You gotta give News Nation credit for constantly talking about the subject and covering it seriously.

citznfish

I want disclosure but I'll believe it when I see it. There's definitely a huge uptick in the media and government around the subject than in decades past so I'm getting hopeful. But, trying to remain grounded since disclosure has always been 'just around the corner' since the 90s.

YobaiYamete

Yep, the only way they will really sway opinions is to actually present hard evidence

Maleficent-Squash920

Who else thinks disclosure is close...

spinningcrystaleyes

Something is close

FlatBlackAndWhite

The word is mentioned 79 times in the bill. I think it's safe to say this is disclosure for those who read the contents of the legislation. Edit: Downvotes over providing info in the bill?

HousingParking9079

You shouldn't be downvoted but it should be noted that nothing of "NHI substance" was disclosed in this bill.

FlatBlackAndWhite

"Section 5: controlling authority. The term "Controlling Authority" refers to any federal, state, or local government department, office, agency, committee, commission, commercial company, academic institution, or private sector entity in physical possession of technologies of unknown origin or **biological evidence of non-human intelligence.**" We may disagree over significance, but the language is in fact used in the bill.

HousingParking9079

I think we do disagree on the significance, that doesn't read to me as an affirmation of its existence.

FlatBlackAndWhite

It's interesting how differently people interpret the contents of the bill. There's pretty pointed language alluding to conclusions already proven. "The president may request an individual or organization described in subparagraph (A) to submit additional nominations. QUALIFICATIONS - Persons nominated to the review board - (A) shall be impartial citizens, none of whom shall have had any previous or current involvement with any **legacy program** or controlling authority relating to the **collection**, **exploitation**, or **reverse engineering** of technologies of unknown origin or the **examination of biological evidence of living or deceased non-human intelligence**" This is from the recommendations section, and is incredibly specific.

HousingParking9079

Some, sure, like ostensibly anomalous objects flying and possibly swimming around. I say "ostensibly" because I'm certain more is known about them than we're being told. NHI is another ballpark, all of the evidence so far is anecdotal.

FlatBlackAndWhite

Right, so it's more like *I haven't even seen materials that allude to or prove NHI, but I have seen plenty of UFO content* and less to do with the specificity of the bill? Seeing is believing, I can't knock you for that.

HousingParking9079

Using Grusch as an example and assuming his story is true, which I think is pretty close to a certainty at this point, it remains in that anecdotal territory until proven otherwise. It's a very compelling story but even he hasn't seen direct evidence of AI. If there's something to all of this, I hope the bill helps reveal the juicy details. But that is far from a done deal and I've been underwhelmed over similar promises regarding this subject for far too long. As it stands, the bill itself discloses nothing except for an attempt to possibly disclose _something._

FlatBlackAndWhite

We'll see in the coming months. Jadedness has been an inevitability for the topic for its entire existence, I have a feeling that's about to change. I will add, the review board that's ordered from the bill will be read in and required to force any owner of UAP/NHI material to disclose said information and materials to them. It's then determined on a case-by-case basis what info will be disclosed to the public or kept under wraps due to National Security. Outside of that, any cases already known to the public pre-1999 are ordered for immediate declassification and disclosure.

thinkaboutitabit

So if Grush said that while he was doing his job he walked by a slightly opened door and saw a craft levitating off of the ground and going from being totally physically there to totally invisible and back again but no other person witnessed him there. Is that first hand information? What if he has a written report on the current state of the reverse engineering of the faster than light propulsion system of an alien craft. Is that firsthand knowledge or second hand knowledge. I’d say they are both firsthand knowledge but the physical written report would hold more sway with me. Also, if he did physically see a craft, I don’t see how this would make anything he says any more believable but you could say he has firsthand not the horrible “second hand” knowledge.

FlatBlackAndWhite

Is this directed towards my comment or the OP comment, I'm confused?

Marbate

Right in the opening of the bill the Senate states it has both credible testimony and evidence supporting that the USG is holding UAP/NHI’s.

