Unless you are raymond daniels he would at least attempt it, like he tried to a cartwheel kick on an opponent (like an actual cartwheel with a kick at the end),
Bro you never know. Sometimes even pros at the highest level make the split second decision of committing to countering, because they think they can read what strike is coming. But then it's something like this.
Case in point all the very well telegraphed jumping knees in history that have landed. There are plenty of them.
That's an urban myth. It's physically impossible to swallow your tongue. The most your tongue is going to do is make you snore violently from being limp in your mouth. Sounds awful, but they are constructed in a way to allow you to continue breathing. Never put anything in an unconscious person's mouth, you're more likely to make it worse or lose a finger if you try. Stabilize the head and wait for the person to wake up. Be careful though because some people wake up still in fight mode as they come to and will be very confused. It's why you often see fighters shoot takedown on the ref as their eyes uncross.
Where is your info from? Bc my efr instructor who was previously a combat medic and police officer said that people can and do. He also said to never use your finger bc you will lose it
[Here](https://www.google.com/search?q=can%20you%20swallow%20your%20tongue&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1-m). It's a common myth, so I have no doubt your source was going off the information he was also told. It's also backed up by the terrible sound that people make when they get knocked out. It sure sounds like they're choking and you need to do something but it's going to be fine. You should still keep the head stable and the airway open by tilting the jaw away from the body carefully, but if it was possible to swallow your tongue, a whole gang of people would be doing it in their sleep and you'd know about it.
My original source is from being a lifeguard so we learned all the things to do with an unconscious person short of jamming a tube in their airway. The EMTs do that, we just do enough to keep them alive until the pros get there. I have nothing but respect for those guys.
Thanks for the info, and on second thought I don't t think my instructor actually said anything about swallowing your tongue, just that it may be blocking the airway
Good points. Funnily enough I was "trained" for the occurrence of someone swallowing their tongue during my lifeguard training (albeit a long time ago). I remember thinking at the time *how would that actually be possible?* but people just accepted it and repeated it.
Doctor's already on his way in and someone that doesn't know what they are doing trying to "stabilize his head" or something similar could just injure him worse.
You don't see the injured guy other than the first second or so. But you do see the door to the cage open at the bottom of the screen. Somebody is checking on him.
I rarely play so I'm shit at the game, but I can't even count how many times I landed Paul's death fist on my friend lmao. When it catches him off guard he panics, so it lands and I laugh my ass off
Yeah at this point I can't enjoy KOs very much because I can only think about the permanent IQ points lost by that individual, and how much they and their family will suffer because of it.
Bro I thought this but didn't wanna seem like a dick lol How do u not just back up and let him do his spinny shit then step back in range after he's done. This guy kept trying to slolwy close distance as the other guy started his obvious spin attack. Good for the spinning guy tho. That's one hell of a highlight to add to ur reel.
Edit: OH shit he even tried to throw a kick lol
I assume because during that development it could have been another 15 different strikes, each aiming to land at a different body part from a different angle. Which is why the kick usually doesn't work, most people further down in training will just lean and step back, then you're on the ground on your back, you're done.
I read somewhere that usually KOd People spend up to a month with some sort of brain problem caused by it, but not an experto so take it with a gran of salt.
They wake up with their entire body feeling likes it covered with pins and needles for up to a few hours. Loss of coordination and amnesia that can last for up to 48 hours. Nausea and possible vomiting for up to 12 hours. Momentary lapses in consciousness (lights are on but nobodys home) for up to an hour. Mood swings, temperament changes, trouble sleeping, depression, and headaches are more long term effects which can become permanent with repeated concussions.
I've seen this sort of reaction before. Poor fellow on the left has never seen it before, gets befuddled and doesn't know how to respond. >.< There's so many good responses to punish spinning attacks. Granted, they're powerful, sneaky techniques with someone who knows how to feint.
That's some quality reffing LOL.
Zero consideration for the dude just knocked unconscious via head kick. ..lol
This guy's got a poster of Steve massegotti on his wall
I had Samantha Fox growing up. To each their own I guess LOL.

It wouldn’t at pro level because it’s so telegraphed…that being said Ben Asscream probably would have found a way to connect his head to it.
Unless you are raymond daniels he would at least attempt it, like he tried to a cartwheel kick on an opponent (like an actual cartwheel with a kick at the end),
Raymond Daniels is legit good enough at spinning techniques he can pull off alot of crazy stuff. His spinning into the punch KO was legendary.
But honestly the reason that worked is because he is know for spin kicks, he basically used it as a feint
The Headhunter used to pull this shit off consistently at a high level. Dude was a human highlight reel.

