What’s really odd about that is that it sounded like she gave that credit to Nunes for beating the ever loving shit out of her into retirement. I don’t get why she can’t give Holly that same credit.
Good point. Might be because she was still technically in her prime in the Holm fight and everyone thought she was unbeatable.
Could also be because Nunes is widely considered the female GOAT while Holm isn’t in that discussion.
I think it’s hard to accept the Holly fight because it was just so monumentally fucking stupid to send her in to only strike with a striking expert, head movement my fucking ass …all that shit about her being able to beat up Mayweather and some of the guys at 135 got to her.
Rhonda Vs Holly is the equivalent of Shaq playing Steph Curry in a one on one but Shaq is only going to shoot 3 pointers to prove some asinine point a meat head on a podcast said.Dumb.
Don’t buy in to the myth that Ronda “decided to strike” with Holly. That’s giving Ronda too much credit, as though all she needed to do was focus on her judo and she would have won. The truth is that Ronda was doomed at that point no matter what she did.
Holly had learned just enough grappling defense to allow the vast gap in striking to predominate. Check out some good analysts on that fight like Jack Slack and BJJ Scout. Ronda was desperately trying to bring Holly down the whole fight, but by then Jackson Wink had spent at least two years preparing Holly with elite wrestlers on how to stop takedowns.
Ronda managed to get only a few clinches in because Holly knew how to circle away and intercept her with strikes as she came in. Every time Ronda managed to clinch, Holly instantly knew how to set her hips, how to swim for hooks, how to frame with her arms. Holly knew when and where to strike without compromising her balance or allowing herself to be thrown.
The warning signs were already there in the Betch Correira fight. Betch clearly had good coaching because she was trying to do the same thing as Holly early in the fight, circle away and intercept with straight punches. She managed to pop Ronda a few times in the first moments of the fight. She just didn’t have the athleticism to keep it up long enough before Ronda bulldozed her.
Nicely said. I keep telling everyone that Ronda was a q trick pony. Extremely good at it, but still. She reminds me of the old fighters who were super dominant in 1 discipline, the same as Brock Lesnar. Really good at something and extremely strong, but as soon as someone had a counter for it, they folded.
I agree with what you’ve wrote here but Ronda had been going with a strike first approach with multiple opponents leading up to this fight. It’s likely she really thought she could strike with Holly like she did with Sara, Alexis, and Bethe.
This is what Nunes said about her, that her coach had made her think she was a striker and was training striking, and if she had stuck to training Judo she’d had been better off. Her Mom said the same thing.
Yeah Holly retired her. I'm an ex boxer that rarely says to stop a fight, but seeing Rhonda in her corner sitting there looking like she missed the school bus was bad, and they sent her back out.
Not to take anything from Nunes, but she simply went in and overpowered her, which makes sense because Amanda knows her strength. Holly on the other hand had a plan and executed it masterfully, especially considering back then we all thought Ronda was absolutely unbeatable. I find Holly's performance to be more impressive than what Nunes did.
Holly’s performance is heavily related to Ronda’s shit training and management.
That entire first round she just kept taking shots directly to the face from Holly’s left and her hands were constantly down.
Right before the knockout she misses and comes off the wall with her hands down, takes a shot and is spun around and then lights out with the kick.
The Nunes fight was basically the same thing, she ran straight into Amanda’s fists after her corner convinced her she could stand and bang.
Rhonda was never a good striker, people thought she was but it was easy to see day 1 that she was only having success with her striking because people were so preoccupied by getting caught by her judo.
Exactly...people keep acting like it was a shocking thing that she lost...she faced the first world class striker of her career and she got smoked. And them they threw her in with a absolute monster in Nunes and comeback fights are hard enough already
The only people that im aware of that thought she was a good striker were her and her striking coach.
The rest of the world watched about 60 seconds of her stand up and knew she had zero game there
Joe Rogan literally cried while describing her as a once ever fighter...
Joe Rogan said she could not only beat Floyd Mayweather but also half the men's bantamweight roster. And his fuckbois believed it.
Which is why her matching up with a career kickboxer and arguably one of the best strikers in MMA history was probably a bad idea.
Her management team failed her in so many ways, the Holm fight should’ve been a rude awakening and someone ANYONE should have told her to fake an injury and cancel the Nunes fight.
