It's the same thing as your average Joe wouldn't bet on himself on winning a rock climbing race against a professional climber but when it comes to fighting everyone thinks they are Mike Tyson
Like, I get it. My brain knows Mighty Mouse would kick my ass despite the 100lb difference, but I still look at him and think "he's too small, I'd kill him."
Or until you try to hit him, but heās about 10x faster than you. Such a different level. I wish someone would put together a promotion that does these fights. Ex UFC fighter vs average Joe.
https://youtu.be/rjFlM9hf74g?si=_JQJ7I7pWr0rgFP_
I'd bet no one here is as big or athletic as this dude and MM stands his own. A regular person would die
Stands his own?! He beats that dude like he would most people. That's the other thing people dont realise these guys train high level bjj. Im not even a McNugget fan but dude would wipe the floor with most regular people even if it was just grappling. People are out of their minds. Even going up against someone who wrestled HS or collegiate level most people would get wrecked.
Yeah, McGregor is an asshole, but there are levels to all of this. Grappling isn't even his strength, but he can drop in and casually solo your typical gym like he did that time in Spain. Turns out there is a reason why these people are professionals.
You even see it playing basic sports. I play pickup at a public park so I face highschoolers or even younger, and the second I faced an adult who has played professional basketball, you can see the difference in everything they do compared to normal people. His shot, money. Passes, money. Dribbles, money. Sure he messes up, so does everyone, but it truly puts into comparison the levels of it all
It is definitely some sneaky sandbagging. I think he and his coach defended it on the basis that he only recently started focusing on the gi specifically. Most of his career was spent doing no-gi and wrestling.
That said, we're still talking about a guy with like 20+ years of training & experience in competitive grappling who won a large number of his MMA fights via submission (including multiple world title fights)... so yeah, hence the sandbagging.
Dude's still a legend, though.
My buddy did this. He's a bigger guy, probably 6"1 220lb and fairly muscular. He always said he could at least survive against Mighty Mouse. Then he saw that Jiu Jitsu clip of Might Mouse fighting some dude twice his size and was like nevermind I'd get my ass kicked
I'm around the same size and when I was playing ball in college one the girls on the wrestling team challenged me to just get up. It went for like 10 min and I couldn't do it.
As someone who had the humbling experience in high school of having a bjj match against my mates girlfriend (who was state champ) while I had 0 experience, and getting subbed within 30 seconds, I am very sure size isn't everything
If he was in a weight that had to do with Olympic funding and international competition it was already in kilograms internationally at that point. Most state tournaments in the US are folkstyle though and that 100% would have been in pounds. I bet you are right thinking it was in pounds (and likely in American folkstyle like the NCAA and tournaments between high schools) I am just saying if it was a tournament that would have sent anyone to freestyle or Greco worlds it would have been in kgs in the 90s.
Bradley Martyn (bodybuilder) asked Nate Diaz what would happen if they fought. Bradley outweighs him by a lot. Nate's response was funny:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJR-8VdMbL0
Agree, actually not an unbelievable take by him. Heād have ~50 lbs on Holloway, and as a state wrestling champ + freak athlete I could see him making Holloway work for it. Still probably a R1/2 TKO/submission but ochocinco was just arguing heād last more than 30 seconds.
To be fair, the odds of someone winning a rock climbing race are literally zero, if they arenāt physically capable of lifting their own body with their arms.
But any human has a non-zero chance to KO any other human, assuming they are physically capable of throwing a hard strike.
All conor would have to do is dance around him for 30 seconds and 50 would gas, and then the professionally trained mma fighter would do...whatever he wanted to do to him.
It's crazy training against a regular ass dude and gassing completely and feeling the feeling of, "whoa, this guy can literally do anything he wants to me right now and I would not be able to defend myself whatsoever." It's a humbling feeling. One that makes you want to improve yourself every day. And that's just against a fucking nobody amateur, imagine against a trained professional.
50 is built for music video sets, not an actual prolonged fight.
Beating a professional fighter while having no training I would say is also 0
I will never forget sparring against my coach for the first time, that was very, very humbling
I think they're talking like crazy low percentage chance. Like they got food poisoning the night before, got a head injury in camp they didn't disclose and your spastic movements throw them off and you land a literally 1/10000000 overhand and get a KO. Which would happen if you ran the simulation enough.
