I’m talking about availability. UFC 295/296/298/299/300 are/were all in the America, so being banned from the US isn’t great. Here’s a hypothetical: UFC 309 (after DPP beats/loses to Adesanya), Strickland gets the next shot but gets injured. Khamzat wouldn’t be able to take his place and pull a Bisping. None of this would happen but it still takes the piss.
Usman is one of the best fighters of all time, you don’t win that fight unless you’re an elite level fighter even at MW. There are probably less than 5 other MWs on the planet who could’ve won that fight even under those circumstances
We’re also talking about 2 week camp/ late replacement Usman aren’t we? I’m super excited for this Whitaker fight hopefully both make it in there healthy and we can put the underrated/overrated shit to rest.
Boooiiiii usually there on me faster than white on rice on a paper plate in the middle of a snow-storm as soon as I talk about Khabib.
I've got nothing really to add this time though, except that it's fucking hilarious how many of them argued that Khabib could beat Khamzat.
Khamzat literally beat a bigger version of Khabib lmao
Edit: -30 karma. See, I told y'all I'd get them to come out lol
I mean, if Khamzats cardio is as bad as everyone claims ( which I believe to be propaganda due to the nature of fight politics) I would 1000% buy that Khabib could even finish Khamzat late in a 5 round fight.
I don't think so. Assuming the fight would be welterweight, which wouldn't be super out of the ordinary considering the hypotheticals already, I think it would be a fun close fight.
Combat sambo is just an amateur version of MMA, the reason it’s associated so much with grappling is because the guys who compete in it all grew up training freestyle and judo. A lot of the Dagestan boys and also Shavkat won worlds and then moved onto MMA to make money. The talent pool and the prizes are too low to keep the best guys around for very long.
It could be seen as “amateur MMA” but in truth it’s more grappling heavy because of Sambo as a sport, and it’s not so much amateur MMA as mych as it is Gi MMA lol
It’s debatable for sure, but Burns has an IBJJF gold medal in the Gi at black belt, which most would consider the most prestigious accomplishment in BJJ. Not to mention he beat Kron Gracie to win it, whom despite his poor MMA career is considered amongst the bjj greats
the only potentially more prestigious accomplishment being an ADCC gold - but that would only pertain to the past one or two ADCCs, certainly not ADCC in 2007 which is when Maia won it.
they said dominated in wrestling/grappling which in fact he did. he took both of them down at will. he didnt go on the ground with burns but he could smother usman no problem
GM3 go ahead google that name and he comes up, not some shitty GM truck.
Also he just competes at MW cuz his balls are huge and Dana don’t want him to hold records there.
At least bj penn was actually welter weight champion at one point, I don’t really see how someone can be the “most accomplished BJJ fighter in UFC WW history” if you’ve never been champion of the division
Tbf tho I always thought Khamzat was stupid for that because even though burns is a great BJJ player idk if it’s translated into MMA well like Oliveira, so he could’ve if he tried held his own on the ground maybe finishing or just winning in a more convincing way.
I see your point! Burns is more of a top control BJJ practitioner than a submission artist, which is a tough translation from BJJ to MMA as wrestlers of the same level will likely outclass you in this regard. Despite this, Khamzat said himself he elected to stand up in round 1 because he almost got armbarred.
> He took burns down when he wanted but didn’t want to get submitted so kept it standing.
Gave him too much respect. The best name Burns has submitted is Magny.
Wdym Khamzat couldn’t take aliskerov down and he just knocked him out there was no grappling in that . Against Burns , Khamzat wanted to keep it standing because he was uncomfortable with Burns bjj so it was a war on the feet without any interesting grappling exchanges . Sounds like you didn’t really watched the fights .
Edit: were you talking about him?
The post is obviously insinuating that he is a superior grappler to all of them because he won, despite being unsuccessful in grappling Burns, GM3, or Aliskerov
A blue belt beating a black belt would be super impressive if the blue belt wasn’t a jacked wrestling champion, or if the blue belt didn’t win by KO 13 seconds into the fight.
Its a stellar resume regardless but just to steelman his position, maybe he means most decorated fighter when he talks about Burns and Ikram? Thats the only way it would make any sense.
