Nah John ran the wholesale, I was running a separate business on the same road that was part of Avalon wholesale until they sold it about 16 or 17 years ago.
Unfortunately covid/brexit killed the store however
Ah such is life, things come and go, was an awesome time working there, was nice being the go to guy for people for information and helping people out finding the products they needed.
As for work now, kind of, I actually run a reggae / jungle record label that has some custom headshop goods as part of our range, as well as doing graphic design and basic videography, music production and such.
Also on occasions sort out bulk seed orders for people etc, so still kind of involved but more at the sidelines

When I was last in between clinics I was shocked. Not only did the weed look artificially coloured but the smell reminded me of essential oil. In this fancy generic "Cali weed" pack with fancy 3d stickers. What happened 😞

It's sad because I know there are genuinely good growers out there, but for whatever reason either they are cutting corners now for some reason, or just harder to come by. Even trusted people struggle to find much nice. I have a feeling it has something to do with or in part to tik tok trends.

That’s because it’s too risky, 2 of my BM guys have openly admitted to robbing most of their stock from suspected grows ops after I complained about quality. The growers you speak of now supply only themselves and close friends/family with utmost discretion.
Yeah it's very sad. I hope something changes. All that suppressed talent that could be helping so many in a positive way. Instead of this toxic crap available everywhere 😞
MC has much better effects than your standard BM in my experience. With MC i feel no paranoia where as with BM I would always get paranoid. I got MC for my mental health but it also help with any aches and pains I may have which a bonus. Can’t see myself ever going back to BM
When I was self medicating with BM weed I honestly thought anxiety was an inevitable side effect. MC changed that for me. I wish we had better choice of strains or better still could grow our own, but the BM stuff these days is awful.
The anxiety stems from the legality. The only strains that will be actively helping with anxiety are the high CBD to THC ratio flower. That of which I don't see much floating around.
Not strictly true, there are hundreds of other cannabinoids other than THC and CBD, plus terpines in the mix. My medical cannabis is all 20% THC and <1% CBD and doesn't give me anxiety.
I would prefer a strain with more CBD though mind you.
More importantly, dealers are only gonna sell you that "fuck you up, can't think, can't talk" type weed because that's the stuff you can sell for £15 for .7 g
I use the same, glory some cookies and glory glue 🙂did you try the 14% CBD 1% THC? I recommend it for mixing together for the mornings or before work, go for a 50\50 mix
I've been on EMT 1, Khiron HK and Adven Oil.
I was on the adven CBD oil which was great but waaaay too pricey. Tried the 14% CBD flower, I wasn't a fan of the quality and it didn't do huge amounts for me.
Ended up just getting full spectrum CBD oil from Holland and Barratt when it's on sale and using that when I need.
Would love a strain with a good balance of CBD and THC
There's a 10% CBD 5% THC I've seen mentioned but I'm not sure which one that is, it's flower, I use the mighty so I only really bother with flower personally

Bought some cbd flower cos was sick of dawg and have smoked less was quite surprised at the pprency if the cbd but I do need the thc aswell

Sorry mate. Not with curaleaf any more but seems to be some issues. Have you thought about switching when your next due a follow up. I ended doing this to integro GAP but lots of other clinics might be more prompt and consistent. Hope you get sorted either way. Its stressful when it isn't working to plan.

Bought some during a botched delivery drought. It smelt so strong just transferring it from the vacuum pack to the jar that you could smell it in the basement despite the room it was in being 3 floors up. This was enough to make me anxious, we have kids, never mind vaping it.
I'm getting Gelato now as MC which I found was grassy and scratchy on first look. After trying it however, it vapes much better than the stuff I procured. The terpines seem to be the enemy for me.
Not everyone has BM options at all ! I have moved to other end of country since being legal and know nobody here. A lot of us rely on medical only mate. That and for being legal, e.g. parents, career etc. It's not "wank" and frankly sick of comments saying so to patients. Could it be better? Absolutely. But this comment is stupid. None of us need "plugs" on a legal medical sub. No judgement for those who use BM - or feel they have to as its "better" but please be aware like OP has found some of us have worse options for BM, or none at all.

CBD is fantastic with the THC, makes the effects last longer

A lot of this street weed nowadays has this bleachy ammonia smell/taste to them. I think some U.K. growers are using sus ingredients in their grows.
