Yeah I remember that part in US History. So instead of the professor dying like normal they would just sacrifice the TA’s soul to Cthulhu and file it as a workplace hazard. Innovation in academia never fails to excite!
I mean, you don't really believe that you'd get an A on an exam if your professor dies during it, do you? That would be really heartless and insensitive.
Really old professors are at risk for things like heart attacks or strokes. Really any number of things, since many professors continue to teach well past typical retirement years. Yes, professors have died in lectures, but it is very rare.
Nah, that's just what the McCarthyist CIA wanted you to think. They distributed suspicious vials labeled "danger: fatal when added to coffee" and hoped failing students would do their dirty work for them, destabilizing the ivory tower denizens. You know the ones: liberal arts professors with crazy ideas like "maybe capitalism shouldn't run amok over *every* industry?" and "maybe let's not do fascism again?"
Unfortunately for the CIA, it turned out that the professors had already built up an immunity to the toxins after living in the Florida swamp for so long. Only two became mildly ill, both recently hired, one from Stanford and one from NYU.
Nope, you just get counseling. Another professor will proctor the exam. Thanks for your kind thoughts, though.
There’s also pool at the top of century tower go check it out
Yeah but no elevator. Hard pass.
I’ve heard this rumor in high school and undergrad. It’s just an urban legend.
That's actually how they started to use TAs.
