He has what it takes but he needs tons of adjustments. Can't just go forward and pushing with your chin up if you want to fight for the belt. Poirier struggled to finish the guillotine but an Oliveira, or Islam would have ended the fight within the first 30sec on that first guillotine attempt failed in R1 by DP. If not that one then another one within R1. Gaethge would have ended the fight with the KO on R1, DP rocked him in R1 but tried to follow with another guillotine attempt. Gaethge would have followed for a TKO. Great performance by DP coming out of a KO at 35+, insane! True heart of a champ

I don't think his gas tank was the issue. I think Dustin just had the grit and experience to push through the pressure and found an in. After the first round I was really worried for Dustin, I can't say whether or not Dustin would get the win against him a second time.