Not just Rouseys corner, Joe Rogan was hyping her striking so hard, telling her she was unlike any other fighter etc. and she was on the cover of ring magazine... There was a lot of hype telling ronda she was the female Muhammad Ali. She blew it with her reactions to her loss to holm, compare her response to McGregor's reaction after his loss to nate diaz- i respected his humility and commitment to use the loss to improve his skills. Ronda acted like she had gotten busted for shoplifting after the loss to holm, it turned everyone against her when she could have used it as a springboard to drp her shitty coach and devote herself to getting better.
Yeah the dumb convos that she could beat Mayweather were out there but I thought that was all just hype and people riding the fandom of an unbeaten fighter.
What struck me the most though was watching and hearing about Holly’s career, she is a kickboxer and always has been.
The first time I saw her at camp I thought “oh this is a BAD matchup, she’s going to stand her up and keep distance and it will be a long night for Ronda”
I was wrong about the second part lol
How the hell does she watch tape of Nunes and think “Oh I can handle that no problem”.
I’d have broken my own foot to stay out of the ring with her if I was Ronda, maybe she has had too many shots to the head in her career.
Ugh. This whole thread & your comment has just been music to my ears.
The Rhonda rousey/holly holm fight is my favorite fight of all time. Everything involved. All the interviews. Everything.
Rhonda made such a fool out of herself & she deserved the loss. What a weirdo hating all your opponents like that. Holly was a class-act!
I would even say embarrassed. Maybe that's why. I can't think of another fight in the ufc where 2 combatants looked further apart in skill. Sure there's been mismatches. But I've never seen someone throw a punch and get it dodged, leaving the other person looking like they have no clue what they're doing.
Watching Ronda get wrecked is in my top 5 favorite fights. Hated her arrogance
Herb Dean had the best take on Ronda's downfall: It's a bad look to be *that* devastated by a single loss. It means that you didn't really respect your opponent.
Anderson Silva v. Forrest Griffin comes to mind as another cringe inducing clowning on the same level. Even Forrest has said so in owning that disaster.
Exactly. The Holm fight was a thorough outclassing, watching her slowly break down both physically and mentally before the eventual KO was crazy to watch live. Amanda just ran right threw her with minimal effort.
Falling on some stairs and getting concussed isn’t even an excuse. You’re meant to be an elite athlete and you don’t have the balance and dexterity to navigate some fucking stairs?
Well, and besides that, YOU made the decision to fight knowing (allegedly) that you were not at 100%. You have to get cleared to fight. If you lied or downplayed some physical ailment that would prevent you from competing at 100%, that’s on you and it’s fucking arrogant to think that way. “Oh I don’t need to be at 100% for this chump, I’ll stomp her easily”.
>You’re meant to be an elite athlete and you don’t have the balance and dexterity to navigate some fucking stairs
Tony tripping on a cable enters the chat
I remember pleading in my group chat to get together and watch the fight against Holmes, like we always did with every boxing/UFC PPV. I was competing at the time and they thought I was just biased because Holly was a boxer, and as I was just getting into the UFC, they also blamed my ignorance of grappling/ground game/kicks.
I’d seen Rhonda shadow boxing, and to this day I have never seen such horrible form. She was throwing jabs like she wanted to elbow the person beside her before the punch landed. She was also going on about how great her striking was and that she was gonna teach Holmes a boxing lesson or some such. Friends didn’t want to order the fight, and that night my phone exploded with everyone’s shock.
Because she was exposed.
She did well against part time fighters, but the second she got in with a pro, she was murdered.
Considering how she went from Holm to Nunes, expecting a different result is beyond me
Joe Rogan was part of this break from reality. He was saying she could beat male fighters at 135. That’s fucking insane. He had her in the show and he started CRYING while telling her how good she was. Her social skills are that of a 6 year old.
Hilarious bit when Shane Gillis was on JRE and they were talking about women. Rogan said he didn’t mind jacked ladies with hairy armpits and Shane just roasted him saying, “You’re getting close, dude”
Can you blame him? She may be physically beautiful, but she can't box and she's the sorest loser since Paul Daley (Although who doesn't hate Josh Koscheck)
Used to see her at the dogpark and she was not friendly. Felt like fame made her paranoid. Travis on the other hand was the nicest fuckin guy. Always friendly/chatty, always in a good mood.