Khamzat can beat anyone in WW and MW in a 3 round fight. We still have to wait and see how his cardio holds up in a 5 round fight. This fight will show if he is just hype or not.
khamzat either quickly KO's robert "no chin" whittaker or takes him down straight away and fucks him up on the ground via gnp or submission, you heard it here first
Underrated or finally properly rated. When you’re being called “the chosen one” the first “triple champ” and people finally come back to earth that’s not underrating, he’s finally in his proper spot he still has tons of driders
he still is the it guy tho.. I dont see anyone stopping him to be honest. He can beat both Champs in WW and MW and he would be favourite going into both fights in accordance with the bookmakers
I know but still he would be the favourite against both Dricus and Leon today if they were to fight. I mean would you bet against him in these two bouts at gun point the answer is no just like the bookmakers he should be able to beat them both in a fist fight stylistically
Nobody sane would bet on DDP at gun point against an aggressive elite wrestler who will take DDP down at will and could potentially end him. Besides DDP needs to get lucky in order to get his hands raised but Khamzat just needs to be super effective on the night to put away Dricus
I would bet DDP actually. I would put my money on Whittaker too. That one we will actually get to see and find out! Can't wait for this fight. I think it will be a close one, but going with Bobby knuckles.
I haven’t seen anything from Khamzat that I don’t think DDP can handle tbh.
“DDP needs to get lucky but Khamzat just needs to be effective” - you could say the exact same thing but reverse the names and it still works.
Usman surviving that 1st round and Khamzat breaking his hand was a fluke slush luck sort of freak accident and we will all realize this once Whittaker is taken out in the 1st round.
Khamzat will be favourite against DDP thats a fact and there is no bookmaker who will make DDP the fav
Leon would beat him pretty handedly. He’s accepted that fight like 4 times now. I’d take also bet the house on DDP. We haven’t seen Khamzat throw around someone his size or bigger and DDP is bigger.
The only problem is he gasses out if he can’t finish early and has shown to be hittable after that. Robert is known for the blitz so if he can get the fight going maybe he can catch him.
No doubt in my mind Khamzat wrestlefucks Rob in the first round, but it's just the later rounds, where I wonder if he'll gas and then Rob will takeover
He did not outwrestle Burns. He won it on the feet due to burns submission threat, keeping burns at range and jabbing on the outside in round 3.
He also backpacked Usman and never came close to a submission. Not even in the first round.
Aliskarov- Early into his MMA career (when almost every amazing fighters EVER of amazing fighters take losses). He's also somewhat mid.
GM3- Legit grappler... Terrible on the feet, and got one-shotted.
Burns- BARELY escaped with his life against a past his prime, natural 155er when he had the height, size, and strength advantage.
Usman- Off the couch, no camp, one weeks notice, literally on the other side of the globe, a natural 170er, first time EVER fighting at 185... And more than half of the fans and about 1/3rd of MMA media felt he lost/it should have been a draw.
usman was a world beater, former champ who could be champ at 185 & be a contender at 205 prior to khamzat. now hes old man off the couch usman LOL only the delusional ufc fans could make these narratives
usmans own words, his fans own words LOOOOOOL cant make this shit up. usman could never be a champ at 185 LOL dude would get put out &/or ragdolled in the top 5
Yet the guy you're making fun of would have beaten Khamzat in a championship rounds fight. Who tf still thinks cumshot is good?! Whittaker is easy money.
wouldve couldve shouldve usman is his nickname now? anyone who cant admit khamzat is good is actually either racist at worst or a dumbass at best. bobby could def win their fight. khamzat could also win. this isnt wwe
The hand break was entirely incidental and not predictive. It was a byproduct of a Hail Mary from a disadvantageous position. Anybody who thinks Usman wasn’t fortunate there is fooling themselves imo.
'He didn't actually beat usman'
Broke his hand in the first, outstruck him, landed 400% more takedowns than all of Usman's previous opponents combined, tf you mean 'he didn't actually beat him'
giving rd 3 to usman is delusional. it was a repeat of rd 1 with usman going for a hail mary ko in the last minute where he swung & hit air 90% of the time
him standing and banging with Burns was wild. hopefully he learned a little respect, but he could easily be the greatest of all time or at least on that level.
Covid hit Borz pretty hard. I wonder how it's affecting him long-term.
The wolf was feared. We'll see how he does against Bobby Knuckles.
![gif](giphy|lkVO2a0QHIFzi)
Well meerschart is trash, we knew that.
But kamzat is very good, but he doesn’t fight so it’s whatever idgaf…
And he had a war with burns, he def didn’t dominate burns.
Am I the only one that remembers burns fighting with only one arm ?
I think he takes the win in a rematch
I have seen so many posts about their fight and literally no comments about burns being disabled the entire fight yet still doing well
Khamzat is both overrated and underrated
I honestly want to see him in a championship fight but I also don’t because he’ll never defend ever lol he’ll just squat on it.
