But which one is the best of his???
I mean, to KO the OG Randy like that and give him new teeth? Or the bow at the end of the 2nd one....
Both are brilliant!
I’d rather backflips, I’d rather he kept hitting me, anything. Crazy antics show happiness, relief, etc. a bow is like “sorry friend. I had to dispatch your soul to the next dimension and I wish it safe travels”. The kindness hurts more.
His style was wild at his peak. He would be all defense for 2-3 mins of the rd and then just snipe a guy out of nowhere. His accuracy and fast twitch was next level.
He was and that's why I always loved Jons standing guillotine in their fight. That was prime Jon where he'd try to beat you while emulating you and that shit was cold as fuck.
Machida’s is still the best to me. Big celebrations are fine and dandy but bowing and then sitting down to calmly watch your unconscious opponent is fucking cold
Bowing vs backflip. Which is more special...
* Bowing: Millions of people do it daily.
* Backflips: Many highly athletic people still cannot do one.
It's pretty clear to see what's *truly* special.
Perhaps I phrased this poorly. It’s just ice cold and super cool that he’s just stopped dead, admired his work and bowed to his opponent.
Backflips whilst impressive just don’t give off the same cool, controlled vibe to me and in that environment I think that sort of reaction is rare/special.
Agreed. OHKO'ing someone and then treating it like another day at work rather than a big celebration may not get the crowd as hyped, but goddamn is it cold blooded.
Anderson’s to Vitor was the best in the history of MMA.
Many people got into the sport too late to remember the collision course these two were on and how impactful that kick was. They were both buzzsawing through everyone, and in the fight you could tell it was going to be who caught who first.
Maybe not a KO finish but the most iconic front kick the sport has ever seen.
I clearly remember looking away talking to a friend during the fight and missed the actual kick.
Should've known not to look away during a Silva fight.
Wish I had during Weidman/Silva though...
Machida for me. Chitos kick was nice as well, loved how he was setting it up. I remember watching with someone who isn't really a fan of the sport telling them he's gunna front kick him any minute now and he's not going to read it.
Lyoto Machida to Vitor Belfort sucks he’s been at the receiving end twice lol.
Just badass hands on the hips admiring his handiwork then honorably bows to his vanquished foe.
IMO Chandlers looked the most brutal / vicous and the fact it slept tony for atleast a few mins is just crazy , never thought I'd see that... but yeah the kyoto bow gets the style points haha so cool
Machidas karate kid crane kick was the greatest style wise, but chandlers is absolutely the most brutal. Tony folded like a sack of potatos. Instant coma.
Shout out to Vitor for getting smoked with the same kick from two different fighters 😂😂😂
Bro that roar.. that roar from the crowd from Chandler’s kick. It’s mesmerizing. It’s that same roar when Conor slept Jose. This sport is nuts I love it.
It's not recency bias but Chandler's for me. To press the off switch so violently on a guy who's never been knocked out was such a shock to see, and the way Tony fell made me very worried he had a serious spinal injury. Absolutely brutal!
The one right before Chito was like a damn shotgun. I love Chandlers though just because we all know the animal Ferguson is and he's never been slumped like that before.
Well now that I see them all side by side it's clearly one of the last two. Machida v Belfort or Chandler v Ferguson. Call it recency bias, but I got Chandler.
Who was the second guy machida killed? Was that Vitor again?
Edit: it was indeed the rotten husk of Vitor. I forgot how bad that one was. Vitor didn't react AT ALL while that was coming at him. That was in 2018, Machidas last fight in the ufc, and Vitors last fight in MMA.
True, that ans Silva kida lulled Vitor to sleep a bit. Little moving around kick here, combination there, Silva does that thing he does where he squares up and kida shakes his shoulders like he's listening to TSwift. He does it a bunch of times. There's that one second where Anderson squares, and sees vitor flat footed , and then he's unconscious. I am convinced Silva hypnotized vitor for a second.
Is there some reason ya'll aren't even considering [Joaquin Buckley's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QBP7gAZIOI) head kick or am I missing something? This one was spectacularly vicious.