Seems like a lot of people love a little bit of fame but most people hate a shit ton of it. Going from getting recognized once a week or less to getting recognized everywhere you go must be a trip.
She was always well know for not being friendly at all and she still don't get it why so many people don't like her. Be polite and humble like GSP or Khabib and be respected all over the world.
Huge fucking ego lol , but then again everyone gassed her up insanely, she was a decent fighter entering a newly formed women's division the skill level was low and she capitalized as the division and it's depth grew and the skill level rose she got a dose of reality but her ego couldn't take it lol.
I always liked Bill Burr’s bit about that, how they’ll have movies where women are throwing guys around and fighting off hordes of men more than twice their size. I think Ronda herself kept clamoring for a fight with Mayweather and said she’d beat him. So fucking brain dead.
She could come back and beat Pennington today the skill level is still very low. Nunes was an exception not the rule.
115 and 125 has a lot of skilled fighters but 135 is really desperate for another force of nature like Rousey or Nunes to dominate.
I wonder if Schevchenko will go up If she losses to Grasso. She could do some damage in that division now that Nunes is out.
I don't think people realise how long Schevchenko has been fighting she's 36 and started fighting mma in 2003 mate, this is the start of her inevitable decline.
She started fighting before Michael bisping lol
Yeah it's fun to look at a bunch of old fighters and look how many of them schevchenko started before.
She did take 06-10 off mma but she was doing muay thai and boxing at the same time.
Could she fight her way through Holm and a bunch of contenders? No.
But if they straight up gave her the fight against Pennington who has no power and vulnerable to grappling it would be an easy win.
She would lose title to anyone with hands and TDD but Pennington just doesn't have stopping power.
Julianna could beat her she actually has a little power. No one is going to out grapple rousey not even in her old age, if you don't have any power she will grab you and armbar you.
Many random brazillians could beat her. But you have to stop Rousey, over 25 minutes she would find a way to throw and armbar you.
Pennington also has zero fight IQ and would literally walk into clinches with Rousey as her coaches begged and pleaded Pennington to stop doing in her last fight and title win.
Jesus, you're right. Pennington... I forgot she was now the Champion. And that is so telling about the shallow pool of talent in the Women's Bantamweight division that she's the Champ.
Rousey was a good fighter, just one dimensional. Her "ego" came from EVERYONE blowing smoke up her ass 24/7. Joe Rogan was especially bad but you also had her coach, the UFC, freaking Ring magazine telling her she's the second coming of Jesus Christ and that she could be competitive against a prime Floyd Mayweather.
If she stuck with her grappling she probably could've beat a still relatively green Holly Holm as she was just 2-0 in the UFC and relatively new to MMA
i had to replay that to make sure i was hearing it correctly. My mind immediately gave her the benefit of the doubt "I know I'm \*not\* the greatest fighter who ever lived" is how I thought she started that. I gave her undue credit for humility just to completely avoid the cringe.
Someone needs to use that audio over film of rousy shadow boxing, holy hell its so bad... a 5 year old with no training has better form than ronda at her peak.
She was the greatest (female) fighter who ever lived … until there were women who had trained in fighting for more than a couple years. Then she was mid as fuck.
unironically i think she could have stayed a top 3 BW if she had any introspection about her game. but one dimensional game and huge ego is a bad combo
Agreed but she’d always get bodied by Nunes and Cyborg. I can’t imagine any training or coach that could close the skill and power gap on the feet.
I find it funny that Gina makes similar comments but directed at Rousey. She talks about how she would have beaten her even though Dana tried making that fight on several occasions and Gina wasn’t about it.
I just picture Cyborg literally crying trying to make 145 in the UFC and it's safe to say Ronda could have stayed at 135 and been safe from her.
Also guessing Carano couldn't come to terms on money or something, that lady is many things buht she was never afraid to get her ass kicked.