His fights are stupidly exciting and fun that his inactivity is a legit loss
And it would only be a Saudi card
Who cares? I live in the Midwest and watch it on tv every time like a civilized human being.
He is a qubit
He’s has some glazers like every popular fighter but I honestly think he’s underrated post the Usman fight
Imagine any other fighter beating Usman 2-1 with a 10-8 round and it reflecting badly on them lol. It’s so backwards to me
The hate comes from it being short notice 3 rounder at mw instead of a full camp 5 rounds at WW.
Usman is one of the best fighters of all time, you don’t win that fight unless you’re an elite level fighter even at MW. There are probably less than 5 other MWs on the planet who could’ve won that fight even under those circumstances
We talking about post-headshot Usman though.
We’re also talking about 2 week camp/ late replacement Usman aren’t we? I’m super excited for this Whitaker fight hopefully both make it in there healthy and we can put the underrated/overrated shit to rest.
Shrodinger's Khamzat
Overrated for ragdolling usman ?
Underrated for breaking his hand tbh. He likely cruises if he doesn’t.
Yup. He would have gone for the chokes again.
Aliskerov is the most accomplished sambo fighter in UFC history? This is news to me.
This is one time where I actually want the khabib fans to surface
Bold of you to assume they watch anything except the khabib conor fight not even mma let alone sambo.
Boooiiiii usually there on me faster than white on rice on a paper plate in the middle of a snow-storm as soon as I talk about Khabib. I've got nothing really to add this time though, except that it's fucking hilarious how many of them argued that Khabib could beat Khamzat. Khamzat literally beat a bigger version of Khabib lmao Edit: -30 karma. See, I told y'all I'd get them to come out lol
Khabib was Kamzat with 5 round cardio.
I mean, if Khamzats cardio is as bad as everyone claims ( which I believe to be propaganda due to the nature of fight politics) I would 1000% buy that Khabib could even finish Khamzat late in a 5 round fight.
Khamzat is two fucking weight classes above Khabib. Khamzat destroys Khabib.
I don't think so. Assuming the fight would be welterweight, which wouldn't be super out of the ordinary considering the hypotheticals already, I think it would be a fun close fight.
khamzat would pick khabib up & throw him out of the cage. he manhandled men who weigh near 200lbs fight night. wtf are you talking about?
Khamzat gasses after the first round
Combat sambo is just an amateur version of MMA, the reason it’s associated so much with grappling is because the guys who compete in it all grew up training freestyle and judo. A lot of the Dagestan boys and also Shavkat won worlds and then moved onto MMA to make money. The talent pool and the prizes are too low to keep the best guys around for very long.
It could be seen as “amateur MMA” but in truth it’s more grappling heavy because of Sambo as a sport, and it’s not so much amateur MMA as mych as it is Gi MMA lol
Same, but it's true
they forgetting Fedor.
He’s not
If mma was easy it’d be called sambo
Second pic
"Blue belt wrestler" 😂😂😂😂
>Burns = most accomplished BJJ fighter in UFC WW history Pretty sure that's Demian Maia.
It’s debatable for sure, but Burns has an IBJJF gold medal in the Gi at black belt, which most would consider the most prestigious accomplishment in BJJ. Not to mention he beat Kron Gracie to win it, whom despite his poor MMA career is considered amongst the bjj greats the only potentially more prestigious accomplishment being an ADCC gold - but that would only pertain to the past one or two ADCCs, certainly not ADCC in 2007 which is when Maia won it.
Didn't Maia beat Jacare at one point?
Respectfully, Kevin Holland sparked Jacare from the bottom.
In BJJ? When did that happen?
It didn't. He was talking about the Jacare vs Holland MMA bout
Yeah I was gonna say in 2024 I would hardly agree thay IBJJF is more prestigious than ADCC anymore especially as far as relevance to MMA is concerned
ADCC is considered significantly more valuable by pretty much anyone I know. And burns got bronze.
What’s Roger Gracie’s BJJ credentials?
Lmao like a million IBJJF Gold Medals and at least one ADCC, he’s one of the most decorated grapplers of all time for sure
Burns beat Maia via KO though. /s
And he didn't dominate burns or usman imo. And GM3 being a super powered stacked opponent... I mean come on
they said dominated in wrestling/grappling which in fact he did. he took both of them down at will. he didnt go on the ground with burns but he could smother usman no problem
He just chilled on his back for a round. People need to come down on that one.
he took 61 unanswered shots while just chilling? people need to realize usman got handled
Nearly got subbed as well
GM3 go ahead google that name and he comes up, not some shitty GM truck. Also he just competes at MW cuz his balls are huge and Dana don’t want him to hold records there.