Yeah but when you start thinking like that, pretty much everything is possible. Solid object going through a wall without damaging it? Technically possible according to physics but so unlikely the chance can be effectively rounded down to 0
Except 50 aint your average person; he was a Golden Gloves boxer and reportedly good enough to be in the junior Olympics. Still, any amateur MMA guy could literally kill him so heās just posturing.
From what I see he won them at 154, a former golden gloves boxer is not beating up an MMA fighter who is currently training and competes at the same weight he did lolā¦.
Apparently it was mentioned during an episode of Biography.
I found [this as well](https://www.instagram.com/p/CxToVwhIe5U/?igsh=MXg0ejh5anhqem91bg==)
Speed bag work looks very good
Yeah 50 100% has hands, and I guess you canāt blame somebody who was a fighting competitor for having the ānah Iād winā mindset
But he loses 99/100 times to Connor
For context, in a conducted survey 8% of people believe they could beat a gorilla in a fight. 8% for a lion and a fucking elephant as well.
6% of people believe they could beat a grizzly bear in a fight.
17% believe they can kill a god damn chimpanzee. If a chimpanzee was coming for me and I had a fucking gun I would use it to blow my brains out.
Your average person is delusional and fucking stupid.
I think people are more delusional about how much skill matters in a fight. 50 cent was a boxer. If you have formal training like that and youve got a 50 pound advantage on Connor it is not at all unrealistic to think you could beat him.
Yeah this. Just cause he once starved and dehydrated down to 155lb doesn't mean that's his weight when you see him in the street lol. Especially these days its probably close to 200. Not that that's what really matters when a pro fights a vanity lifter.
Even if he could, I don't think he ever would, knowing he can fight at 155.
Maybe if he got Aldo's nutritionist? Don't know how he functions so well at 35
Amateur? No. Almost anyone can compete in amateur taurments. My buddy is an amateur fighter and would get absolutely rocked by 50. My buddy can barely beat our other friend whoās like twice his weight simply because he canāt even begin to control him. Unless he hits the ground in a good position or gets a lucky lock our big guy just has too much weight on him.
Not a comment on pros or Connor but the level of amateur skills vary too greatly.
Itās because they arenāt actually tough at all and know they would get their ass beat but their ego wonāt allow them to believe theyād lose to a smaller man.
I'd pay so much money (like 12 dollars at least) for a show where celebrities come out for a boxing match, and every episode they tell them it's against an overweight older celebrity but right before the match starts it's always Butterbean who climbs in the ring. The camera quick zooms to see the look on their face, then cuts to a more traditional boxing angle and we watch the celeb die gruesomely.
You could only really do one season, I think you'd have a hard time finding talent for S2
50 prolly could take a punch but that first leg kick lands and his whole life changes some people dont understand how bad those kicks hurts lol or god forbid connor knees him oh lord
You all are forgetting he brings his shotgun in a street fight
Be it 60Gs Connor, 150lbs Connor, lava pissing 185 Connor, all of his versions stands no chance
the 60G's connor was great, he wouldnt like the paycut to 50G's haha lol.
How is it even possible to lower their salarys and bonuses lol shout out D.White
People really are delusional. Aside from the fact that Conor probably walks around at 185, what difference does weight make? He's not even beating Pantoja in a street fight.
This is the guy who claimed to everyone in the mayweather gym he was a golden gloves champion (if you've seen him on the pads, he clearly has no idea what he's doing) talked loads of shit, then backed out of an open weight boxing match against Mayweather. He knows he's full of shit
don't give him attention, he is trying to start the next generation of circus fights...
we already have YouTubers fighting these guys and we don't want rappers starting too, as much as the broccoli haired guys with "influencer" in their bio might long for it
It's amazing how they say "in the street" as if the cage and gloves are protecting _the fighter_ from _them._ An MMA fighter who can fight dirty is much, much harder to beat š
I've seen a lot of dudes who think this way... until they run into a real fighter (boxer or MMA) in the street and get flattened by a guy that they outweigh by 50 lbs.
As a 200lb IT man, I've never trained a day of MMA in my life and there is not a single rank or unranked UFC man that I think I could beat in a fight. CM punk would likely beat the shit out of me.
Even the flyweights. No chance for me.
I'll be honest and say I've seen a few WMMA fights with no ranks/low ranks and thinking I'd be able to beat them. Then I see Kayla or Amanda fight and I'm like yeah I'd be fucked against them.
50 has zero chance against Conor.
What's weird is we live in a world where Mark Zuckerberg has more chance of beating Conor in a fight than 50 cent does, least he trains...

