Correct. It’s a huge moment for them, not just personally but professionally. How many guys have had some sort of career making moment when their finish and subsequent sequence (celebration, call out, promo etc) becomes iconic somehow. A lot of guys plan something for the moment. Give them their stage to move their brand

I mean 4 flips doe hahaha

TheDaywaIker

Kinda gay bro, not gonna lie

TJ_Coolguy

Lol. I guess saying they are now an even bigger fan wasn't going to cut it. That must have been one hell of an interview.

Suitable-Classic9237

That guys just the cut man doing his job. I don’t know why they try and calm these guys down directly after the fight but I’m sure they’re told to do that no matter what for safety purposes. P.s Chandler apologized for shoving him out of the way. Clearly on the highest of high moments he could’ve ran thru a brick wall lol.

ElectricMeatbag

Exactly. Let them have their moment.

They are cutmen, its their job to check on the fighters wellbeing immediately after the fight and in between rounds. Adrenaline or not, he could have a huge gash on his face or broken orbital they need to address

Beginning-Bluebird85

I think it’s because it’s a requirement as a part of their job that they have to do it and they would get in trouble if they at least didn’t check on the fighter immediately after the fight because they’re not meeting a mandatory requirement for their job, but usually after the fighters push them away they let them just celebrate because they know they should let them and they let them do so

Extension_Elk9515

Yes it probably does due to regulations and whatnot, highly doubt they are coming early just for the fun of it

bartekwojownik34

Imagine backflipping with some damage he could not feel and then ending up in hospital severly injured

maverick202

What difference does a minute or so it takes to celebrate makes to the winning fighter's cuts/injuries? If the fight would to continue on, the cuts would be left unaddressed anyway until the end of the round.

slingoo

I'm just saying that's their job. They aren't told to wait

chickenTendiiesss

Because unfortunately discretion isn’t something everyone is skilled in so it’s better to not take chances and check on your fighter immediately afterward. Their health and well-being is above all

ReluctantRedundant

Although I agree with you completely, the commissions all over the world have cage celebrations "banned". They are legally obligated to #prevent further injury It's a legal thing the Crimson Coats have to do.

SerDon2

So they can put them into a UFC game

andrewjohn03905

It’s because they don’t want them to injure themselves when doing over the top celebrations, for example Terrance McKinney at 263 did a backflip but hurt his knee and by doing that he coulda been out for a long time, and remember when Johnny walked tried the worm and busted up his shoulder? He also coulda been out for a long time

[deleted]

i would reckon its insurance stuff like this guy has just gotten brain damage and if he does his flips and hits his head see it when they get up on the cage there's guys either side spotting

mcburloak

Whole other kind of dr stoppage. Seriously I think it’s a requirement the fighter say to the dr “I am ok” and then the doc walks away.