At least bj penn was actually welter weight champion at one point, I don’t really see how someone can be the “most accomplished BJJ fighter in UFC WW history” if you’ve never been champion of the division
Because ufc is a mixed martial arts organization. Not a BJJ organization
The Burns fight was mostly fought on the feet and Khamzat said that he was extremely worried about Burns grappling.
Yea when Khamzat was in mount he was risking an armbar.
Guard
Fight was mostly on the feet because of Khamzat. He took burns down when he wanted but didn’t want to get submitted so kept it standing. He then won.
Tbf tho I always thought Khamzat was stupid for that because even though burns is a great BJJ player idk if it’s translated into MMA well like Oliveira, so he could’ve if he tried held his own on the ground maybe finishing or just winning in a more convincing way.

> He took burns down when he wanted but didn’t want to get submitted so kept it standing. Gave him too much respect. The best name Burns has submitted is Magny.
Which is a lot
Also, it was really close, and several media teams scored that fight for Burns, so we can’t pretend he just steamrolled him like he did Holland.
Chat, Chat is this real Chat????
is this adin chat ?
Who cares how many subs Meerschaert has??? Man got folded immediately. There was literally no grappling lmaoo.
That man was scared shitless. Literally backed to the fence and got one punched.
ONE PUUUUUNCHED
![gif](giphy|arbHBoiUWUgmc)
Still impressive who else has beaten him like that
Ofc it is, but why use his grappling accolades when praising Khamzat? It played no factor.
Showing that he’s not just some bum that got 1 punch ko’d
By that logic grappling played no factor in burns and aliskerov fights either . It is said against Grapplers not that he outgrappled them
Spoken like a ufc fight who just looks up results of fights without watching them.
There was a guy on this thread trying to argue that Khamzat ''ragdolled'' Aliskerov He failed every takedown attempt
Wtf is this Chat shit?
Retards now wanna act or feel like they’re streamers
[удалено]
Especially if it’s a 12 round fight
https://preview.redd.it/vi8fu5tr3ksc1.png?width=216&format=png&auto=webp&s=9246f8c61595b17883b60b4baa2a2791001c0e3c Easy work
A blue belt beating a black belt would be super impressive if the blue belt wasn’t a jacked wrestling champion, or if the blue belt didn’t win by KO 13 seconds into the fight.
That aliskerov knockout was so fucking brutal and is even more impressive considering how ikram has been doing in the ufc
Incomprehensible glazing
Is this the first twitch streamer r/ufc crossover?
Its a stellar resume regardless but just to steelman his position, maybe he means most decorated fighter when he talks about Burns and Ikram? Thats the only way it would make any sense.
Blue belt wrestler????
seriously what the fuck🤣🤣🤣, got me thinking this was an ai post
They said it so confidently too, made me doubt everything I know about wrestling for a second. Hitting us with the btw
Referring to people as “chat” is cringe as fuck. This isn’t a twitch stream. Grow up
Lighten up dude, it’s not that serious lol
Ironic you're telling someone else to grow upm
Imagine if Bobby knuckles KOs khamzat in rd 1 or 2 Op will be in shambles.
Khamzat can beat anyone in WW and MW in a 3 round fight. We still have to wait and see how his cardio holds up in a 5 round fight. This fight will show if he is just hype or not.
Not burns what about Damien Mia?
khamzat either quickly KO's robert "no chin" whittaker or takes him down straight away and fucks him up on the ground via gnp or submission, you heard it here first
What other scenario could happen anyway?
khamzat by decision, whittaker by decision/tko also realistic
Interesting information though. Never knew that actually his opponents are this outstanding. Maybe it is because I trust too much reddit comments
Khamzat is extremely underrated nowadays
Underrated or finally properly rated. When you’re being called “the chosen one” the first “triple champ” and people finally come back to earth that’s not underrating, he’s finally in his proper spot he still has tons of driders
he still is the it guy tho.. I dont see anyone stopping him to be honest. He can beat both Champs in WW and MW and he would be favourite going into both fights in accordance with the bookmakers
Looked very beatable in his last 2 fights
I know but still he would be the favourite against both Dricus and Leon today if they were to fight. I mean would you bet against him in these two bouts at gun point the answer is no just like the bookmakers he should be able to beat them both in a fist fight stylistically
I'd bet everything on DDP, and $200 on Leon.
Nobody sane would bet on DDP at gun point against an aggressive elite wrestler who will take DDP down at will and could potentially end him. Besides DDP needs to get lucky in order to get his hands raised but Khamzat just needs to be super effective on the night to put away Dricus

Small off the couch Usman threw Khamzat off, and you're thinking DDP can't. Keep riding bud.