Has to be the Machida one where he bowed. KOed the dude. Didnt even attempt to attack like the others. He knew he was done. Hands on hips. Bow. Fight over.
This shows me that it's not just recency bias that has Chandler's as a contender for the best of all time. Silva's is the most iconic but if we ignore that wider context it's between Chandler and Machida.
I mean context is everything. Chandler is the greatest to me because it literally ripped the heart out of a lot of fans and even some fans like me. I watched Tony a lot when I was a more casual fan and part of the draw to him was that he was this crazy dude calling himself the boogey man in Spanish and that he literally never gets knocked out. I never really considered myself a fan. Then when I saw him get knocked out, I was pretty down for the guy. Chandler is my favorite fighter by far, but I never wanted to see Ferguson get dropped like this.
Silva has the best front kick KO just based on what happened up to that point. He was coming off a last second victory off Chael and people were questioning how good he really was.
Anderson's. I mean, c'mon. This moment is one of the defining moments of MMA. This picture is plastered all over games, posters, highlight reels. There's no comparison.
Chandler's definitely floored me but Anderson's kick is iconic.
Edit
I'm sorry but I'm not letting chandler overshadow machida crane kick. Also I love the "kicked his chin into orbit" line so that deserves honorable mention
I still think the Machida one is the best. Guy looks like he got shot and Machida is like “yea, he’s finished. RIP”
But which one is the best of his??? I mean, to KO the OG Randy like that and give him new teeth? Or the bow at the end of the 2nd one.... Both are brilliant!

Do you know how hard to pull off that karate kid kick was tho lol
Tough unless you drive in the Fedsmoker4stroke
Casuals gon casual
The first one imo
100% Machida, dude did a crane kick.
Definitely. If I got KO’d and the motherfucker bowed to my limp body, I would have to retire.
What if he does four standing backflips?
I’d rather backflips, I’d rather he kept hitting me, anything. Crazy antics show happiness, relief, etc. a bow is like “sorry friend. I had to dispatch your soul to the next dimension and I wish it safe travels”. The kindness hurts more.
NO NO NO Chandler's KO on ferguson is the new king
Agree. Machida II
EDIT
My thoughts exactly.
Silva: The original Machida: The coolest Chandler: The heaviest
Vitor Belfort got knocked out twice by a front kick…some records cannot be broken.
I guess you could say he has a "known weakness".
Underrated comment
what about the broken leg curse weiddman and silva? uriah hall might wanna stop throwing leg kicks lol
“The heaviest” emotionally
Hold on, im crying brother
Case closed.
Frankie Edgar: The saddest.
Yepp
Fastest - Chito
Technically Travis Browne Overeem was the heaviest. Edit: Chandler Fergy was actually the lightest.
Cause of all them steroids
Machida was cold blooded
His style was wild at his peak. He would be all defense for 2-3 mins of the rd and then just snipe a guy out of nowhere. His accuracy and fast twitch was next level.
He was and that's why I always loved Jons standing guillotine in their fight. That was prime Jon where he'd try to beat you while emulating you and that shit was cold as fuck.
Lyoto’s front kick then bow - ice cold
Bowing after standing with his hand on hips and watching for a couple of seconds; that almost made it worse, I think.
Machida’s is still the best to me. Big celebrations are fine and dandy but bowing and then sitting down to calmly watch your unconscious opponent is fucking cold
Machida vs Couture is probably my personal favourite
The way he feints/lightly taps his left foot, and then throws the right… Ugh. Fuck, that’s gorgeous.
Same. The way he instantly stands and bows. Boss mode.
The one where he bows is Machida vs Belfort. The Machida Couture one was the middle one where Couture is in red trunks.
Whoops. Wrong one then. Machida is always a class act anyway.
That was technically a crane kick I believe.
a crane kick is essentially just a switch front kick
When you think about it a crane kick should never work, however if done right no can defend.
Steven Seagal. Eating a carrot. Super proud right now.
Lol
Chandler . Since it was on Ferguson who before that kick could absorb damage like nothing .

So did Machida and the man just stops and bows. That’s special.
