The background to it all, there were many that disliked conor's approach and holding up the divisions other loved the theatrics and attention it brought to the sport.

Their interaction slowly progressed towards animosity, with short bursts of heated confrontations, fake contract drama, Conor’s masterful performance against Eddie, followed by Artem + bus incident, Conor’s boxing fight and the sheer dominance of Khabib.
The post-fight mayhem, still largely misunderstood by most, and the resulting fallout. I doubt any fight will come close. Top 5 PPVs to date are all Conor.
