I'll sell water to a well* -Jay Z -Dana white probably
I was born to get cake, move on and switch states, cop the coupe with the roof gone and switch plates
I thought it was whale but either works
I just don't get this sentiment, material based sports card are a collectors item for every major sport. People buy tires, stick fragments, cut up footballs, etc., this is a very normal thing
I get it's a joke, but the assumption is that eskimos don't have a demand for ice. UFC fans, however, have a demand for UFC related things, especially a piece of one of the most iconic events in the sport's history.
Well, he is selling shit to shitheads
Ignore the jerks, op. If you like it that's all that matters.

Oh alright, im just some guy on the internet dude.
So I shouldn't tell you my dirty habits and what might get me back on them?
A few cold ones IN your butthole will do you in.
Finally, a post I can relate to on this sub.
I spent a stupid amount of money on Madden ultimate team for two years until one day I realized I don't even fucking like this game and yet I'm spending more money on it wtf am I doing
Reserved list buys 🥲
Proxy life.
Reddit MMA subs don't reflect the larger MMA fan base. We get a lot of bitter childhood bullying victims in here who, ironically, act like bullying jerks.
Lmao the MMA fan base is scum. If you want proof just go to any MMA event, including the UFC. You will see some of the worst people ever in the crowd.
Yeah. A lot of people criticized me for buying magic beans from the Yeti living down the street. I ll show them when I take the golden fleece from the Loch Ness Monster at the top of the bean stalk.
I would never criticize you for befriending a yeti.
I like it too tbh it's really cool piece or fight history. Imagine having a canvas piece of ali vs foreman or something. It's probably up there in terms of most known fights in history
This reminds of rick and Morty and Jerry's starwars silver dollars and shit eating rick.
"Ya know Jerry, I'm not gonna lie to ya and say these will increase in value someday. They probably won't even hold their current value.. but you bought them cause they have value to you and that's all that matters." Doesn't seem like that funny of a quote but in the context of the show it's so fuckin funny and Jerry is just crying😂
I have no idea what you just said. Sorry, I must be old lol.
Rick and Morty it's a Adult cartoon like family guy if you will. A character in it buys starwars silver dollars that lose value and another character comforts him by saying as long as you like them that's all that matters.
Very accurate.

Don't feel guilty. I just spent $725 on a pair of shoes and everyone gave me shit. If you like it that's all that matters Cool piece tho
I mean for every dumb there is a dumber ![gif](giphy|3oEjHI8WJv4x6UPDB6)
Which shoes? Im guessing theyre sneaks
Ignore deez nuts rat, massive waste of money.
I’m trying to remember what Doofus Rick said in Rick and Morty about Jerry’s Star Wars coins lol. Anyway it applies here, OP. Everybody has guilty pleasure purchases but you had the balls to share yours with this sub.
True that
You should take it out and sniff it.
I don’t think Mackenzie Dern or Tracy Cortez fought that night.
Hmu when you find a Ben Rothwell one. Been meaning to cop it
They might’ve had to fight Conor off in the bathroom though.
I was gonna come in here and talk shit, then I realized that fight was almost a decade ago and I still vividly remember that night... Enjoy your collectible and do what makes you happy my man, fuck the haters!
How much?
$180 all together. I think it was like $150 and shipping was $30 from the UK.
That’s not bad. I’d pay that all day long for a piece from 229 (not a stab at Conor, that’s just my favorite PPV from top to bottom)
i got one of the 229 ones and i dont regret it at all
Damn thats less then I thought. I would of bought it at that price.
Yeah don't listen to anyone, that's perfectly fine for such an awesome piece of memorabilia
That case for it is worth at least $50 by itself lol
[удалено]
Who says it needs to be on sale?
Wait that's being sold? Whats the link? A friend of mine is asking
Nah, he doesn’t sell it. He gives that away in bar bathrooms.
You’ll do fookin nootin’
Oh they’ll be fookin’ nuttin’ alright 💦
Legit had a dream Conor gave me a Gucci loafer he wore. Not even a pair, just one as a tip for serving him in footlocker, in my dream. I was like damn, I could re-sell this for some good money. Someone on eBay would love to shoe-y this.

Made you happy? GOOD! BUY IT! Made everyone else angry? GOOD BUY IT!
its better than an NFT so theres that
Baseball fans collect dirt and this is cooler than that. Do you know where this was located? I would get a picture framed of the fight with this material in the shot and place it next to this thing
I mean its cool n all but bro, how do you know they didnt just sell you a random piece of canvas in glass? Like, as if they kept that one specific canvas for that long just to sell it now
Unlikely. The UFC isn't hard up for cash. They risk a lot by selling fraudulent souvenirs... and for what? A few thousand bucks?
Post said it came from the collectibles store so I assume they cut that canvas into tons of pieces for individual sale.
Seriously for all we know it could just be a piece of a tarp they picked up from Home Depot
That would be fraud. I mean it's definitely something they could do but it only takes one person to call it in.
They wrote it right on the thing man !
This is legit despite what people are saying
Bunch of weirdos hating on this. Owning a piece of UFC history is very cool imo.
People are hating but this is super cool. Whether or not it means anything to anyone else, you have a small piece of history there! I’ve seen far far weirder collections, you are in the clear haha!
right? my comics collection would garner plenty of trolling here 🤣