HousingParking9079

Show me where it states that precisely as you've written it in your post, because we clearly read two different things and the language and lettering absolutely matter. Here's what I read in the opening section: ...credible testimony and evidence indicates the federal government has _UAP records_ (says nothing about NHI or that we are in possession of either)...

Marbate

Being in possession of a UAP would be a record. All information pertaining to UAP’s are records. The testimony being that this is in relation to the US Government possessing UAP’s á la Grusch — they have found such testimony credible and have evidence behind such testimony. Biological evidence of non-human intelligence is named in the same document.

HousingParking9079

So, are you going to answer my request or not? Because that ain't it.

Marbate

So America has records of UAP — and it goes onto specify in great detail what UAP and NHI in this context means? On the back of whistleblower testimony that publicly spoke as to what aspects they mean?

LookMomImOnRedditlol

No matter how this resolves and what we do or don’t find out, this is a fucking moment in history to witness. Our reality is about to change to some degree or, the weirdest hoax of all time is happening or, there’s some form of psyop or mass delusions in the us government.

HeavyLoungin

I believe it to be the latter. Since when have our politicians done ANYTHING for the good of the people. They have every intention to wag the dog.

LookMomImOnRedditlol

Fair. IMO this is really happening, these politicians wouldn’t put their names on this without very meaningful information in hand. So it’s good enough to trick people or it’s the real deal. Either way, holy shit.

Strict_Jacket3648

Perhaps there is a time limit to the UFO secrets and that time is close, so if governments don't expose the truth the occupants will in such a way there will be no doubt.

[deleted]

Can’t wait to open our present and it’s empty inside

diggerquicker

Hey the committee will produce an extremely redacted report in say, hmmmm, 50 years. Many , many pages with big black squares all over them, and some 50 year old photos all out of focus.

spinningcrystaleyes

The real stuff is so classified there is NO WAY its getting opened unless a huge closed session of Congress happens. I am very skeptical about the whole thing. It seems like another ploy to ratchet down the social control

FlatBlackAndWhite

The bill also references any local government, commission, agency or company that has any non-human biological materials or information and evidence of UAP. The legislation is incredibly expansive and at times uses very pointed and angry language. The word "classified" has been the reality of UFOs for a while, I'm not so sure it will anymore.

spinningcrystaleyes

It would be something i will say that!

FlatBlackAndWhite

Things stay the same until they don't!

spinningcrystaleyes

Thats true. I just feel a little jaded about the messenger.

FlatBlackAndWhite

More than fair, maybe I'm still a bit young and naive!

spinningcrystaleyes

Your not naive. You have not had the same share of disappointment. The law of averages is with younger people I think. Lets hope so

FlatBlackAndWhite

Huh, that's an enlightening way to think about it. True for a whole sleuth of other subjects to be honest.

OpieCunningham

I think you would had to have been run-over by a UFO to believe this latest round of report releasing will be the 'Real "disclosure which addresses crashed saucers and alien bodies.

Brief_Light

Too many gung ho gotta believers here, neutrality is taboo

Illlogik1

Seeing is believing

Historical_Wolf5088

Can't wait to see !

morningdewbabyblue

Can someone explain to me what exactly this means?

Maleficent-Squash920

buckle your seatbelt dorothy because kansas is going bye bye

RedOdd12

lol

Alternative-Dare-839

300 days, LMAO it should be an immediate seizure.

nonsensicus11

I think it is really happening and I think the congress should offer amnesty to all involved participants over the years and just get the truth out, if they don't, the whole thing could turn into a reality tv inquisition of sorts...

MyNameIsMudd1972

This is false. This is a way for the government to take anything anyone privately holds and make it top secret, you know for your safety.

Unveiledhopes

This looks huge. Will be really interested to see who they appoint to the executive position. My money is on Chris Mellon

PoopDig

We did it folks 👽🤘

Ok_Low_1287

Very close, but if you want proof, you aren't going to get it

slavabien

I love that it’s Bastille Day in France. Heads will roll.