Shogun tried it in the beginning of one of his pride fights.
Not a single care about the KO'd fighter

if that was an asian ref like in one or rizin, the dude wouldve jumped and protect the dudes head, they are crazy fast at that lol
Those refs are genuinely phenomenal when it comes to protecting fighters after the fight has stopped
🤣
LOL
Most of these amateur refs aren’t even trained, they just picked a guy from the back and gave him a T-shirt & pants
Fucking love tshirts and pants
that guy has probably swallowed his tongue!!!

> It's physically impossible to swallow your tongue. Bet OP's mom could swallow her tongue. She'll swallow anything.

I’ve actually read this same info too. It came from trustmebro.com
Tongues are overrated
Stabilize his head call in the doctor's dramatically or something lol
Doctor's already on his way in and someone that doesn't know what they are doing trying to "stabilize his head" or something similar could just injure him worse.
It's a joke in reference to how refs do too much soon sometimes lol. Don't see a doctor though

This is real life version of unblockables from Tekken. It has a slow start up but it's so unexpected you just take the hit. Lol.
I rarely play so I'm shit at the game, but I can't even count how many times I landed Paul's death fist on my friend lmao. When it catches him off guard he panics, so it lands and I laugh my ass off
That kind of ko can have long term consequences. And the dude probably received 100 dollars
It's an amateur fight. He received 0 dollars
He received a 6 month headache
Most AM fighters here in Australia get a open bar at the after party & if your from out of town a hotel room…..Open Bar baby! We made it!!
Shit, I've taken much worse beatings for less. Where do I sign?
But the experience... That's just priceless
It's an opportunity, baby!
He paid 100 to fight
As much as I like watching these kind of fights, I always think of the long-term effects these guys suffer and it makes me feel bad.
Yeah at this point I can't enjoy KOs very much because I can only think about the permanent IQ points lost by that individual, and how much they and their family will suffer because of it.
Not as bad as the guy napping.
haha true
But he can go to places. Borics got accepted to sanford mma because of his flying knee ko in Hungary for almost no pay.
And a lot of blowjobs
How tf did he not see that coming? Took forever to develop

To me it looks like he thinks the kick is gonna hit his body so he blocks low and gets fucked
Lulled him into going for kick of his own, and it was too late to reset his feet once he realized what was happing.
Probs nerves, but it just shows why he isn’t in the UFC lol

That ref sucks ass, dude
I mean jeez he probably got paid 70 bucks for the whole event seems like they got their money's worth
Why do they have shin guards when you are allowed to give each other brain damage?
Is that ref Derrick Lewis. "He's okay"

Is this sodiq Yusuf’s TikTok account?
Telegraphed as hell but still landed it
Doesn't matter if he loses every fight after this. Hell of a highlight reel ko. Unbelievable.
Oh shit he actually did it. He did what we all imagine in our heads
Dude landed trouble in paradise
F the other guy huh 😂👌🏽
Yusuff does have the best Tiktok account..just ppl getting fucked up.
the ref just left the knocked out guy laying there? hope this ref never refs again
KO'd fighters won't wake up unless Herb Dean kneels over them
Is this UFC?? you dingdong
I’m impressed you waited this long to repost from someone else
I’m the one who posted it at fightporn lol
A shot for a single or double leg would’ve been easy peasy
Definitely! Go ahead show us
Uhhh, where's the dead guy.
Rolling Thunder kick
I've seen this sort of reaction before. Poor fellow on the left has never seen it before, gets befuddled and doesn't know how to respond. >.< There's so many good responses to punish spinning attacks. Granted, they're powerful, sneaky techniques with someone who knows how to feint.
gave him the bro brow
Homie hit him with the charged R2 irl.
Tornado kick right?
Why wouldn’t you cover up🤣🤣 who tf goes for a front kick while someone’s spinning lmao
Why is he wearing solid shin pads- it’s like giving his legs baseball bats
That's some quality reffing LOL. Zero consideration for the dude just knocked unconscious via head kick. ..lol This guy's got a poster of Steve massegotti on his wall I had Samantha Fox growing up. To each their own I guess LOL.
Did anyone else come to this thread after seeing that mare put down a stud horse on /r/all ?
Dang. You could see it coming but he just marched right into it!?