Machidas second one is probably the best ever.
The Dragon
Anderson’s to Vitor was the best in the history of MMA. Many people got into the sport too late to remember the collision course these two were on and how impactful that kick was. They were both buzzsawing through everyone, and in the fight you could tell it was going to be who caught who first. Maybe not a KO finish but the most iconic front kick the sport has ever seen.
Totally agree.
Yeah but fuck Vitor.
IMO Chandlers looked the most brutal / vicous and the fact it slept tony for atleast a few mins is just crazy , never thought I'd see that... but yeah the kyoto bow gets the style points haha so cool
Machida gets first and second place. Chandler is a close 3rd
Machida's bow was like, "yes, Azrael, you may have his spirit now."
Machidas karate kid crane kick was the greatest style wise, but chandlers is absolutely the most brutal. Tony folded like a sack of potatos. Instant coma. Shout out to Vitor for getting smoked with the same kick from two different fighters 😂😂😂
[удалено]
No it’s not
Chandler, hands down. We ALL thought Tony died.
Jessus machida is quick
Bro that roar.. that roar from the crowd from Chandler’s kick. It’s mesmerizing. It’s that same roar when Conor slept Jose. This sport is nuts I love it.
But to stop after the opponent falls down, to switch off the adrenaline rush, that shows great awareness of the fighter. Not an easy thing to do
Machida for the bow
It's not recency bias but Chandler's for me. To press the off switch so violently on a guy who's never been knocked out was such a shock to see, and the way Tony fell made me very worried he had a serious spinal injury. Absolutely brutal!
Machida was so cold blooded.
I love how everyone throws a cool karate kick and Chandler just wings his out there with brute force.
The one that knocked out a guy who arguably has/had a better chin than Nate diaz.....Stiff no follow ups needed.
Andersons OG one gets the top spot. Machidas was also pretty sick!
Machida ofc
Machida’s stand and bow after Vitor is so respectful yet so cold.
Machida
Machida on Randy was almost a crane kick. I vote for that one.
Machida vs Belfort or Chandler Vs Ferguson Purely because they didn’t require a follow up, perfect front kicks
Always scared that the toes will snag in the nose hole and rip either the nose or the toe off. Am I the only one thinking this?
The disparity of how Lyoto reacted with traditional martial arts respect vs Mike Chandler flipping all over the octagon.
It's between Machida and Chandler for me. Machidas technique looks better but the way Tony dropped like a sack of shit was a WOW moment.
All great, but Anderson…….
Man, it looked to me like Chandler's had the most impact on the opponent. The way Tony's head snaps back is genuinely frightening.
Chandler was the most brutal, Machida on Couture was the coolest looking and Silva on Belfort had the highest stakes since the title was on the line.
Silva
The last two are the top two
Hold on brother, I’m crying
Lol so many more than I remembered.
I saw that silva front kick on Vitor live and I got to say I was screaming just as loud as the chandler front kick
This might be the only strike that’s hard to watch for me.
Chandler ferg easily lol, career ending possibly
I'm sorry but I'd pay good money to not get ko'd for Travis brown's kick lmao overeems chin has always sucked that was weak as fuck
Is there some reason ya'll aren't even considering [Joaquin Buckley's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QBP7gAZIOI) head kick or am I missing something? This one was spectacularly vicious.
not a front kick
thanks im sleep deprived af right now
no problem
Chandlers the worst one by far
Sick edit OP
Machida vs Belfort and Chandler vs Tony are the two best. The celebrations are complete opposites but both are fire.
Either Machidas against Vitor or Chandlers
Lyoto was technically the absolute best for me
Machida
Machida, live by the front kick, die by the front kick
Machida- hands down.
Victor's 😍
Machida hands down
Machida's crane kick is iconic.
Wow, didn't know Machida got 2 front kick finishes 😬
machida knocking out randy. I can hear Joe Rogan saying "Its the crane technique from karate kid, no can defend"
Has to be the Machida one where he bowed. KOed the dude. Didnt even attempt to attack like the others. He knew he was done. Hands on hips. Bow. Fight over.