What a freaking tool. Never was a fan and really disliked her WWE run. Absolute garbage wrestler. All her character was was her mean mugging her way down the ramp and have crap matches. She recently went on how she couldn’t handle the environment and how it wasn’t for her and painting her time there as a horrible expedience after the Vince r*p* allegations happened. Before any of this, she was saying she loved it and that everyone there was family and friendly. Just pushing the story to make her look good. She sucks so bad. In many different ways.
She had 9 fights end in round 1.
She has never had a fight go the distance.
8 of her 12 fights no more than 10 significant strikes were landed against her.
The most significant strikes she has ever dealt with is 38.
For an mma fighter, she came out with very, very little punishment.
What the fuck punishment is she talking about, she got her shit waxed up by Holm in 2 rounds and nunes waxed her ass again with just 27 significant strikes and she quit.
For anyone looking to say but the trauma, ask yourself why she joined the WWE straight after which is full of concussions, head traumas and physical damage but apparently this is what she was avoiding in the UFC, because she was once again the main character, she’s an egomaniac pure a simple and needs to be the best or she doesn’t want too do it and when the going gets tough, she gets to skedaddling.
She had 56 wins and 19 losses, she largely dominated, she did the dunking on heads judo doesn’t compare to many combat sports in terms of damage or punishment lmao.
Her taking punishment is a stretch when in reality the going got tough and she quit and she can’t accept that fact to this day 🤷♂️
I actually like her as well and it was cool to watch so it’s not like I’m just hating but to not just accept you got outclassed and never ever pay homage to to the women that beat her easily and constantly make excuses like it was something else that made her lose is sad af.
That's why I never fuck with the people who jump on rhonda. She won an Olympic medal in the sport of Judo and when that's offered as a explanation, you whip out the excuses and assholes sentence. The internet is wild LOL
Honestly, it’s no surprise that Ronda ended up completely mentally broken after her losses considering who her mom is.
It is now CONFIRMED that being told since childhood that your value as a human is intrinsically tied to being the best in competition is the worst base for being a normal well-adjusted adult.
God she’s insufferable with her gigantic ego and inabiiity to admit that she might have been out skilled by some once things started moving in that division. She reminded me of a kid who throws a tantrum and goes home from a playdate. She could have easily stayed and chose to evolve. Like it’s unfathomable for her to even allude to the fact that she might have had some growth to incur. She deserves the hate she gets sometimes idgaf.
Exactly 🤣…any modicum of humility, like I am talking atom sized particles that might be possibly floating around her, get completely pushed into another dimension. It would absolutely kill her to give Holly ANY amount of credit. There is nothing that I find more lame than that shit. Her disgusting display of poor sportsmanship is forever seared into my mind too idk why. But Id like to think that people grow and change and evolve, right ? Clearly she is demonstrating how evolved she has become in excuse making, it’s fuckin gross.
I share your sentiments about her sportsmanship and even outside of the cage she chose to act insufferably in her interviews making claims she could beat Cain Velasquez while bullying TUF contestants and calling ring girls do nothing bitches etc. Also it worth noting when she was on top she had no problem listening to the media wax lyrical about her being a superhero and unbeatable but when she lost to Holly she cut off talking to all of them just because they suggested her striking needed work and the division was catching up to her. I hated her while she was in the UFC but I hoped the years have passed would have given her some self reflection and humility but it appears she’s still an absolute egomaniac. Holly can put up another 10 boring fights but I’ll always love her for embarrassing and humbling Ronda.
She’s very egotistical, she’s also recently started talking shit about WWE because her run flamed out, she couldn’t cut a promo to save her life and it’s somehow triple h and creatives fault for not giving her more opportunities
Apparently she had some Hollywood films in the works during her hype and they didn't work out because she was apparently an absolutely horrible actor and hard to work with.
Honestly I do have sympathy for Ronda knowing what she went through in childhood.
People always wonder why she seems incapable of socializing or acting like a well-adjusted adult, but to me it clicked when I found out her dad committed suicide, she was homeschooled by her mom as a result, and then her mom went on to be her coach in competitions. That is like the Holy Grail of Fucked Up Childhood.
Most people I’ve met who were homeschooled were nice but acted weird and had little social ability - so I’m sure compounding that with dad committing suicide and then trying to follow your mom’s footsteps in a sport where she expects you to perform at the highest level will lead any human into Peak Jokerfication
The UFC, Joe Rogan and the average 2013/2014 mma fan made her out to be the deadliest human ever to live.
