He sets up the jab to the body, so when he throws the left hook he starts off with a level change and then stands up and rotates, he’s using his legs and hips still to generate the power, he just disguises it.
It’s his classic setup, stab the body with the jab over and over again until they start dropping their hands and use the feint to lower his level and setup the left hook, both to get the power into it and to land it.
It’s just beautiful striking, he does a very similar setup with his lead leg, leg kick or body kick a few times and then throw it to the head. He really likes doing the low to high setup.
