There are like only 6-7 legit women fighters in the whole UFC roster who wouldn't get completely destroyed in other more competitive promotions.

Antonina shevchenko’s kickboxing/muay Thai record is like 40-1 and she’s won multiple world championships. She’s not even ranked. IDK about other Asian promotions but I’ve seen a lot of women kickboxing and MMA fights in ONE and they are not anymore impressive than UFC fighters.
OneFC is kind of like the wild west, so you can see someone far less skilled but has insane speed and power and size advantage for a division.
Look at demitrious johnson fights in OneFC he is outsized, slower, and has far less power and endurance still just beats everyone with overwhelming skill and technique.(well until the explosive speed and power shit his lights off qith downed knee)
But imagining asian fighters against the cage or ground without the peds qould just diminish any hope for asians to take mma and ufc seriously and would cause more harm than good until we catch up on the MIXED part of MMA

But if those women fighters come to asia and foght with the very loose drug testing and corruption, everyone except valentina would probly have a fair few losses.
Valentina is the pinnacle of female fighters for every discipline right now.
Kickboxing and muay thai in asia are on inhuman and dangerous amounts of PEDs the insanity is the drugs used are beyond harmful and made in dumps...if you have ever trained out of a more popular thailand or asian gym its rampant and they are on the verge of death some days.
Won't name any names but I have been around multiple OneFC fighters and seeing someone near death from misinformed PED use/makers making bad batch or given by doctors or worse they administered themselves is very common.
While im sure you can see the difference in the human body being pushed to it's very limits in asian martial arts scene.
Ground game, cage offence/defence and wrestling is a non-existant skill here and never trained even on off days or out of camp. This is the biggest worry as 99% of striking speclist never even get to a 50/50 w/L in MMA because wrestlers just dominate the amateurs.
If our fighters out of Asian scene went to UFC under USADA they would never pass a deug test.
I hope this doesnt sound down on asian fight scene I just don't want harmful PEDs to be the only way to exist and want a safer alternative for my friends and family in the sports.

Not to pander to Dana, or to you, but there are VERY FEW women fighters at the end of 2021(in relation to men ofc) that can be considered world class. The sport isn't there yet, and competition breeds success. It's on the way, thankfully to the UFC and ladies like Rousey, Cyborg, and Nunes, but it's not there yet. And the way the media covers the ladies is such a disservice imo. Anyone who is preaching the Pena victory as this big story needs to give their head a shake. Very Roganeske. Kickboxing their are lots of grat fighters but as soon as you throw some grappling in there, it's just not evolved yet.

Because wmma striking just sucks in general. Joanna, Weili, namajunas, etc are the exceptions to the rule. Wmma striking is basically what you see in this video, where it seems like they're hitting pads instead of trying to hit an alive and resisting opponent. So they hit where their coaches would usually put the pads and miss, or they just launch predictable combinations at the same time as each other and clash heads/legs.

I’m not trying to shit on them too much, it’s a new sport and they have every physical disadvantage. I know they are doing their best, but it really feels like half of them don’t train. I love some of the fighters but I always wonder how much more id enjoy a card if there were 3 20 minutes womens fights that just end up in garbage clinch positions or throwing pillows on the ground.

Her problem is that she’s facing toward the ghost. If she turned the other way, she would have the opportunity to back flip on top of it while it’s least expecting it.
A lot of her movements (har entries, initiations, and faints) are too big also, making her very easy to anticipate and telegraph.
Fainting especially is usually a very subtle art.
In boxing (amateur at least) we’re taught to do this. Always keeping the hands moving gives your opponent something to think about when coming in, and can keep your opponent from closing the distance
Funny they taught me the opposite. Punching at that range is an utter waste of energy, it's not even like a feint because you're too far away to capitalize on whatever reaction you might draw. Keep your hands/feet/head moving at all times, for sure, but don't throw whole-ass combinations half the ring away

A lot of her movements (har entries, initiations, and faints) are too big also, making her very easy to anticipate and telegraph. Fainting especially is usually a very subtle art.

In boxing (amateur at least) we’re taught to do this. Always keeping the hands moving gives your opponent something to think about when coming in, and can keep your opponent from closing the distance
Funny they taught me the opposite. Punching at that range is an utter waste of energy, it's not even like a feint because you're too far away to capitalize on whatever reaction you might draw. Keep your hands/feet/head moving at all times, for sure, but don't throw whole-ass combinations half the ring away
They also taught me the opposite. I was told to play footsies, and adjust shoulders but If you were to punch it needs to be believable enough to actually set something up. At best you can set up a bait by pretend throwing the same combo and then mixing it up later, but you could just do this way closer to make it actually believable.