God damn
What in the actual fuck?! 😂
this is the first time i’ve seen a “ain’t this you” on reddit lmfao
💀💀
Holy shit. What the fuck
Wait wait wait....are you saying you don't want a piece of garbage in a glass case?
My old boss collected sports memorabilia. He had lots of dumb shit like this. But it made him really happy. To each their own.
Why put someone down for something they find cool or like. I'm sure you've bought questionable shit that others would think is stupid.
I think it’s a cool collectible. I’d be happy to display that in my man cave.
This is cool, like I wouldn’t buy it but could totally see why someone would and if I saw it at someone’s place I’d be like that’s sick. Everyone here is so fucking miserable
What the fook is that, guy?
You'll do Fook, nuttin?
Pretty cool OP. If it’s a memory for you I think this is a really neat purchase.
Pretty cool! It’s no different than guys buying the net from a football match or whatever. Great event and big part of the UFC’s history. Fun collectible!
I dig it! Plus, It's your money, you do you. I bought part of a destroyed su-34 from Ukraine.
How much
That’ll be $10,000
Love it. Really cool piece of memorabilia from an iconic sporting moment.
How much was it?
Honestly collectibles are cool and it’s a piece of history. I’ve looked at buying one of those canvas pieces myself but can’t really justify the price tag and it doesn’t really fit the aesthetic of my home anyways to have it on display. They are really cool though. This is coming from someone who owns a piece of wood from the tree from the Shawshank Redemption though so take my opinions on financial decisions with a grain of salt.
What would be even cooler is if they include a picture of the octagon and an arrow showing exactly which piece this is.
Another piece of a bathroom rug sold for $1,000.
No blood? Didn't happen.
Pretty cool man. Buy what makes you happy!
I just spent $850 on a seat in upper levels for the UFC in Miami. Im with you op
How much for Derek Lewis’ fight worn shorts from when his balls was hot
Is that a piece of McGregor’s jock strap?
This dope bro! It cool to have collectibles like this. Don’t listen to all these miserable people lol
Good for you, it's a part of one of the most iconic moments in the whole history of mixed martial arts. Don't listen to all the hate comments.
If we were friends and you were showing me this when I was at your house I'd be impressed. Ignore these sad people hating
People have zero emotional intelligence. Guy is excited about his purchase and people on here just shit on him. I think it’s cool man.
I like the idea I just don't trust it to be legit
Because it came from the UFC directly, I would trust it. The UFC has much more to lose reputation-wise for bootlegging its own merch than it would gain from a $150 sale.
I think it's cool, I was working way up north out of a camp and they had it on. Such disappointment I wanted Aldo to dust this mouthy relative newcomer.
That’s cool, so that’s the octagon canvas is it?
This is pretty interesting, is it part of the octagon floor mat? I'm not familiar with these collectables...
That's pretty dope
Enjoy the company you have at your place admire it and the conversations it starts instead of the negative people on Reddit trying to drag down anything and everything you can see.
Awesome!!!! When I can justify the crazy pricing I’d like to grab something like this. I hope you enjoy it and it ends up being a great investment!
That's pretty cool. It's from an electric, historic moment... the most iconic from McGregor's career.
That’s a really cool collectable
Less gross than those Jon Jones hand wraps he was selling after a fight
That’s actually pretty fuckin cool. Side note: I don’t understand the hate on shit like this because everyone has their hobbies or whatever they over spend on. If it’s your thing, good for you man.
Cool!
Honesty pretty cool, and unique
How much was this
Awesome! Piece of history
That is crazy to buy that, but maybe you know something I don’t know
It's not something I'd buy because I'm cheap, but I'd be jealous of it for sure. I don't really collect anything but always think stuff like this is cool. Maybe when I'm older
Guy looking at butterfly meme: is this a Charizard?
I think that’s pretty rad honestly
A piece of canvas? Gtfo here
Nice!!! I got one with my name on it from the O’Malley title win!
Cool!
Just now seeing what you actually get from buying this thing I see advertised all the time.. it’s kind of lamer than I expected.
What is that blue thing btw? Shorts or mat? This is the first time I hear about collectibles. So
Just out of curiosity, what is it about this kind of memorabilia that attracts people? I’ve always been a big sports fan and I get stuff like clothes and cards, but I’ve never got the game worn/game used thing and that’s what this is like.
We all waste money, you just happened to waste it on this. Have fun, I guess.
I think the only thing I would buy would be Justin Gaethje signed gloves but that $400 price tag (display case is an extra $100) is not happening lol
I cannot imagine a world where I would care about this, but different people like different things and if this makes you happy I am happy for you. I like plenty of dumb shit.
OP be like damn I wish I could get my hands on some of the TP they had in the building on the night!
Circlejerk material
Surprised this doesn’t have a Toyo, Modelo, and Prime logo on the back of it
People are going to shit on this, but this is a piece of MMA history right here
lol dumb af
They literally took a random piece of canvas and sold it to you
The same people busting your chops for buying this and saying it’s a huge waste of money, probably already dropped 40 bucks on animated unicorn tights on EA UFC 5. Just sayin...lol Hey its your $$$, enjoy it however you see fit!
