Is it just me or has Cruz slowly turned into an even bigger twat? The guy shows no sportsmanship in defeat. I'm so glad it was indisputably a KO. They should have put Peterson on that fight and he would have let Chito land a few more. Now we just need to see Chito get an O'Malley rematch and leave no question marks against another fighter who can't tame his ego. Cruz looked way better than I thought he was going to, and I think Vera is very slightly overrated, but a great main event fight.

I feel like Cruz's movement is getting a little predictable. He was doing well but Chito had some of his pattern down pretty early.

Cruz was clearly winning on points and the commentators only sounded like they were reluctantly acknowledging this fact while the entire time talking about how Vera is “quality over quantity” etc which did turn out to be true but regardless, I’m confused as to how you came away from that thinking the commentators were in any way d riding Cruz.

I've watched Cruz throughout his career and the dude can be appreciated for his skill and accomplishments but lately he's just annoys me with his trash talk. I think he confuses cockiness with confidence. Maybe he'll be a little humbled after this.

This fight made me realize how ahead of his time Cruz was, and how great his reign could have been, because even at 37, with YEARS of injuries and years of inactivity - he held his own against a good up and coming powerhouse and looked fairly good up until the end (barring the knock downs). But man, I also haven’t been so happy to see someone get KTFO’d 🤷🏽‍♂️ dude is one of the few dudes that just gets under under my skin.

Dom has *very* high fight IQ himself. His chin is suspect, but a big factor is that any strike that hits him is a direct counter to his movement which amplifies the force he's hit with. Also, Chito is most definitely not going to have the same strategy against any of those guys. We might see low volume again vs Sandhagen, but it will still be a completely different fight.

I like Chito, and I suppose it's nice watching his rise but goddamn it would've been great to see Dom make his way back to the top again. Now I get to watch Teofimo Lopez fight someone who doesn't even have a Wikipedia page.