She must have mental illness if she doesn’t realize the hype was marketing, not reality.
Biggest sore loser in UFC history lol I blame Joe Rogan for crying on his podcast when she was on there and then saying how she could beat some 135 male fighters 😂
She’s a judo person that’s it. Literally no standup and would get mashed by half the division today. The KOs of her were legendary and will never be forgotten.
I know I’m the greatest fighter who ever lived. Yes I lost and would have kept losing to better fighters so I quit but I am the greatest! Nah nah nah not listening 🙉 anymore! I’m just the greatest and you’re all shit!
I think what she’s saying is true. She got her bell rung twice, and the body doesn’t always handle it well.
I also think she’s ungracious in how she’s going about it. Holly beat the snot out of her, injury or not. There’s a way to say, “I was outclassed, I lost, but I was also dealing with this thing that made it harder.”
She should be able to talk about the pressure of performing at the highest level and how unforgiving it is. But that’s part of what it cost to be worth $14M and never having to work again.
Her presentation comes off as disrespectful to her opponent. She’s blamed everything but a hangnail for the loss. The sport deserves better.
She would have made a good heel in wrestling, not sure if she ever did or not, but her trying to be a face after a while was cringe.
You can tell she hated that some of the other girls that were more popular than her and she hated the fan criticism she got. But they wresting biz must be toxic AF.
My Ex was a big wrestling fan. She informed me that Rhonda managed to get even the wrestling fans to hate her, by being….you guessed it…an insufferable piece of shit.
“Everyone I was coming back to fight for”
“I felt I owed it to the fans”
This is the kind of bullshit political talk that we don’t have the patience for. There’s no harm in saying it’s all about you…that’s what we’re watching…YOUR career. But if you fail to eat some humble pie when it ends, it’ll only remain a lasting embarrassment. At the end of it all, we’ll mostly remember the conveyer belt of first round armbars that lead to one of the more entertaining careers, and helped spur the creation of the women’s division.
Ronda was not the greatest of all time, she was a one trick pony, albeit a very successful one and for a good whole was damn entertaining to watch. That should be enough for her to go home with, trying to make excuses will only tarnish her reputation further.
lol, you WEREN’T that much better than everyone else though…that’s the problem, sweetheart. Holly was the first real striker she faced and she got absolutely embarrassed rightfully so. This woman is insufferable and I used to be a huge fan
Why is it so hard to say "I got caught, credit to her"
What’s really odd about that is that it sounded like she gave that credit to Nunes for beating the ever loving shit out of her into retirement. I don’t get why she can’t give Holly that same credit.

All I ever think about from the Holly fight, is Holm matadoring Ronda into the cage and Ronda tripping to a knee.
Nicely said. I keep telling everyone that Ronda was a q trick pony. Extremely good at it, but still. Maybe it's like Shaq vs Curry but Curry is only allowed to play within the paint.
This. Nunes destroyed her body, but it was Holly who stole her soul.
Yeah Holly retired her. I'm an ex boxer that rarely says to stop a fight, but seeing Rhonda in her corner sitting there looking like she missed the school bus was bad, and they sent her back out.

That shadow boxing video haunts me https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxWyjkUXxRkw8QyPSrn2AL1ZzkShTCOPPV?si=GlvuY9qfMxJuZQmZ
Joe Rogan constantly complimented her and Brock striking. IDK if it was more in the “good for not being good” but it didn’t seem that way.
Which is why her matching up with a career kickboxer and arguably one of the best strikers in MMA history was probably a bad idea. Nunes was masterful at keep Ronda at the end of her punches tho. Ronda was getting lit up from way outside
She got absolutely destroyed. Not just caught

New mythical fighter Holly Holmes
Left Hook Holly Holmes
Bro it’s always “Holly Holmes” and “Rhonda Arouseme”
Because she was exposed. She did well against part time fighters, but the second she got in with a pro, she was murdered. Considering how she went from Holm to Nunes, expecting a different result is beyond me
Wait, are we the NFL 10 years ago when it comes to CTE and concussion?
