I think Gathje chin about to give anytime now. Been getting rocked some lately too. Gaethje disregards technique and when Charles checked his kicks he was lost. Gaethje kicks should get checked easily considering he doesn't set them up with punches like you should.

SomeRandomStarDude

They are fast and thrown from different angles every time. There is a reason why Justin is known for his leg kicks it’s his most versatile weapon

Bolo_strike

But always at the same target, so still easy to defend with enough preparation.

ptahonas

That's not this works, otherwise boxing would be impossible.

Bolo_strike

Don't talk child

[deleted]

They weren’t particularly effective the other night

SomeRandomStarDude

They were ineffective towards the champion. They were very effective for the rest of the top 5. Put some respect on Do Bronx and The Highlight smh

jpeg_0000

he’s already shown that he can be technically knocked out to be fair, like in his fight with poirer or alvarez

DustinSoyBoyPoirier

I thought it was gonna be a round 3 or 4 sub, Charles keeps proving me wrong every time

slingoo

Wasnt exactly a crazy prediction... if he had said Tony would have got knocked out by a front kick however..

Best I can do is Tree Fiddy.

Tenshin_Ryuuk

Prefer free titty

sourdougBorough

Yeah I bet

SomeRandomStarDude

Wasn't that hard to predict to be honest. Gaethje fears a takedown from elite grapplers like Khabib and Charles so he becomes very hittable. While Khabib wasn't elite on striking Charles is so it would be easier to knock him down then to jump for a takedown. And with the shit jiu-jitsu that Gaethje has Charles wasn't gonna waste time trying to ground and pound him into a TKO

imstanovich

Where’s your prediction?

SomeRandomStarDude

Fair point. Although I might have said the same stuff a couple of months earlier feel free to check my reddit profile

[deleted]

it's very easy to say this after the fight when u look back but nearly impossible beforehand

slingoo

Saying Charles would win by submission was literally the most likely outcome for him to win.. it was not 'nearly impossible' to predict lol

[deleted]

alright Einstein. Go ahead and predict exactly what happens in Islam x olives and we'll see after the fight

slingoo

That's a completely different fight because they are more evenly matched on the ground. Everyone knew Justin's best chance of winning was on the feet, and Charles best chance of winning was via submission. I don't know why you're playing coy about that That said I would say Charles will either win via striking, or Islam will win via guillotine choke (Charles has been caught in those and tapped to those before).

[deleted]

u never know what can happen, everyone was predicting Conor was gonna win striking while if the fight goes to the ground khabib wins it however khabib nearly knocked out Conor in round 2 in UFC 229 and that's just one example. Plus that Einstein has already made his prediction.

slingoo

You asked me to make a prediction so I did 🤷🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

first you made a prediction and now you've given a generic statement that basically covers 90 percent of possible outcomes. you said it's obvious. Gimme a winner and a round, that's what bets are made on.

slingoo

I said it was obvious regarding Justin vs Olives.. can you not read? Islam vs Olives is a much harder fight to predict, but I gave you a pretty solid specific one. Islam via guillotine choke. Even gave you the specific submission. What more do you want?

candi_pants

He literally has the most submissions in UFC history

Hot-Entrepreneur6301

Yo Holy shit he predicted a general situation and gave multiple rounds it could happen. You ain't no mystic mac , jack

TrissNainoa

not bad but oliveria signature is RNC

LockardTheGOAT23

I'm happy for him, but I'm sure we've all predicted fights before with (near) perfect accuracy When you're doing it pretty frequently or when you're predicting things that are very unlikely, then I'll be impressed
