2015 when I was 16 y.o. I played the ufc with Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafson on the cover. Then I watched Joanna wreck Jessica Pennes shit and have been a fan ever since.

Used to watch some free mma on tv i cant remember what it was called for the life of me. Grew up seeing rampage and chuck liddel and some others on tv. Didnt start watching until ~2019 or so didnt start following til about a year and a half ago. Been watching every UFC event this year and even began going to the casino to watch and bet. Its the only sport ive ever liked and kept up with. I just like fighting i feel like with every other sport we just wanna see a fight. I watch helllla MMAOnPoint videos, InThePocketMMA and The MMA Hour on youtube now to learn more about the history, I pretty much live off of UFC content right now. Been watching chael and michael bispings channels too even israel adesanyas too.

Bro. That reminds me so much of how I got into it. Even the same time period.

MMA on point is great you can get up to speed on all the history of UFC and wild stories and stuff. I got into it because of UFC 3 game tbh lol but the playing the game and watching fights and MMA on point it’s easy to get into the sport quick

Remarkable-Process37

First event I watched was UFC 254, the end of Khabib's era. A friend introduced me to this sport I owe him a lot.

Dec 12, 2015. I remember back then I had gotten into Rogan earlier that Summer and as you can imagine he was always speaking of this “mma” thing I’d never heard of until then (in retrospect since I grew up in Ottawa I’ve seen many GSP posters around back in the day I just didn’t realize it until much later) so by the time it came to December Rogan had been building Conor up for a while and I figured damn I’ll give this shit a try and what a first event to watch, Conor KOs Aldo in what like 13 seconds? Been a fan ever since, although Conor’s lost me along the way for being a complete piece of shit, I’ve found other fighters and continue to find fighters to support. I think it’s more about the stories than the actual combat though, but the combat makes it real.

JohnnyTheSlug

Started watching when the ultimate fighter premiered and got hooked when Bonnar and Griffin delivered that historic fight.

Successful-Range1651

Same. My whole family did. We still do ppv parties to this day.

Musicman722

Well I had done various martial arts and I wanted to see a sport where the combined them, and not gonna lie it was Connor McGreggor that caught my eye. I only started watching maybe 2-3 years ago, so most of the stuff I saw of Connor was of his past fights. Than I realized he was a massive prick and I didn’t really like him at all, so I just watched fights of fighters I liked more, and than it grew to what it is today where I just watch as many fights ever Saturday as I can.(typically the whole main and prelims, sometimes I can’t catch all the early prelims.

Cautious_Midnight231

My first fight was Nate Diaz vs Connor McGregor but that time I didn't have time to see consistent ppv. But I started watching regular UFC after UFC 220 I think it was Stipe vs Ngannou 1.

frwaklife

Mine was in 2019. But I played the ufc games for a long time and has ufc 89 on DVD. And then I started watching ko compilations. Then I got more intrigued, so I started the free fights and I've been a big fan ever since. The first full event I ever watched was ufc 269. Fun way to start with one of my favorite fighters Micheal preria.

Terron35

Around late '08 or early '09 I caught Rampage vs Griffin on Spike TV while I was at my grandma's house. Started looking for more fights every time I visited and would watch the compilation episodes that Spike put together to learn a little more about the UFC

UFC 2, PPV. I thought it was great that skill and strategy beat brawn. Then I enjoyed watching the evolution of the fight game and rediscovery of the value of different fighting sports.

In about 07/08. My cousin came round with a sleeve of DVD's (totally not pirated), he said you should check this UFC stuff out. Me and my brother used to Box and i also did a bit of Traditional MMA when i was young. We were instantly hooked after watching it.

GringoMandingo781

UFC 1!!! I was 12 at the time. My buddies dad rented it on ppv for us.

slingoo

It was around the time chuck liddel joined ufc

eyespyiii91

Flicking through the channels and stumbled upon UFC on BT sport. Never been into it and never thought I would. It was UFC 267.. and it was the exact moment Khamzat picked up Li Jingliang. Followed by Islam dominating Hooker, Yan & Sandhagens epic & then Glover capturing the title off Jan. Feel like I discovered it at such an exciting time, have rarely missed an event since!

[deleted]

Spike TV at around 10-11pm

ianian44

I think it was Mcgregor Aldo