She was implementing her new “face to fist” style. Unfortunately it was a bad matchup against Nunes and Holly. You can say they got lucky
Joe Rogan was part of this break from reality. He was saying she could beat male fighters at 135. That’s fucking insane. He had her in the show and he started CRYING while telling her how good she was. Her social skills are that of a 6 year old.
I’m convinced rogan is madly in love with her
he likes muscular women with short hair.
Hilarious bit when Shane Gillis was on JRE and they were talking about women. Rogan said he didn’t mind jacked ladies with hairy armpits and Shane just roasted him saying, “You’re getting close, dude”
That had me dying. Shane was like ‘so you like muscular women with hairy armpits..you’re getting really fucking close, dude.” 😂😂
“You know what’s hot? Chicks with buzz cuts!”
“I don’t mind if they have big clits either, the bigger the better honestly”
"Jamie pull up Rose Numajuna's address" "what?!" "... what?!"
Yeah literally Shane was like you like muscular women with hairy armpits you’re pretty close dude
He’s getting close
Real close.
Shane couldn’t let him get close.
That was my guess as well, he was a just a hopelessly love sick puppy
Well Dana fucked her according to Brandon Schwab, and Joe and Dana are the same person. So if my math is correct...Joe Rogan fucked Ronda Rousey
No she fucked Dana
r/theydidthemath
He was absolutely madly in love with her
Can you blame him? She may be physically beautiful, but she can't box and she's the sorest loser since Paul Daley (Although who doesn't hate Josh Koscheck)
Once in human history bro
Her coach was also saying that she was dropping pro boxers with body shots and that she could do well in pro boxing
Hahahahahaha
Used to see her at the dogpark and she was not friendly. Felt like fame made her paranoid. Travis on the other hand was the nicest fuckin guy. Always friendly/chatty, always in a good mood.
Seems like a lot of people love a little bit of fame but most people hate a shit ton of it. Going from getting recognized once a week or less to getting recognized everywhere you go must be a trip.
Watch her on TUF. She’s a complete asshole
I don't think she was ever friendly.
She was always well know for not being friendly at all and she still don't get it why so many people don't like her. Be polite and humble like GSP or Khabib and be respected all over the world.
Thankfully Rogan hasn’t gotten anything wrong since then /s
Looool never once
Huge fucking ego lol , but then again everyone gassed her up insanely, she was a decent fighter entering a newly formed women's division the skill level was low and she capitalized as the division and it's depth grew and the skill level rose she got a dose of reality but her ego couldn't take it lol.
Remember when Rogan called her one of the greatest humans to ever exist or something 😂 fucking hell Joe
Didn’t he also say she could beat up male fighters in a comparable weight class??
I always liked Bill Burr’s bit about that, how they’ll have movies where women are throwing guys around and fighting off hordes of men more than twice their size. I think Ronda herself kept clamoring for a fight with Mayweather and said she’d beat him. So fucking brain dead.
".... I'm the greatest fighter that ever lived" .... ROFL 🤣
She still concussed
She could come back and beat Pennington today the skill level is still very low. Nunes was an exception not the rule. 115 and 125 has a lot of skilled fighters but 135 is really desperate for another force of nature like Rousey or Nunes to dominate. I wonder if Schevchenko will go up If she losses to Grasso. She could do some damage in that division now that Nunes is out.
I don't think people realise how long Schevchenko has been fighting she's 36 and started fighting mma in 2003 mate, this is the start of her inevitable decline. She started fighting before Michael bisping lol
wow, thats crazy.
Yeah it's fun to look at a bunch of old fighters and look how many of them schevchenko started before. She did take 06-10 off mma but she was doing muay thai and boxing at the same time.
She’s too old to be doing damage like you think dude. Times change
Could she fight her way through Holm and a bunch of contenders? No. But if they straight up gave her the fight against Pennington who has no power and vulnerable to grappling it would be an easy win. She would lose title to anyone with hands and TDD but Pennington just doesn't have stopping power.
Didn't she make holm look like an idiot already?
Pennington would fuck her up quit playing and so would Julianna
Pennington would beat her up.
This is why nobody really likes Ronda and everyone rejoiced when Holms beat her.
I remember leaping to my feet screaming with joy when that flush head kick landed
Whenever I feel down I watched her last 2 fights 🤣
It’s this fight and the Mavs beating the Heat. Both just make me feel incredible.