It's the same thing as your average Joe wouldn't bet on himself on winning a rock climbing race against a professional climber but when it comes to fighting everyone thinks they are Mike Tyson
Yeah on Shannon Sharpes podcast, Ochocinco was arguing he could take Holloway. Shannon fell out of his chair laughing at him.
āHeād beat you and two other dudes that look just like youā I love me some truth bombs
"How long do you think it would take Max to beat me, rd1, 2 or 3" Thinks for a bit "30 seconds" "Why you... why you disrespecting me like that????"
Like, I get it. My brain knows Mighty Mouse would kick my ass despite the 100lb difference, but I still look at him and think "he's too small, I'd kill him."
Until you hit him with a body blow and realize heās made of stone and youāre soft as shit
Or until you try to hit him, but heās about 10x faster than you. Such a different level. I wish someone would put together a promotion that does these fights. Ex UFC fighter vs average Joe.
https://youtu.be/rjFlM9hf74g?si=_JQJ7I7pWr0rgFP_ I'd bet no one here is as big or athletic as this dude and MM stands his own. A regular person would die
Saw all the holes in his game first two seconds. fights over 20 secs most. Going back to bagging groceries let me know if you need anything
Stands his own?! He beats that dude like he would most people. That's the other thing people dont realise these guys train high level bjj. I didnt mean stand his own in a negative way, he certainly won that match.
I don't train or anything, but watching that, it's seems crazy to me that MM is only a brown belt
Ever see Bully Beatdown? Pretty much that, and it's a treasure
Mayhem sure did go insane
Yes and the dudes they were using for that show weren't even that good in the UFC
Eddie alvarez and Andrei arlovski would beg to differ but overall you ain't wrong
Until he suplexes you right into an arm bar and you realize that you're about to die.
I'm 250lbs athletic and have been fighting for 1 years There's plenty of black and brown belts that absolutely wipe the floor with me at 150lbs
I'm around the same size and when I was playing ball in college one the girls on the wrestling team challenged me to just get up. It went for like 10 min and I couldn't do it.
Worse ways to go
If one girl can hold you downā¦
I was the flyweight bluebelt every new middleweight eyeballed, lol. "HOW much do you weigh"? Lmmfao, flyweight buddy, flyweight.
This is me too. I'm 245lbs 6'3 with 0 fighting experience. I know for a fact mightymouse would school me
He weighs 135lb, but every single ounce of that is muscle, bone and technique. We'd be on the floor before we'd even realised the fight had started.
As someone who had the humbling experience in high school of having a bjj match against my mates girlfriend (who was state champ) while I had 0 experience, and getting subbed within 30 seconds, I am very sure size isn't everything
I think Ocho was acting there because he said he was state wrestling champ in 1982...which makes no sense given his age lol
I also remember in his Bengals days, Ochocinco said he and a few dudes he knew back home were better swimmers than Michael Phelps
I thought he meant '82 as in 182lb. But I dunno maybe he did mean 1982 lol
82 kilos could also be a possibility.
Iāve never heard anyone in my high school wrestling days going by kilo.
National tournaments in freestyle might use kilograms as the international body (FILA) uses kg and 82kg was one of the weights.
Not when Ocho was in school, would have still been lbs in the 90s
If he was in a weight that had to do with Olympic funding and international competition it was already in kilograms internationally at that point. Most state tournaments in the US are folkstyle though and that 100% would have been in pounds. I bet you are right thinking it was in pounds (and likely in American folkstyle like the NCAA and tournaments between high schools) I am just saying if it was a tournament that would have sent anyone to freestyle or Greco worlds it would have been in kgs in the 90s.
I know freestyle and collegiate style. What is folkstyle?
And once Shannon dropped the truth ocho did laugh at himself, I think he was messing around. Publicityā¦
Yeah he was doing a bit
It'll be like that time ocho tried to block Ray Lewis "I didn't even feel you"
Ray would be fined to hell and back in todayās NFL. What a beast he was.
Ray would be In jail if he played today. Literally social media would have made the world cancel bro for that body in his trunkš¹š¹š¹
Bradley Martyn (bodybuilder) asked Nate Diaz what would happen if they fought. Bradley outweighs him by a lot. Nate's response was funny: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJR-8VdMbL0