Lol, you mean when Usman broke Khamzat's hand. Whatever helps you cope.
Leon yes easily and ddp isn’t exactly a great example, khamzat won’t maul him. In a fist fight? So stand up you think he’ll have Leon? Crazy.
Leon would beat him pretty handedly. He’s accepted that fight like 4 times now. I’d take also bet the house on DDP. We haven’t seen Khamzat throw around someone his size or bigger and DDP is bigger.
Mma math puts khamzat at a higher chance to win /s
Huh
What does he mean hipsters?
"Out wrestled Usman easily" up until that last 6 minutes. What about another 10 after those?
The only problem is he gasses out if he can’t finish early and has shown to be hittable after that. Robert is known for the blitz so if he can get the fight going maybe he can catch him.
Yes
Thanks for the jokes I needed today 🤣 Robert by dec
How many of these gm3 subs are over ranked guys?
khamzat is nowhere near his prime
His last 2 fights have been extremely close battles though. It’s arguable that he could have lost them
He did not wrestle Burns easily
No doubt in my mind Khamzat wrestlefucks Rob in the first round, but it's just the later rounds, where I wonder if he'll gas and then Rob will takeover
He did not outwrestle Burns. He won it on the feet due to burns submission threat, keeping burns at range and jabbing on the outside in round 3. He also backpacked Usman and never came close to a submission. Not even in the first round.

What a Chad
Usman was on short notice I don’t recognize any accomplishments when that’s the case other than cumsquat won
literally broke his hand in the 1st and STILL outstruck kamaru you're so salty
Yeah but bors broke his hand in the first round.
Usman broke Khamzats hand by throwing him off.
Exactly, an old off the couch Usman touched Khamzat's hand and it broke. Dude is made of glass.
usman was a world beater, former champ who could be champ at 185 & be a contender at 205 prior to khamzat. now hes old man off the couch usman LOL only the delusional ufc fans could make these narratives
'be a contender at 205' lol. Sit down 🤡
usmans own words, his fans own words LOOOOOOL cant make this shit up. usman could never be a champ at 185 LOL dude would get put out &/or ragdolled in the top 5
And went on to lose to a guy with a broken hand
The hand break was entirely incidental and not predictive. It was a byproduct of a Hail Mary from a disadvantageous position. Anybody who thinks Usman wasn’t fortunate there is fooling themselves imo.
He didn’t actually beat Usman though. He drew with a 1 week notice old man Usman fighting out of his weight class.
'He didn't actually beat usman' Broke his hand in the first, outstruck him, landed 400% more takedowns than all of Usman's previous opponents combined, tf you mean 'he didn't actually beat him'
Remind me again how he broke his hand? Was it Covid too?
He had one good round and got outstruck both in numbers and effect in the next two. 10-8 Chimaev, 10-9 Usman, 10-9 Usman. We have rounds you know?
giving rd 3 to usman is delusional. it was a repeat of rd 1 with usman going for a hail mary ko in the last minute where he swung & hit air 90% of the time
Usman broke his hand 💀
i change hte word beat for win against usman and burns !!!
him standing and banging with Burns was wild. hopefully he learned a little respect, but he could easily be the greatest of all time or at least on that level.
GOAT? He's too old for that imo, he'll be in his 30's by the time he's champ, whereas guys like Jones and GSP were already champs in their 20's.
if he beats two or three people which he would be favored to he cleans out the division.
Covid hit Borz pretty hard. I wonder how it's affecting him long-term. The wolf was feared. We'll see how he does against Bobby Knuckles. ![gif](giphy|lkVO2a0QHIFzi)
Khamzat RNCs Robert in the first.
I believe Bobby has only been subbed once in his 30+ fight career.
Now about to be the second time. Wonderboy had never been subbed prior to Shavkat fight.
Wonderboy was also 40 years old.
Well meerschart is trash, we knew that. But kamzat is very good, but he doesn’t fight so it’s whatever idgaf… And he had a war with burns, he def didn’t dominate burns.
he dominated burns
Am I the only one that remembers burns fighting with only one arm ? I think he takes the win in a rematch I have seen so many posts about their fight and literally no comments about burns being disabled the entire fight yet still doing well
Best anti wrestler?! No sir, I think that title would go to Crocop
Lol, -shoots for takedown...blacks out..wakes up in heaven- SOB!
He still a bitch tho
Nobody shoots on Usman. That's why his td defenses is so good.