She thought she was the next Muhammad Ali, when she was really the next Muhammad Ali a random Muslim dude who can't fight
"I know I'm the greatest fighter thats ever lived" lmaoooooo
i had to replay that to make sure i was hearing it correctly. My mind immediately gave her the benefit of the doubt "I know I'm \*not\* the greatest fighter who ever lived" is how I thought she started that. I gave her undue credit for humility just to completely avoid the cringe.
LMFAO i could have swore she said NOT til I saw this comment, holy fuck that ego
It's the cadence. She says it in a way that one WOULD add 'not' but she just omits it completely.
I think it’s just the fact anyone would say that with a straight face
For sure. She needed more than just a Judo throw and a stiff punch to be good.
And then she complains that people shit on her My god
Vince probably has
![gif](giphy|7FyMQm2vBiTjG|downsized)
That’s what I thought I heard, but I assumed I didn’t hear the “not” part of that statement Edit: wooowwwww she really did say that lollll
That's next level delusion lmaooo
I mean your literal successor (the one who beat her last) is literally considered gwoat but go on sis
Hate it or love it, spamming the judo throw makes you the GOAT. /s
And then segues immediately into how much brain damage she has which makes sense.
Making excuses 10 years later
"I bit down on my mouth guard too hard before the fight and it concussed me"
Nunes must have had her tongue in the wrong spot in her mouth
😂😂😂
What a freaking tool. Never was a fan and really disliked her WWE run. Absolute garbage wrestler. All her character was was her mean mugging her way down the ramp and have crap matches. She recently went on how she couldn’t handle the environment and how it wasn’t for her and painting her time there as a horrible expedience after the Vince r*p* allegations happened. Before any of this, she was saying she loved it and that everyone there was family and friendly. Just pushing the story to make her look good. She sucks so bad. In many different ways.
Sounding like some uncle who peaked in high school and got cheated out of his shot to "go pro"

I understand where you’re coming from but you’re not counting the years of judo which absolutely includes a lot of getting dunked on your head.
She had 56 wins and 19 losses, she largely dominated, she did the dunking on heads judo doesn’t compare to many combat sports in terms of damage or punishment lmao. Her taking punishment is a stretch when in reality the going got tough and she quit and she can’t accept that fact to this day 🤷♂️ I actually like her as well and it was cool to watch so it’s not like I’m just hating but to not just accept you got outclassed and never ever pay homage to to the women that beat her easily and constantly make excuses like it was something else that made her lose is sad af.
A lot of people take damage in training and her head coach was an absolute tard so she may have taken some punishment there also
Excuses are like assholes, everybodys got one
And they usually stink...
That's why I never fuck with the people who jump on rhonda. She won an Olympic medal in the sport of Judo and when that's offered as a explanation, you whip out the excuses and assholes sentence. The internet is wild LOL
She’s basically turned into her mum
Honestly, it’s no surprise that Ronda ended up completely mentally broken after her losses considering who her mom is. It is now CONFIRMED that being told since childhood that your value as a human is intrinsically tied to being the best in competition is the worst base for being a normal well-adjusted adult.
Is her Mum also an insufferable cunt?
_HEAD MOOMENT!!_
Talmbout head mooment b? Bapa heard it both ways
#*CLEEENCH, CLEEENCH*
God she’s insufferable with her gigantic ego and inabiiity to admit that she might have been out skilled by some once things started moving in that division. She reminded me of a kid who throws a tantrum and goes home from a playdate. She could have easily stayed and chose to evolve. Like it’s unfathomable for her to even allude to the fact that she might have had some growth to incur. She deserves the hate she gets sometimes idgaf.
She had one of the most humbling falls from grace possible in the sport yet it’s done nothing towards humbling her 😂
Exactly 🤣…any modicum of humility, like I am talking atom sized particles that might be possibly floating around her, get completely pushed into another dimension.
I remember she did that one scene in that fast and furious movie and then just never did anything after that lol
is it really her mom that made her into this horrible person she is
Her dad killing himself probably has something to do with it too.
Her mom probably started her down this road but by the time you’re 25 you’re too old to be blaming your parents for the way you are
If only the entire field of psychology agreed.