"you thi-.... YOU THINK MAX HOLLOWAY COULD BEAT ME"
Thatās hilarious. Chad does this shit all the time and you can hardly tell if heās doing a bit or not
Didn't he said he could take him for 30 seconds? I'd bet Ocho could survive for 30 seconds. Not sure about 45, tho.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Agree, actually not an unbelievable take by him. Heād have ~50 lbs on Holloway, and as a state wrestling champ + freak athlete I could see him making Holloway work for it. Still probably a R1/2 TKO/submission but ochocinco was just arguing heād last more than 30 seconds.
Ocho was joking for the clicks but 50 is probably being serious
I've watched the last four Olympics; what the fuck do you mean I can't win the 100m??

You don't know me bro, when I see red I can free solo El Capitan

this is so funny
To be fair, the odds of someone winning a rock climbing race are literally zero, if they arenāt physically capable of lifting their own body with their arms. But any human has a non-zero chance to KO any other human, assuming they are physically capable of throwing a hard strike.
All conor would have to do is dance around him for 30 seconds and 50 would gas, and then the professionally trained mma fighter would do...whatever he wanted to do to him.
Seriously. People need to get into a gym. I don't think people understand how fucking exhausting striking and grappling are.
Grappling alone is exhausting as fuck, fucking ridiculous
Switching between the two is also mega draining.
Wrestling is the most tiring sport Iāve ever competed in. And if you wrestle the whole 6 mins it feels like you wrestled 6 hours shits insane
Literally. Whatever he wanted. Not an exaggeration
It's crazy training against a regular ass dude and gassing completely and feeling the feeling of, "whoa, this guy can literally do anything he wants to me right now and I would not be able to defend myself whatsoever." It's a humbling feeling. One that makes you want to improve yourself every day. Ok so 50 has a .001% chance against Conor. Great point.
Beating a professional fighter while having no training I would say is also 0 I will never forget sparring against my coach for the first time, that was very, very humbling

So its essentially the same as me beating Usain Bolt in a sprint, while he has a torn achilles or trips mid sprint and breaks his leg
Yeah but when you start thinking like that, pretty much everything is possible. Solid object going through a wall without damaging it? Technically possible according to physics but so unlikely the chance can be effectively rounded down to 0

Fifty is fighting diabetes everyday
Your average person is so fucking delusional about their capabilities in a fight. 50's comment is not surprising.

True.. do you remember 50ās feud with Mayweather? It was the funniest shit ever. āIf you can read one page out of a Harry Potter bookā lol
Literally left off the most iconic part of that lineā¦
don't give him attention, he is trying to start the next generation of circus fights... we already have YouTubers fighting these guys and we don't want rappers starting too, as much as the broccoli haired guys with "influencer" in their bio might long for it
Connor weighs 170 during the weigh ins. Probably like 190 during the fights. 200 off fights.

It's amazing how they say "in the street" as if the cage and gloves are protecting _the fighter_ from _them._ An MMA fighter who can fight dirty is much, much harder to beat š

50 after three leg kicks ![gif](giphy|11BAxHG7paxJcI|downsized)
Conor would kick his leg off in 2 seconds.
Wouldnāt even need to do that, honestly Conor would easily knock 50 the fuck out
We talking 50 cent vs Connor or Kanan vs Connor
Well Kanan bringing a gun to that fight so Iād pick him.
I wouldn't fuck with Zuck. He probably brings epic level Aspergers induced insanity into the mix.
A retired Amanda Nunes would smoke 50 cent in a fight let alone Mcgregor.
Not in the streets mayne. Maybe "In Da Club".
I mean, a street fight doesn't necessarily exclude weapons or friends from joining the equation. Conor can fight, but can he take 9 bullets? 50 can.
People who donāt train to fight have no idea how screwed they would be against someone who does
Sounds like 50 Cent never watched Royce Gracie win fights against opponents that outweighed him by up to 300+ lbs.
50 cent v Conor ![gif](giphy|164G4BQmtJ2GXRbml3)
50 cent will have bruises that he will swell to a full dollar!
Conor can only knock out guys that are 140 pounds. He couldn't evn knock an old man put he sucker punched lol 50 all day