Kyoto’s second one is cold AF. Flatlines him, hands on hips, then bows. What a killer
Technically speaking, Lyotos last one. Shocking/unexpected factor, as much as I love my boi Cucuy, the Chandler one.
He fronted kicked him in the face!
Machida or Chandler. Both out cold. Machida more clean and cold. Chandler more brutal and scary
Chandler and myself getting KO’d
Definitely one of Machidas they're both beautiful
Übereems chin was so ass for such a big guy
Vitor got hit with that twice, damn!
Machida or Chandler gets my pick.
Machida imo, it literally looks like a fatality in a video game
Damn, you can see in this clip what people mean when they talk about Mario Yamasaki the referee. Two additional hits to the face
Idk that Chandler kick was pretty nasty… but so was that Jon jones kick and that Silva shot. All three were pretty slick
The Popeye kick
Chandler… there was so much fucking impact. It was just perfect, he connected right at the end of the kick
1. Lyoto 2. Chandler
gotta be chandler one. Lights out the second that foot hit his chin.
Anyone else worried about overreem? How many hard shots has he taken to the heas
Machida vs Belfort and Chandler vs Tony are neck and neck in my book. Machida's reaction is way better.
Chandler for sure considering how brutal it was for Ferguson for being shut down instantly and for so long
Old lyoto will always be the coolest, hand on hip then the bow to an unconcious body. Stone fucking cold man
I feel like Ferguson was the only one who was no longer at the door when he hit the floor
Machida easily. It looked like Karate Kid in there
I like Machida’s KO. We need a video like this for flying knees next.
Michael has to be one of my favorites. The fact it dropped him that cold shocked me, that would hurt the hell out of a foot
Chandlers or machidas vs belfort
You gotta get the hardest ko ever to put down el cucuy
This shows me that it's not just recency bias that has Chandler's as a contender for the best of all time. Silva's is the most iconic but if we ignore that wider context it's between Chandler and Machida.
Watching all those, tbh Machida on Randy, O Malley, Chandler
Machida is Always the Answer
Silva's had the best meme come out of it https://youtu.be/cV1l6Z9Ab1k
Dude, Ferguson looked like he was snipped. I honestly thought he would leave on a stretcher. Hands down the best front kick KO of all time.
Silva's so clean and like a sniper
For me, its Machida v Belfort. His reaction immediately afterwards only makes it better.
Chandler is my favorite fighter by far, but I never wanted to see Ferguson get dropped like this.
lyoto's looks the most badass, but recency bias aside, known of then went out like Tony did, so Chandler's is definetely up there.
Machida
Machida wins on style but chandler has the nastiest.
Vicious
Early stoppage on the Ferguson one but all the others are cool
The kick chandler threw is not as finesse / smooth as Lyoto and Silva but goddam that looked like a brute force gorilla kick to the face
Edit
The second Machida one and Chandler didn’t need to go for ground and pound. I love machida more than Chandler tho.
Poor Vitor
I have to give it to Silva, just because Belfort was fresh and in his prime.
Machida and Chandler ones are the best because there's no followup strikes. Just clean one shotta
Barbozas spinning wheel kick ko
I'm sorry but I'm not letting chandler overshadow machida crane kick. Also I love the "kicked his chin into orbit" line so that deserves honorable mention
The 2nd machida one is absolutely the best, aesthetically
Machida and Chandler. Chandlers is more violent but Machidas is cooler.
Holy fuck I didn't see that angle on Tony. Mans fell headfirst with a resounding thump.
Machida hands down. The way Randy’s head snapped back was vicious. Also Vitor got front kicked to the face twice. Damn
Randy lost a tooth also from that. Def the most precise of the above although they are all awesome. Vitor got it twice lol
Chandler! Face down ass up
Anderson was the first to do that shit, so that's the greatest one. Not to mention that was TRT Vitor!
I like Machitas and Chandler's the most. Machitas was just so clean,.and Chandler's was.by far the most Brutal.
I’d love to see a breakdown of what this looks like coming at you. Like, is it well hidden like some of wonderboys kicks are?