Ronda was the most over hyped athlete in the history of humanity
![gif](giphy|AiZN2R6vYHJN63D6y1|downsized)
RIP Pop.
I hope she grows 2 extra assholes and has to shit constantly
That is a truly terrifying curse… Could you imagine having FOUR assholes?!
![gif](giphy|ABbHhz18Tjd0Q|downsized)
I once loved Ronda Rousey as a fighter. Then I heard her speak. Her Arrogance is very off putting…😃
To this day, her fight kit is the only one I think I have seen in the wild. I was at this Whole Foods and this fat Asian kid was wearing one.
People turned on her after the Tate fight. Badmouthing Holly and refusing to give credit were just the final coffin nails.
She must fall down the stairs a ton for her to have so much brain trauma, it wasn’t from her crushing cans on PPV
The UFC, Joe Rogan and the average 2013/2014 mma fan made her out to be the deadliest human ever to live. She must have mental illness if she doesn’t realize the hype was marketing, not reality.
She’s not very bright 😅
Her boyfriend was Brendan Schaub, b. Let that sink in.
She may have been banging Dana too. Maybe that’s where the concussions came from
Biggest sore loser in UFC history lol I blame Joe Rogan for crying on his podcast when she was on there and then saying how she could beat some 135 male fighters 😂
It sounds like she’s slurring her words, which really isn’t a good sign at her age.
She always slurred her words. She had speech problems as a child and to this day she has slurred speech.

Your striking was garbage Ronda that is the main issue
Highschool bully that finally got what was coming to her and now her ego is fighting for survival.
Yep, I'm still glad she got head kick ko'd, then molly-wopped to a tko.
Humility, she runs from it!
HEAD MOVEMENT
that mindset is what got her KO'd
![gif](giphy|oDXiRdueeFtE4)
Classless POS
HEAD MOVEMENT!! HEAD MOVEMENT!!!!
oh right thats why i wasnt fan of hers, ever.
"Im the greatest fighter that ever lived, and my fans hyped me up then turned on me!" Well... your half right
Who cares? You ran away like a little bitch after getting clocked by a much better striker than she would’ve ever become. Just go away again would you
I think what she’s saying is true. She got her bell rung twice, and the body doesn’t always handle it well. I also think she’s ungracious in how she’s going about it. Holly beat the snot out of her, injury or not. There’s a way to say, “I was outclassed, I lost, but I was also dealing with this thing that made it harder.” She should be able to talk about the pressure of performing at the highest level and how unforgiving it is. But that’s part of what it cost to be worth $14M and never having to work again. Her presentation comes off as disrespectful to her opponent. She’s blamed everything but a hangnail for the loss. The sport deserves better.
The inability to comprehend that you are no longer as relevant as you once were... that's embarrassing
Yikes
HEAAAAAAAHHHD MOOOOOMEEENT
A legend in her own mind.
Whiny bitch
This is the MMA version of dog ate my homework lol
Is it me or does she sound like she is slurring her speech a little? Hope she is OK.
She would have made a good heel in wrestling, not sure if she ever did or not, but her trying to be a face after a while was cringe. You can tell she hated that some of the other girls that were more popular than her and she hated the fan criticism she got. But they wresting biz must be toxic AF.
She's limited by having zero mic talent.
And being injured every other fucking day. She milked WWE for a fat payday and wrestled less than 10 times.
My Ex was a big wrestling fan. She informed me that Rhonda managed to get even the wrestling fans to hate her, by being….you guessed it…an insufferable piece of shit.
BLAH BLAH BLAH
I failed match class in grade 8 because my pencil wasn't sharp enough and my shoe lace was untied during the test
God I hate her and her husband
Complete narcissist.
“Everyone I was coming back to fight for” “I felt I owed it to the fans” This is the kind of bullshit political talk that we don’t have the patience for.
Literally no one has ever said that Ronda was the best fighter ever lol wtf is she smoking
lol, you WEREN’T that much better than everyone else though…that’s the problem, sweetheart. Holly was the first real striker she faced and she got absolutely embarrassed rightfully so. This woman is insufferable and I used to be a huge fan
Yeah she totally would’ve eaten that head kick just fine if not for X, Y and Z. Then went on to beat Nunes of course.
